He pulls out a quill and quickly alters the treaty.

The Agreement over the Vendee Road

In this year of our Lord, 1430, the Duke of Normandie and His Royal Majesty the King of France have come to an agreement over the construction of a road from Normandie to Aquitaine.

I. The Duke of Normandie shall pay the full costs of construction for the road.

II. The road will be considered the sovereign lands of the Duke of Normandie. Therefore, it is his duty to see to the rule of law along the length of it.

III. The road shall be open to any people of France who wish to use it.

IV. Normandie shall bear the cost of constructing a trade house in the Trade City of Nantes.

V. Merchants from France are hearby exempt from the import duty on their wares. They shall be treated as if they and their wares are native to Normandie.

Duke Charles ansewears:

"Ah, thats seems better your lordship. I am very happy that we could get this agreement and I hope that it is only a start of the relationship between Normandy and France!
So can we hope to have the pleasure of having you staying here in Grenoble lord Charles? It would dure make both me and the king to have such a noble man herwe in Grenoble.

Ah here comes his majesty!"

The king enters. You can see that he have been subered up, because his face it still wet and he walks a little better. Duke Charles fills him in on what has happened and then he takes a pen and signs the treaty.

He walks out accompanied by two of his servants and the lifeguard.

Lord Charles smiles graciously, and then says: "I appologize, your Majesty, but I must return to Rouen, for my duties are many there. However, I hope to return soon, for your Majesty's hospitality has been most generous."

With that, Lord Charles bows deeply, and then is dismissed. He and his men are soon on the road back to Rouen.

Just before Lord Charles lives a messenger arrives from Paris. The duke speaks:

WHAT??!!!!!
IS this true Lord Charles???? I have heared that your duke has crowned himself KING OF FRANCE!!!!!!

The last he jells and all the nobles in the court looks at the Norman while taking a grip on there swords and closes up to him...

A group of Pommern envoys arrive at the French Court, once proud and now encricled by Plantagenet threat and one step before total extinguishing.

Their leader steps ahead bows before the King and starts to speak.

"Your Royal Majesty, King of All France,

I am Janusz Rokosinki, well known investigator and Pommern chief of Internal affairs. Twice I helped the French crown during their dire straits. Once I lead the investigation concerning the disapperance of Joan of Arc, then I dicovered who really stood behind the attack on Queen Dowager.

Now I come again concerning my Lord, Joachim of the Greif, direct order. Should you accept you at your court I will serve with advice and help with all my abilities.

Too much had Norman Duke meddled in the affairs of the East, too much had he insulted House of the Greif, too much his lies and slander done bad to the Holy Roman Empire. Now he illegaly claims the title Your Majesty hold.

I am at your service."

He bows again.

He also hands a private letter to the French king.

Rumours reached my King about the madness of the the Duke of Normandy. As allways the title of being the King of France is, of course, yours to hold....”

With a smile on his face he then continues the discussion in private...

Louis of France, and all who follow him.

My greetings to you. I have heard that you have taken our loyal vassal Lord Charles Amcathra hostage. This is a great offense to me, and to the title which I hold. It is a great sadness to see a land fall into such unchivalrous behavior. I must ask that my vassal be returned to me intact at once, or there will be consequences.

Moreover, I must ask that you submit yourself to me, and recognize me as the one true King of France. If you should agree to this, then you will rule under me, possessing lands and titles. Should I be required to use force of arms to enforce my rights, and I cannot guarantee that there will be a place in France for a young Prince and his regent.

In any event, I ask you to come before me at Paris to pay homage for your lands. You should arrive no later than the end of August.

"Yes, I would be vey pleased to accept you here in my court. I do hope that you will help my nation just as you have done before."

We fear, however, that this may not stop some nations from trying. We desire to join you in an alliance, that you may stop any naval attacks prematurely, and We may send Our armies in your our of need.

A man looking on all the luxury surrounding him walks up to the King and delivers a letter.

"Dear King
My peasents are screaming after something else to drink than just whisky. I find that hard to understand myself, but I was chosen to help my people and bring Eire out of the dust, so I have finaly agreed to give my people something else to drink than the excellent Eirish whisky. It is not a surprise that I am therefor turning to you, to help me with my little problem.
I have the money, and I do think you have the wine.

The king looks at the treaty. Then he speaks with his advisors for some time, before he puts an other paragraf on the treaty and send it back to Cyprus to see if the new paragraf is accepted.

Lord Nikolai Popolous enters the French court. "Greetings to his royal majesty of France from his most royal majesty of Cyprus. I have just arrived from Cyprus with ambassadorial status. His majesty has accepted the new paragraph. I shall be retiring for a short time to refresh my self, and then I shall be ready to be shown my rooms. I haven't eaten since yesterday at noon."

The king speaks:

"Welcome to France Lord Popolous. I am very glad that your king accepted the treaty and I hope that you will enjoy your stay in France. I hear that you are hungry and that rimended me of that it is almost time to eat. I will hold a dinner in celebration of this treaty!"

With that the kings leds Lord Popolous into an other rom where the dinner is served.

Lord Popolous replied "If the country is still like it was when I last visited, when I was 8 years old, I will enjoy my stay immensely. Cyprian food is only rivaled by French food."

The king speaks:

"Yes, Lord Popolous the French food is sure very good and I think that you will enjoy it even more now that your last time. But now lets eat!"
