I'm going to take this chance to do something different from what i usually do. That being starting huge amounts of AARs and never finishing one. If you dont count my last one that i finished when Germany finished me... 3 times...

So this time, i might not even play the same country for the whole AAR, i might change allegiance just like that, or start a war using another country and then go opportunist and pick off the birds i like when opportunity presents itself.

By the way, i'll start off with Germany, but i'm not allowed to attack outside my own initial/event given boundaries before i have all infantry and armor at max level of development.

Time to dig in.

First order of business, is to research only the vital technologies, meaning researching everything! And building up IC, rocket test sites and land forts until i have a good lvl 10 forts covering the entire national border, lvl 5 at seaside. Also, no less than 500 IC needs to be accumulated within the reich to be able to build and sustain our glorioius expansionism and righteous cause.

The buildup phase will be massive, and will need every sacrifice of the honest and industrious German folk. The future of the fatherland depends on you! Do your part, enlist for the workers' army, and build a safer germany!

Second phase of the buildup phase will consist on building nuclear reactors to power our future metropolitans and a massive navy to counter any schweinhund schwimmer boot navy that would challenge our sovereign right to supremacy.

first however, we must get rid of those Nazi fools. They and their belligerence will be the doom of us all if we do not act immediately! Those schweinhunds will pay for their hostility towards our own minority groups, and they shall be punished swiftly, publicly, and permanently!

The first part of our glorious industrial rebirth has begun, and we are now building fortifications to the french border to keep out those cheese chewing schweinhunds, and rocket test facilities to kickstart our planned expansion into space and beyond. Our scientists have theorized for years that the resources in space should be appropriately considered to be potentially astronomical, and we must beat the low life of earth in our race for an offworld resource production.

f_productionm_388d900.png

We have just been informed, that the Nazis have been crushed, and our glorious leader Wilhelm II has been reinstated to his rightful position as the guide of our future. From his palace, he has published this speech to encourage our brave workers and cast new faith unlike anything ever before seen.

f_cabinetm_2e20e08.png

"Brave workers of the reich! I salute you. You have removed the cancer that is national socialism from our great nation, and have begun to work towards a new brighter future. A future, where our children can live free, no matter the colour of skin, faith, or political wievs they hold. A future, where fear of war no longer exist! A future, where all the people of the world are under the wing of a single leader. One nation, one leader. Peace through equal rights and mutual respect. Indeed we will lead the world to a bright future where everyone is free to express themselves freely. Thank you all, you have saved the world today. Gott mitt uns!"

Btw, if i get defeated, i must change to that nation, and declare war on everyone else, and if i get defeated on that aswell, i must play on the one that will annex me, and again, declare war on everyone and so on...

lvl 10 forts covering the entire national border, lvl 5 at seaside.
You mean lvl 5 coastal forts? They protect against landings, land forts are good for only land attacks. ;)

But this is cool anyway. A democratic and a scientific Germany is a bit different from the usual AARs. Hopefully the Soviets won't get you in -42 or -43 though... Yay, 1st post! :D

Today, the Kaiser has announced the formation of a new organization dedicated to the youth's introduction into a productive citizenship.

This new organization will be called AFJ "Die Arbeitsorganisation der freiwilligen Jugend" or "Voluntary youth's work organization"

It will teach youth from ages 10 - 21 the basics and later more advanced things they can do voluntarily outside of their work to improve our society.
The youngest will be working with the eldrly, helping them with their every day lives, and at a later age, they will participate with the police in traffic control, disaster management and other critical areas of police operation to relieve the hugely understaffed Police to do other more dangerous work for which they have recieved their training.

Already experts and leaders from other european countries and around the world are commending our Kaiser for his vision and wisdom.

May 12. 1937, roughly year and 2 months had passed since the Nazi influences were ousted from every level of the German government. There were still some groups that were loyal to the Facist cause, but they were inevitably dying out. Starved by the fact that everyone was for the first time in a long time building a better and stronger Germany than the one that the Facist brought up from the post world war 1 depression.

Another milestone was reached when the German chancellery unanimously voted to present a proposal for the governments of Italy and Japan about co-operation in containing the spread of communism and systematically hunt down and arrest communist agitators sent directly from the Soviet Union to destabilize western governments and sow the seeds of fear into the minds of ordinary hard working people, so that they might more easily be turned to followers of communism.

No that could not be allowed! It must stop here and now. The Kaiser himself said, that even if Germany alone stood against the communist monster, they would not allow harm to come to their people.

After delivering messages to both the Japanese and Italian consulates, a meeting with the representatives of each government was chosen to be held in the Reichstadt, and in there the treaty was signed, with the addition that if Soviet Union was to try and expand it's influence, that all three nations would immediately isolate it in terms of trade. As oil was plentiful in the middle east, and the British government was warming up towards Germany again, it was clear that pissing off a few hundred million soviets was going to be a non-issue.

The Kaiser was extremely pleased, and had the best sleep in months the following night.

June, 1937. The office of Kaiser Wilhelm.

The old emperor of Germany was sitting in his office reading documents of recent communist activities reported in the brief that was handed to him.
He was especially concentrated on the article which told the story of a lone Soviet agent that had attempted to sabotage a domestic appliance factory in the Ruhr area. It turned out that children playing in a nearby farm had spotted a suspicious man by the fence looking at the factory entrance and fence with binoculars and taking notes. They told his father which called the local police that came by and arrested the man after a brief firefight. The family however paid a heavy price, as one of the children was hit by a stray bullet from the spy's pistol and had died later in the local hospital.
The spy now faces a public hanging at the central square of the town in question.

An aide knocked on the door, walked in and stood in front of the Kaiser's desk at attention until Wilhelm put down the brief on the desk and asked what the aide had in mind.

The aide right away told the Kaiser that Japan had invaded china, in the pretence that they claimed the chinese to be holding a Japanese soldier in custody at a border town, but other news had come in along with the attack news about atrocities being committed against ordinary chinese civilians.

The kaiser sighed loudly and stood up. He walked to the window while wondering aloud if this madness would ever end. He had seen this exact same situation 23 years earlier, and it had lead to the greatest war mankind had ever seen, and the total humiliation and collapse of the Ottoman and Habsburg empires, aswell as the disgrace the German people themselves had to endure the years following it.

"No this cannot come to pass, not again, not while i'm alive. I will not stand this.
Karl, take note. I want you to contact my internal affairs secretary and have him contact the ministry of interior and our foreign minister and set up a meeting with the British and the French to discuss this situation. Tell him to have Ludwig Kastl to tell the british ambassador that we are willing and able to send whatever warships we can spare to go as an escort for british ships monitoring the situation, if the British decide to send them.

Also, get me Ludwig Fulda, i have urgent business concerning the navy. Set up a meeting at around 5 this afternoon and make sure the chancellors are also present."

"Anything else sir?"

"No that will be all. After you have done what i have asked, you may take the rest of the day off. Spend it with your family, i fear that those moments with our loved ones may be limited in the months to come."

Reichstag 5pm. that same day.

"So gentlemen i assume you already know why i have summoned all of you here on such short notice.

*A few heads nodded in the audience.*

A few days ago, Empire of Japan launched a full military invasion deep into the Chinese territory. They were claiming at the time that one of their soldiers had gone astray, and was captured and held at a nearby town. Wether that is true or not, is inconsequential, since the Japanese advance has not stopped, but is in fact picking up speed and moving deeper and deeper inland. We estimate that with this speed, this invasion will reach Beijing in mere days, and who knows how far a few days after that.
I wonder now, if we were too quick to trust these Japanese as their motives seem to be purely imperialistic after all.

I have sent an official protest to Tokyo saying that we shall not have anything to do with the cold blooded murderers of thousands of poor unarmed civilians. I have also had a message sent to the leaders of both France and Britain saying that the Kriegsmarine is at their service as escort in the chinese waters if they decide to send ships there to monitor the situation. I have also mobilized our red cross, and they will be sent to Nanjing within 10 days with supplies medicine and temporary housing tents for the refugees flowing in from the north and south of china where the Japanese have also landed.

Ludwig, i wanted to also talk to you about the state of our navy. I understand it hasn't been the same after the end of the world war, but something must be done and it must be done now."

Fulda replied quickly.

"Yes Kaiser, i have already thought of this, and with your and the councilors' permission i would like to order a new fleet of ships to be built. This fleet would not be the answer for every one of our problems in the seas, but rather an insurance that we have something with which to protect our coastline if something were to happend. The fleet would consist of 12 of our Hipper class heavy cruisers, 5 Scharnhorst class battlecruisers, 5 of our newest Bismarck class battleships, 5 Nürnberg class light cruisers, and three Graf Zeppelin class carriers.
I belive that the carrier will be a ship of the future, and we will need them as much as any other seafaring nation. Especially if we wish to be taken seriously again as one."

"Very good mr. Fulda, i'm pleased that you are showing that initiative. That's why i hired you. Very well, Kriegsmarine shall have these new ships. Ludwig, once the various other tasks in our factories are finished, instruct them to change production to the various necessary ship parts that will be needed for the new fleet. Also, tell the industrial leaders to increase their industrial output to the maximum sustainable level, and give pay raises to the workers. They have been exeptionally hard working and they deserve to be rewarded for all they have done for the reich.

Ok, i belive this meeting is over, so will all of you think about ways we might be able to calm the chrisis down, and phone me in my office if you come up with something. Or send a memo if you are busy with other duties. I do not wish to impede your work in any way. It has been exemplary."

The meeting ended in small round of applauds, and afterwards, each member of the cabinet returned home after an intense day at the office.

January 1938, Berlin. Kaiser Wilhelm's diary.

The waning influence of the nazis raises an interesting new trend. Those still loyal to Hitler's 3-year regime are making wild accusations in the public media about the current governmental and military leaders. For instance, just a couple of days ago some old Nazi sympathizers tried to forge facts into looking that Werner von Blomberg's future wife had.... less than reputable past. Ofcourse, we categorically denied this, as nothing more than the nazi sympathizers trying to stir up some shit when they have no more power in the governmental or even local levels.

The things in far east are getting pretty wild now, the refugees from Japanese occupied territory bring news of horrible atrocities towards the poverty stricken civilian population and mass executions of prisoners of war. It is said even that the entire city of Beijiing could be surrounded with a wall made of the dead and still be 5 metres high. If this is true, then things are really out of control, and the Japanese are beyond barbaric. i have made a terrible error to even consider them as worthy trading partners or even possible friends. There can be no dealings with a nation that murders millions of innocent and defenseless farmers and other poor people.
I have already ordered all trade to be halted to japan, and have talked to other foreign ambassadors to try and convince them to do the same.

The Japanese advance must be halted soon, in any way possible, or i fear that no Chinese will be spared from the horrors of a Japanese occupation.

January 15. 1938, Berlin.

A news report from the radio was just about to announce the outcome of the Facist trials.

My fellow citizens, today at 8 am, a sentence was read out to the major facist leaders of the previous Nazi government, and we have just been given a list of these sentences. I will now read this to you.

For his crimes against our minority ethnic and religious groups, the dark skinned, Jews and Gypsies, the instigator of these atrocities, Adolf Hitler has been sentenced to death by hanging.

For their crucial aid in the rise of power of Adolf Hitler, the following persons have been sentenced to life imprisonment without the chance of ever being released.
Rudolf Hess
Herman Göring
Martin Bormann
Joseph Goebbels
and Wilhelm Frick
Heinrich Himmler

For their crimes against the german people, and aid in Hitler's rise to power, the following persons have been sentenced to deportation into Italy.
Karl Dönitz
Alfred rosenberg
Arthur Seyss-Inquart
Johan Schwerin von Krosigk
Hjalmar Schacht
Friedrich Flick
Walter Funk
Walter Darré
Kurt Daluege
Max Amann
Frantz Xavier-Schwarz
Viktor Lutze
Heinrich Müller
Karl Hanke
Hans-Georg von Friedeburg
Ernst Kaltenbrunner
Alfred Jodl
Fritz Beyerlein
and Kurt Zeitzler

The rest of the defendants were aquitted for lack of evidence, but were permanently removed from their positions of power within the military and government without the chance of returning to military or Politics for a period of no less than 30 years.

The Kaiser had this short speech to give on the end of the trials.

"My dear people. Atlast a time has come, when evil is punished atleast in small part for their actions against among other things our own citizens. Things like these cannot be tolerated in our beloved fatherland, and today we have sent that message to the entire world to watch.

Even some of the defendants themselves have shown remorse for what they have done, and their sentences may be diminished at a later date, but the most surprising thing that i have noticed, is that some of the aquitted still wish to stay and work in the areas of their expertise, such as Karl Dönitz. I have granted these few a pardon if they were facing deportation, and am allowing them to continue working with their professions, developing new technologies and strategies for our armies and other defensive associations, but they will still not be permitted control over them.

My dear citizens, today we should all celebrate and remember why Germany is the best place in the world to live right now."

August 4. 1938, Kaiser's office.

Aide knocks on the door and steps in. He again patiently awaits his que to speak as Wilhelm finishes up with his notes.
When the aide starts on his report he uneasily tells the Kaiser about the war that has just broken out between the armies of Czechoslovakia and Hungary.

The Kaiser looks troubled and asks what started the conflict.

"We do not know the specifics yet, but it seems that facist instigators from Hungarian side snuck into a Czech armory, stole some heavy cannons and fired them to the hungarian side into a small border town. There are reportedly dozens of casualties, and before anyone could act a full blown war broke out. It will be very difficult to get them to stop now mein Kaiser."

"Well, this is just what we needed." The old emperor replied. "Do we have anything we could use to calm these two sides down?"

"I'm afraid we dont have very much to go on sir.. The foreign ministry belives they can get the French and the British along to apply diplomatic pressure to try and get these two to come to the same table and talk it out, but if i may be so bold as to say that those 2 will only stop when the other one is beaten."

"Well, i agree with you, but we must do something. I had no idea that the facist elements in the Hungarian government were that strong to attempt something like this, since i belive that those instigators were given their orders from the highest levels of their government. It seems that they want to restore some of their pre world war prestige by expanding their empire, but i fear that they went too fast and too early, i fear that this chrisis will only prolong as time passes on."

Only two days later, the Italians, under Mussolini's Facist rule declared war on the Czechs, and the chrisis deepened. The Kaiser wondered if the Balkans were going to drag the world into another world war.

The chrisis deepens.

f_politawarm_3258ca3.png

By September, the Czech forces had clearly gained upper hand, and were now on the offensive, and pushing deep into Hungarian territory.
However, the German majority population in Sudetenland was growing tired of the war, and in September 30. they unilaterally declared themselves independent from the rest of Czechoslovakia. They then sought agreement with Germany which would make Sudetenland part of the greater German reich in exchange for seats in the german government and decision making process. The Reichstag unanimously approved this treaty, and in October 1. Sudetenland was officially German territory, later ratified and approved by Britain in the treaty of Munich.

January 26. 1939 brought with it the news of the collapse of the Chinese republic, as the Japanese armies had captured their last armies near the Himalayan mountains. Kaiser wilhelm's fears of a very powerful and belligerent Japan had come true, as Japan seemed undefeatable in the region now.

March 14. 1939. The balcony of the Reichstad.

Kaiser Wilhelm is about to make a speech about the solution of the balcans chrisis.

"My dear citizens, today we have won a major diplomatic victory, and a victory for peace. As the war in the balcans came to a close few days ago, peace keepers from Britain, France and our Fatherland were sent to the Czech and Hungarian zones to oversee the dismantling of their armies of war, and to bring new order to their people. The Reichswehr is going to be helping the Hungarians and Czechs to rebuild as they have written an agreement with us that states, that in return for joining our rising empire of world peace, they will be granted equal voice in the government and their right to govern their own territories will not be tampered with. However, the Slovak people wish to remain independent for the time being, and we have no intention to force them to join, so they will be independent now, but they have agreed to enter a state of mutual protection with us, and our troops will help them keep an eye on their borders until such time as they have raised their own security force for this purpose.
I wish to thank the governments of Great Britain and France especially for helping to make this happen. Their peace keepers will remain for no less than two years to oversee and guarantee the independence of the Slovak people and the storage of the old Czech and Hungarian weaponry.

Also, the Government of France has acknowleged our dedication to peace, and in accordance of a new treaty of mutual assistance and co-operation, they have returned our lost territories in Lorraine-Alsace. The treaty of Versailles in it's entirety is now null and void."

The crowd erupted into a sea of cheers and from this day on, the new German Empire would be known to all for it's dedication to peace and mutual understanding.

Wow, the French are really generous, IRL they would never do that. :D So this is a bit different, Germany is now a peacekeeper superpower. :D
