I'd first like to extend my thanks to the hard working modders. HIR has really rekindled my love for this already great game and the added scope and various features of this mod are delightful.

As for my question: Starting out as a lowly Thane in Jutland I have managed to form the Kingdom of Denmark and I would now like to go Catholic before I die for a whole slew of reasons but primarily so I can go Cathar somewhere down the line. The problem is I don't know how to do it. I conquered the Bishopric of Bremen and set up my own appointed Catholic in charge of the county and made him my Chancellor in hope of some events but nothing has happened. Additionally, I have a harem of poor Dutch and German Catholic concubines which I think used to give you an option to fire an event to convert, but again, I don't see anything.

The French king intermittently sends his Chaplain over to me but he only manages to convert random courtiers.

How DO you convert to another faith in this mod?

You figured out the main way for a pagan to convert.

Interesting note: you can also convert to attacker religions during holy wars to stop them dead in their tracks and convert yourself, family, and courtiers immediately.

The concubine events you're thinking of are actually your spouse: if she's of a different religion, she may try to persuade you to her faith. Sometimes you persuade her, alternately.

He's not wrong though, pagans can convert to the religion of a concubine through a decision.
