I dont think you can avoid it but its not too difficult. Your starting divisions should be enough just have them in the african colonies ready to jump into the loyalist brazil territories and get some encirclements. you can also do a naval invasion in the north of the country to divide their troops.

Thanks - Good option then, yet It would be ideal were the birth of the union not bathed in blood and leaving rancor and loss from the civil strife.

Th e other paths seem much more direct in their effects.
