Oh wow, when this DLC was announced I thought to myself "blatant money grab, and a useless one at that". I don't understand the need for this DLC besides one point - editing the coat of arms. Oh, well at least I got a laugh from all of the rage on the forums.
Everything else you can already edit yourself, and it's EASY as PIE, for new games. (Savegames too, but longer file to go through and edit, and have to match names up)
Also, don't understand why DESIGNER is confused as EDITOR. It's for you to design new characters, not edit existing ones. The only legitimate complaint I see is the age bit. Perhaps they need to give character traits/education/points a balance, but do that without editing age. I can think of various ways to do that now.
I didn't get the DLC, as I've been playing with customized dynasties and characters since launch. Editing a text file doesn't require rocket science...
Now, if the designer was more comprehensive, and made everything easier so I could edit whatever I want with no limitations and thus was an EDITOR... then I might buy it.
Now if folks get this for MP reasons, to edit characters for mp games.. well then that I ... relatively understand. I've no idea how large the MP community is for this game.. I'd balance things out to say give Counts a higher amount of points they can place (and traits) without negative feedback, and then Dukes, and then Kings, and then Emperors. Simple... A brand new dynasty at the seat of an Empire.. well, unless your playing a modded game you're pretty much screwed by points. As you should be.
