As discussed in this thread, for some reason using the Ruler Designer on a Patrician causes this weird phenomena in game. When I go to arrange marriages, I cannot marry most women in the world. Sometimes, not even my own courtiers!
- Selecting my ruler first shows nobody in a court to marry, even if they are single women and I can afford the Bride Price.
- Selecting the woman first will not display myself in the list of people who can marry her, even when I am single. (Heirs and sons do show up, as well as courtiers)
Interestingly enough, at the beginning of the game in the 867 start, when I click the arrange marriage on my character's pane, the only eligible women are Irish women, or women in the court of my republic's patricians. Furthermore, after a few years, if my RD patrician needs a new wife, only noble women born after the start date show up in the list, in addition to the ones previously mentioned.
Others have reported that the normal default Patricians do have eligible women to marry, so I think it's something with custom Patricians specifically.
