In this year of our Lord, 1430, the Duke of Normandie and His Royal Majesty the King of France have come to an agreement over the construction of a road from Normandie to Aquitaine.
I. The Duke of Normandie shall pay the full costs of construction for the road.
II. The road will be considered the sovereign lands of the Duke of Normandie. Therefore, it is his duty to see to the rule of law along the length of it.
III. The road shall be open to any people of France who wish to use it.
IV. Normandie shall bear the cost of constructing a trade house in the Trade City of Nantes.
V. Merchants from France are hearby exempt from the import duty on their wares. They shall be treated as if they and their wares are native to Normandie.
