Running EU2 off USB HDD

I was wondering if it violates the user agreement to run EU2 off my USB drive.

If not, is it even possible with the registry checks? Ie, I don't want to have to reinstall EU2 whenever I move computers (mainly between work, wife's work, and the various laptops and PCs about the house) - I just want to whack it on the HDD and take it where I go. The User agreement doesn't seem to cover anything like that...

If you are the only one who has a copy Personally I don't see a problem.

You would most likely have to manually edit the registry.

Licence-wise, it largely depends on where you live. In Europe, a lot of American style restriced EULA rules are illegal and thus void. In that case, normal EU legislation takes over, and that basically means that as long as you install it only once, and can only be active on one PC at any time, it shouldn't be a problem.

As for technically possible, it shouldn't cause any problems. Heck, I have run EU2 successfully over a mapped network drive on a remote PC without any problems.

Your only risk is that it will be somewhat slower when compared to a regular HDD, because of USB bandwith limitations.
