My first AAR! I have been a lurker over here for a while. Let me get down to my initial ideas.


The White Army wins the civil war in Russia. How so?

With the recognition of Finland, Baltic States, and Poland being indipendant for the extchange of helping to fight the Red Army.

Mongola will not be a puppet of Russia due to the revolution was costly and they decided to just let to go but Mongola will probobly be a goal to have as a puppet once again.

Tannu Tuva does not exist, the Soviets granted them indipendance during the revolution in real life.

Romania will still have the region they recieved after WW1 when Russia went communinst in real life, why? Because Russia in my world just let them take it because they were more worried about the civil war going on.

I will be giving "Russia" the soviet general list based on that Russia does not get half of what the Soviet Union does with generals.

I need your help in the begining stages though.



Should Russia be democratic(Social Conservative), Paternal Autocrat or Fascist?

Should I start in 1936 or 1938?


I am planning on possible events where Russia wants to rebuild her empire and betray her old deals with Poland, Baltics, Finland, and other nations. So I could have deals with the Nazis such has a Molotov Ribbentrop type pact and Winter War. Possibly even a Russian National Socialist Coup(an optional event I could turn down though)?

I'm running the latest Doomsday version.

What other ideas do you have to shape the future of my AAR and other advice?

I agree with you, most of me wants this but a small side of me thinks their might of been some democratic reform for the people.

If Imperial Russia survived, they probably reformed in the 20s, but during the depression authoritarian ideas would probably have resurfaced. Paternal Autocrat sounds good to me.

Go Fascist. Russia's economy would have been bad even by the standards of the day, so in light of the weak democratic traditions, radicalism would have been nearly unavoidable given the climate of the 30s.

Well I was thinking I could safely go Fascist because the monarchy is still in power, just with a different Monarch. I would edit a Social Conservative monarch(Probobly the same monarch as the Paternal Autocrat one).

I was thinking of custom events that side you with Germany. Maybe if you do side with Germany you can go Fascist and get cores on different countries(Finland, Poland, Baltics, etc) or if you are more of a good guy you can side with the Allies or just go alone and that will retain your Paternal Autocrat or turn you Social Conservative.

I think Paternal Autocrat to start. Maybe on the borderline so you can adjust it with small slider shifts or events as you see things developing.

I would like this to be an AAR where your advice counts. I will start working on events today after homework. I am also thinking about lowering Russia's total IC just because the Soviets were the ones who buit all the factories, I will take into play maybe industrialization programs created by the Russian gov but I dont think those would of been as effective to the basicly slave labor by the communists.

Assuming you have the monarchy, I'd say go PA, judging by what the monarchy was like before 1917

You could also plausibly go something like SD if you want to have Kerensky, but I'm guessing that you want to be closer to the Axis

Also, for generals you could go to the Manchukuo an the Chinese warlord files and pick out all the Russian-sounding names... they're probably mostly Whites... although that will leave Xibei San Ma with like seven leaders... but screw them

Well I didn't get a chance to edit the files but that does not mean I am scrapping the project! Not at all!

Russia's "Fascist" governemnt still has a king, but a different one. They also have another fellow as head of gov. I should do more research on them so my AAR will be better.

Actually probobly not as soon as I would like to. You can all pretty much forget about this for now. I have been getting a lot of homework and I am pretty sick so I am very tired.

I don't think that it really matters, PA or Fascist. I just don't think democracy would have sprouted up that much, and the slider shouldn't be more than 5 or 6, in my opinion.

Can't wait for commencement, either.
