How did I get this achievement?
I mean there was the religious war going on, and I had 6/7 electors voting for me(as England) for the HRE, then the Emperor of Austria dies, and it dismantled the empire automatically giving me this achievement, I didn't become emperor and I dind't even get the achievement Emperor new clothes.....how....what am I missing?

What was the state of the religious war? Were all the electors on the opposite side to the Austrian emperor? Only thing that pops to mind is that there were no "eligible" emperors (wrong religion, government type, etc) and there was no-one to inherit the throne when the emperor died (you maybe just happened to be top of the ineligible pile).

I imagine the achievement is unlocked by the Empire being dismantled, no matter by who.

I was.... ineligible.....well I just checked that and it says
ineligible(non-monarchy, female candidate before Pragmatic Sanction, not HRE religion or not independent, or you are the current emperor and have no heir)
I'm England, I have english monarchy, we may not have nobilty but we do have a king, and I made several royal marrieges.....Catholic.....I should be fine....what's wrong
Also, the war was pretty mixed, the catholic league had 3 electors and Austria and the protestant league the rest and wien was fine so they couldn't dismantle it by themself........I have 40 prestige and 5 diplomatic reputation....I don't really see nothing wrong

I just checked the HRE interface, when I pass the mouse over an elector who votes for me, it also says -1000 AUSTRIA is ineligible to become emperor(so...this makes no sense for me, they also have an heir...)........For me....maybe it's because I don't own any land of the HRE? I only thought this was a malus when getting voted and not a reason to cannot be voted at all

the emperor can't change during religious war, so if austria did'nt had eligible heir the HRE is dismantled at the emperor death

I'm not sure if that's true, cuz in my Kaffa game I've seen changing hand twice during the religious war. Austria -> France -> Burgundy.

I just....checked(again), and I have to say tha game pratically laughed at my attempts to become emperor, I had better relations with most of the electors, still Austria got re elected the same, then when I have most of the votes, here comes the religious war and OF COURSE their heir must be female so....better no hre at all than england on the thrones, right?

If the League War is happening, like the two sides are actively at war, then the Emperor can't change. Since Austria's heir was female and thus ineligible, if the war was happening, it would dismantle the empire, which gets you the achievement

But I agree that they should change the requirements. I remember getting the achievement in my first Africa run. Didn't even know what happened.
