Will it be possible to convert to the the local culture of the majority population as in CK2? Like, Ptolemies going fully native, dropping their Greek culture altogether.

Is there such a thing as main culture as in EU IV or just the culture of the ruling dynasty as in CK2? I would like to see an alternative Rome going fully Hellenic very early by the virtue of heavy intermarriage with Greeks and I would like to know how easy will it be without possessing mostly Greek provinces.

It should be possible but no easy feat to pull off, in fact it should be more difficult than in CK2

Now here comes my armchair and amatheur theory to support, which I hope won't be rebutted in a unpolite manner.

To my understanding the universalist influence from the Roman, Persian and Arabic empires as well as the universalist religions of Christianity, Islam and Buddhism (as well as Manichaeanism and others) meant, again to my understanding, that the world had become significantly less tribal than it was at the time of Imperator, where I'm not even sure if Zoroastrianism had proberly developed into a universalist religion by that point or if it came later with the Sasanids, and only the Persian Empire had wielded a potentially universalist influence (I feel I know to little about the first Persian Empire to say either yes or no on this.)

Thus I've understood it like that socio-economic class and religion were the main considerations in the post-Roman medieval world while for in Imperator tribal, or civic if you like to call it that, was very much the thing going on and by which people divided themselves. And thus changing culture should be hard and create both a great deal of the resentment for the snubbed culture's population as well as a relatively long time period before the cultural converts were welcomed into the new culture as full members.

So I hope it will be double, but that it will be a little project on its own and not just point a button for an instant switch.
