Since I didn't find You on ICQ,
pls write some demands for Eire on the thread
after playing scenario for possible edits to purpose to the editor.
Are You busy in school exams?

Yes, i am quite busy, but the problem that did me turn off the comp (after having my worst session ever :( ) was that wasas forced to turn off the comp... "Urko, you've been playing the whole evening; You don't ahve anything to study??? (etc).

Demands for Eire?

Starts as the poorest country(see provs income) in the whole Central Europe. Even Brittany has more income than me!

Starts with the exact number of 0 soldiers... And not only that, my mp is... 4!

Also, in the beginning has the huge fleet to reach anything out of the island of.... 0 ships

Most of the European cots have got 100 and soem more ducats of shar,e but British has 295, couldn't i have my own Cot in Connaught?

All Central Europe is heavily populated, excepting Ireland, where most of the provinces are in the limit of being colonial provs. What cna be done with that crap minimal mp and the lesser income from provs that are my only income?

If we check the event files for Eire, you can see my only event is one wher ei get vasallized or bad DP slider settings.... and the other is a revolt after beign vasallized. Events won't help me, and converting the British islands will be a quite hard job really for Eire.

In case of fighting the British, with their uber leaders during HyW and uber leaders all along the game, i got jsut 1 leader, that lives for short and just improves the default in.... + 1 movement. I know random leaders are edited, but English will always have a lot better leaders.

Btw, since Hellas is Extremely Far, and other playuers jsut have to beat me in sea so that i can't arrive.... couldn't i have, sicne i'm so weak, early explorers and conquerors (yes, many, and most before 1492   ) to do something in america jsut to gain resorces enough to survive from England?

Did i say the 4 mp is with 5 quality and land sliders that i cna't keep for long if i wanna go out of my poor island?

Quite a suicide match, i say.... even by the time i conquered England (my only possible enemy, that can blockade me in my own island when they want) (and If I was able to conquer it isntead of dieing), all central Europe would be taken by other powers that got neighbours more powerful.

If you want someone to play as Eire in this game (and i wanna do it ;) ), Eire needs... lots of improvements.

I think most nations are challenged just to survive from gamestart, and will need edits to make them playable. You looked at Eire, but the others ain't much better. I mean, Mali anyone?

I talked with Elio, and we'll do what's necessary to make the nations playable. among other things we discussed, core set, leaderfile and monarchfile. I believe latin techgroup for everyone, perhaps a few slider changes, and a number of troops and ships to start with, plus a treasury.

As an Eire-specific, it probably would be a good idea to raise the population to 5000 everywhere. would solve a lot of issues too(manpower and income). We'll need to discuss what kind of power levels we want to start with.

Erhmm.... Eire's population is already 5000 in all the provinces, excepting Dublin and Belfast, where it has 10.000 To get mroe mp it'd need to be raised even more :(

I simply acknowledge in You a player with more experience than me.
Besides I don't want to concentrate many functions in 1 man (author, GM, editor, player).
So I'm glad to accept Your suggests and to consider You as the editor of the scenario.
I must pick as player and chose Novgorod: I already played it (defining an expansion strategy), even if it won't become Russia ...
Eventually the countries can be changed, mantaining the distance from Hellas prov and relative interested area with AI provs to conquer between players.

Hi Elio,
As you know, unfortunelly, I cant play on 19GMT at any weekday, as I am only available at home after 24 GMT on weekdays. Good Luck for your game anyway and if you need any help feel free to contact me.

I never had doubts about our friendship and am missing You as player. :(
I'm building roster and countries now with good players.
Surely the scenario You got will receive edits to improve competition and I trust in Temu's ideas.
You will informed by ICQ about the game and eventual remarkable situations; I'm not so expert and need an help (from outside the game) about the edits, like lawsuit consultants in the courts ;) .

Don't worry

As you saw, the roster isn't full yet.
I'm happy to see you in the game, because I knew you and invited you.
You should receive the scenario to decide about the pick,
other countries, possible edits before the start, ...
Surely in the session on 18 Feb you can be subbed by our friend Balinus.

Happy to see You in the game (minimal roster ready now :D ).
Download scenario fom my signature and test it for some years.
There are some days to decide edits to adapt it to the game.

The situation of roster is in the post #2:
Sir Dud and Red Wizard didn't pick yet

Pickable countries are till now:
Songhai,
Oman (if prefer Hedjaz, CoT in Mascate will surely be moved to Aden) .

I'll be waiting for these decisions.

Greetings, here's a rough list of what edits I'll be doing:
*Everyone gets a permanent monarch(7/7/7)
*Everyone gets a permanent monarch military leader(4/4/4)
*Everyone will have a core on the Hellas province
Those edits are to reflect the fact we're playing Titans :D

Province-wise:
*Everyone gets minimum base tax of 5 in its starting provinces
*Everyone gets a minimum MP value of 3 in its starting provinces
*Everyone gets a minimum population of 10000 in each provinces.
*Everyone will have a starting CoT. If none is there, one will be edited in, or moved from another spot.
These edits are made to put a minimum level on the playing field, so no one is crippled by its starting province's stats.

Nation-wise:
*Nations that start with less than 10 cores will have cores edited on neighboring provinces to bring the number to a minimum of 10.
*Everyone's starting army edited to 10000 infantry, 5000 cavalry.
*Everyone's starting fleet edited to 20 warships. Land-locked nations(Songhai, Timurids, Sibir) will instead be given an additional 15000 cavalry.
*Everyone's starting treasury will be edited up to 500 ducats.
*Everyone will get Land(1), Naval(1), Stability(3), Trade(1), Infra(1) to start with, as well as the latin techgroup.

Leader-wise:
*Everyone will get 2 conquistadors and explorers per century(or so, but nothing too early). Land-locked Sibir will instead be given 3 conquistadors each century.
*Everyone will get 40 random generals and 20 random admirals generated for the whole game. Landlocked Sibir will be given 50 generals instead.

On top of that, there will be nation-specific edits. Here is how I will do them. Overall, I evaluate the strenght of each countries and assign a number of points to a country, to spend as it wishes. Here's what I'm considering(I'll bring specifics later this week, when I've had some time to tackle a good system):

Goods: Nations whose starting provinces include crap goods like wool will be given bonus points. Nations who have gold, spices, chinaware will instead be given a penalty.

Tax: Nations who have very rich provinces will be given a penalty.

Religion: Catholic will be considered standard. Orthodox will have a light bonus, sunni a bonus slightly better, shiite, then hindu/buddhist/konfucian and finally pagan will have the best bonuses(precisely because they suck).

Historical events: Nations who have historical events geared towards them compared to others(Novgorod for becoming Russia, Timurids for becoming Mughals) will have points removed. Nations whose eventfile seems geared against them will receive a bonus.

Historical leaders: Again, nations who have a stacked leaderfile compared to others(Novgorod/Russia, Timurid/Mughals) will have less points to spare.

Geographic position: Those who have a poor geographic position compared to other nations may be given a bonus.

State cultures: Nations who have multiple cultures, particularly multiple good cultures, will have less points to spend.

Core set: Nations who have a particularly advantageous coreset will have less points to spend.

Sliders: Nations who have problematic sliders will probably get a bonus, and vice versa.

Once every nation is evaluated, they will be given a number of points to spend. These could be spent on things like slider changes, better monarch and leader stats, state cultures and core even, more leaders, etc...

That's it for now. More to come later when I actually have some time to start editing

Hi, i've looked into the scenario and I think it would be more logical to put the capital of Byzantium in Hellas. Because only 1 province to conquer can be easy i think (unless someone is playing it?).

We can scrap the name of Byzantium also to give more flavor to this little empire.

After a couple of years, does Byzantium get killed by the Ottomans?

Dear Temu, cut off the lines of picked nations from basic scenario.
I will control AI monarchs and leaders in these days. Before start I'll insert those lines in basic scenario.

CoT in Tago deleted to make comparable that one in Andalusia

Gaelic, Anglosaxon culture to Eire?
German, Baltic culture to Hannover?
Raise diplomatics rate in not christian nations?
