Hi all.
Today we can start to choose rules, scenarios and time.
Time is the most important.
We will start not befor of 5 MAY.
In Italy we haven't problem with time, but we can only the evening.
All the days of the week are ok except saturday evening.
We will use the time of Rome, Berlin...
So tell me your problems of time

If we are going to do a tourney I think a short scenario with 2 v 2's starting 38 ending in 41 would be best, or even 38 to 42 with 6.

I agree that a 36 scen is not appropriate for this kind of game

than....
i write the team at the moment:
ITALY
URSS
USA
FRA
GER

But in Italy we are a lot and if is necessary, we can divide us in 2 or 3 team in cooperate.
So we could use other country. For example UK.
So probably there will be 6 country.
I think that with 6 country we could start in 36 o in 38.
Maybe we have to decide with precision the country to use.
But while we decide that, people tell me your disponibility for time.

For a long game it is very hard to organize 6 players to play consistently under the best cirumstances. The Greek guys used to organize competative games and ran into many problems with people not showing up. Many games ended because one team stopped showing up or one player could no longer make his commitment to the game.

There system as based on each team playing Axis once, and Allies once. If both sides won one game, the side that lasted the longest before annex became the winner. That kind of thing.

I think that if you are going to set up a competition it would be best to set up a "round robin" system, the kind used in international football most often. You start with several teams of 3 playing a pairs of "short games" from 38 going to 41, with specific victory conditions. The intitial games are 2 v 2 with the third player being "alternate sub". This way the first rounds are short, and if there is a problem with players the team should be able to have a substitute player available.

Each team would play each other twice per round, onces as Axis, once as Allies. Most preferable too would be having the host be a neutral country, not one of the players. Each pair of games would count as a match with a point being awarded for the match, not the individual games.

Only the final pair of games between the final contenders would be a pair of long 36 games with a full group of 6 players.

Hey cueball, I dont think that is what he had in mind. I thought he was looking for a "long game" "co-op" where people from each country play there countries in game. I could be wrong, but that is my understanding.

Start sometime between 17:00 and 19:00 CET and ending between 22:00 and 02:00 for me. :)

ok... usually in Italy start at 21 and ending at 23.
We could do: 20.30-23.30. Two times at week.
Starting before 20.30 it's a problem for us.

Geofactor do you play?
I understand nothing if people who doesen't play post...
