If the AAR goes fine and the "smell" isn't strong enough I'm not going to complain.:p

this is pretty good generally, certainly a novel idea. i like the way you've explained the events ingame in different ways. though had hitler and co actually done anything before 1936 that warranted execution? i'm not necessarily saying you were wrong, just that execution seems to me more like wishful thinking with the advantage of hindsight.

Well, they did have the brownshirts&co did do shit like burn synagogues, "unsuitable" literature, incited people to turn on each other over religion, make them watch their neighbors, harrass minorities etc etc the list goes on. And the point is, that in a society dedicated to absolute freedom, that's worse than murder, it's like you make someone's lifeworthless by denying them the freedom to choose what the hell they want to read or pray to or whatever generally. So that's why. :p There's no death penalty in the German Empire anymore, except for the cases of something like this, and terrorism such as explained before with the Nazi loyalist terrorizing ordinary people and the example of the Soviet Spy who shot that little girl.

Btw, although Germany is now dedicated to peace and freedom, there is going to be a huge war later on, i havent exactly yet decided when, and why, but it's going to be well worth all this "pussy footin' around" and general huggybearness. :D

Jeez, that sounds an awful lot like what is going on now in many places around the world (including my country). I too agree with your solution... Let's hang em all and start over with Mom and Pop running the government, or at least some people with some sort of moral compass and lack of power hunger :)

I too am subscribed and checking for updates. I love scouring the AARs looking for new ways to play my game.

P.S. My comment really isn't intended to be OT or start a discussion. It is a simple matter of fact. I live in the USA btw...

Wilhelm was having another quiet evening, when a message came through below the door.
When he read the message, he almost had a heart attack. The message said.

"Kaiser, this is your loyal servant, you dont know me, but i have urgent news that concern the well-being of you, and the reich. The Nazis, which you thought you had defeated 3 years ago, are trying to make a move on you and the throne. You must leave Berlin immediately and go to Hamburg, they have no supporters there, but you have. Make sure you mobilize the army and tell them that the Nazis are going to try and take over all communications and control of the reich tomorrow night at 6 AM by simultaneously striking at most radio and other broadcasting centers around the Reich. They will then attempt to assert their power by making a deal with the Soviets in which Poland would be partitioned between us, and them, and the baltics including Finland would go to Soviets. My Kaiser, the fate of the world peace is in your hands, and you must act now, or everything you have worked for for the last 3 years will have been a waste."

When Wilhelm had finished reading the note, a phone rang in his desk.

"My Kaiser, this is the chief of intelligence speaking, we have word of a possible coup attempt by the nazis still living within the reich, and we have reason to belive that they will strike sometime tomorrow and try to assassinate you, the governmental cabinet and other high ranking politicians..."

"Yes i know, someone slipped a note under the door of my office. They will strike tomorrow night at 6am, and they will target me, the government and they will also attempt to take control of the radio broadcasting centers around the entire reich, so make sure you sent soldiers to guard those places, but make sure you do it quietly, so nobody knows what's happening. I want those bastards captured alive if possible, but i want them all!

The note urged that i should go to Hamburg, that the Nazis have no supporters there, can you verify this?"

"Yes Kaiser, the people of Hamburg are your most loyal supporters, they drove out all the nazi sympathizers from that town a few months ago. We will send a division to escort you there."

The Kaiser felt uneasy. He almost regretted that he had let some of the nazis off with a mere deportation. The nazi elements in Germany could not have gotten this kind of support without foreign help, and Wilhelm was sure these deportees had their hands in it.

The nazi ideology in germany had to be crushed for good.

Nope.

Guard: Ausvais, papriren.
Me: Look I've got this note for the Kaiser, and I'm totally not an Nazi supporter.
Guard: If it's a note why is it in a box, and why is the box ticking.
Me: Errr... Ah yes I am afraid of this note falling in wrong hands, so I've rigged 10kg of high explosives to it using a clock.
Guard: Good. We don't want such notes falling in enemy hands, go on.

By first ordering the handbook "Raising the demons and Nazis from the death" by Demon Hitler, over that site Styx.com for just your soul...

ahhh. You mean... Ah yes...

I suppose it is possible by editing save game. Open older one where they aren't dead. Find them you can search I think by name. Copy their part of savegame into your current one in corresponding section. Don't forget to first backup.
And in the case of natural death, you might need to move their death year. Also possible from save game, I think.

Hey a quick question... I need to completely remove everything even closely related to HoI2 from my computer and then make a fresh installation, prolly cos i have several different mods in the same place... Anyway, will my savegames work in the fresh installation? I've got that CCIP mod on my Armageddon, which i'm using for instance when i play this AAR. The game has started bitching about the Xian incident event, but it always works anyway, and wont crash the game..

But yeah, i was wondering, since this AAR has savegame with CCIP mod properties, will it work on the fresh installation?

You could just rename your current HoI folder and use the repair function in the install, so it will make you a new fresh HoI folder. As for the save, I guess it should work, if you have the same mod(s) active and the game version is the same. But if you use a mod save on the fresh installation (no mods), the save game will surely have some kind of problems, if it even works...

So what i'm doing now, is building up navy, lots of it, and starting on the expansion of airforce and land troops. I only built 60 divisions for now, but they are just for keeping the borders anyway.

Kriegsmarine is coming on nicely, with just carriers and battleships still remaining in production.
My Baltic fleet will be 2 light carriers, 3 sup heavy BB and a kreuzerg swarm.I'm still thinking about how i'm going to deal with the road to war tho...

My current plan is to have an "imaginary" evil zombie outbreak in France, that would be "dealt with" as it were, but i donno if i should declare on them, or if they should declare on me. And what about Britain. Because they have that damned alliance. :/
Oh, maybe Britain could go "Blimey, we have to help those French although they are evil zombies and would eat us next anyway, but since this AAR no longer makes sense anyway, what the hell..."

Any ideas?

Maybe i'll make this a "RequestAAR" and you guys can send me your ideas, and i'll pick the ones that suck the least. Nah, j/k your ideas dont suck. So... Ideas? :p
