Some time ago I read something about an event that would enable me to place the capital of the roman empire in Rome instead of Constantinople, what happened to that(Im well aware that I can just move the capital but I read somewhere that it was coded as an event as well)?

The event exists if another lord owns Rome, but they are your vassal. Basically it boots them out, gives the county to you, then changes your capitol to Rome.

Push comes to shove, you can move your court any time you wish, though your vassals don't like it and you can only do so once per reign IIRC. A special event/decision in this case would be nice, as it would be a very big deal, but Emperor Fabulous II can pack his bags and move to Rome just as soon as it's in his demense.

It’s a decision in realms_decisions.txt. If I understand correctly, the requirements for it are: you must be the Roman Empire, and any ruler in the Roman Empire, including yourself, must own both the county of Roma and the barony of Tivoli.

Apropos of nothing, the Holy Roman Empire and Latin Empire should probably be allowed to become the Roman Empire and end the schism too.
