Okay, thre's a lot of people in real life who can't drive properly in a roundabout but still, I wonder a bit on how traffic is handled when you construct a roundabout. Veichles in it yield to crossing traffic, while it should be the other way around- vehicles entering the roundabout should yield to those already on the carousel. I suppose this is because the game practices a strict right of way (on right side driving) for traffic crossing from the right.
A way to fix this and at the same time add a bit of complexity to the traffic planning would be to be able to assign to a certain road right of way status. This could make our smaller throughways faster as well without the need to upgrade to four lane.

Doesn't it also depend on the type of road you construct the roundabout with? My understanding was a roundabout built using highways worked better for right of way.

In terms of adding a tool to assign right of way to individual roads/junctions, I think CO have said that it is too much micro-management and has too great an impact on performance. However there are mods like Traffic Manager: President Edition which add that extra level of granular control over the road system.
