Ok this is going to sound weird but I was running a small map last night and I was trying to keep up with passenger numbers on my popular routes and it got a bit weird at one point as I knew I needed more buses on my number 16 route and although I had enough money to pay for more buses and space in the depot to put them in I couldn't buy more.

I was trying to buy more of the 22 seater double decker it's the white bus with the double doors.

I'm just wondering if there is actually a limit to the number of buses of a certain type you can buy before having to try and use another type?

Thanks for reading this one guys.

I could not find a limit to the number of identical buses on the same line.
Remember you don't need the depot when buying vehicles. You can buy them directly to the line itself. (See the green arrows between the vehicle window and the line window)
Here is an experiment I made: 224 Jubilee Blim on one line (I ran out of cash):

Thanks for helping me out on this one guys at least I now have a better idea of where I was going wrong trying to figure out why I couldn't get more of the same type of bus since if the one I needed was no longer being made it makes sense I couldn't buy more.

giladteller, That's a lot of buses there. know I once did that on one of the old Traffic Giant levels and in the end had the whole road network blocked in one area with the flood of the buses I had added to the route even though I was just experimenting and eventually brough the number down to a manageable level that gave a frequent service but didn't block the road.

Thanks for helping me out with this at least I know how to try and manage things now and run a good service. Although I still need to keep the bank happy and not let my debts get too high when buying in a decent sized bus fleet. :)
