The way I see it, while that takes away the feeling of playing as a historical figure, I have been complaining for a while that the person of the ruler/leader is of very little relevance in game. The personality traits and monarch values do not give the feeling of a living breathing leader, so I think that is more in need than portraits, which is why imagination is for. Just my opinion.
