Ok, I think im finnaly gonna start my own AAR. Ill continue the American/Japan one my bro and I are doing. But with this one I will be able to slow it down and take screenshots, write some story, etc.
Ill continue the other one tacticaly though.

Im gonna be playing against normal/normal comuters.
1936
And I will be playing as an edited Romania.
They are Left Wing Radicals. And I will be giving an explanation why. However, im not going to be doing a lot ofo historical research on Romania. So if something is incorrect, feel free to correct me, but dont flame :p
------------------------------------------------------------------------

During 1932. The Soviets finnaly decided on the invasion of the long desired Balkans. Romania, being the first defence, fell quickly.
The rest of the Balkan countries followed suit. With Greece being the last, managing to hold its own against frequent Russian attacks.

However, in 1934, partisan activities in the Balkans finnaly reached a peak. And the Russians decided to pull out of Bulgaria and Yugoslavia. Hoping to be able to keep what was formerly Romania.

On March 4th, 1934, Romanian partisans managed to assassinate 2/4 Russian generals in charge of the Romanian operations. As well as storm a Russian HQ, capturing documents regarding Russian "Disposal" of unruly Romanian citizens. As well as other acts elsewhere in the Balkans.

Threatened with exposure to an already angry Europe, the Russians agreed over a secret negotiation meeting to withdraw from the Balkans all together.
However, the Russians where unwilling to give up Romania, and decided on another action the rest of Europe could live with.

September 26th,1934, at 11 PM, Romanian government officials where rounded up by NKVD and murdered. A new government was set up from the Romanian Communist party. And the Russian army withdrew shortly after.

It was no secret what happened, everybody knew what the Russians had done, however, as long as the fighting was over, most countries where willing to let it go.

Over the next year however, as the new Romanian government began to uncover evidence of the horrible actions commited against their people during the Russian occupation, they began to drift from their allies. And on November 1st, 1935, they finnaly declared they would have no connections to the USSR. And although they where still widely viewed as a Communist regime, they slowly began to drift away from that...

On the last one, I tried about 8 times to get the images to appear.
Somebody told me how already, and I read the website FAQ, but when I do it, I get that. Even if there is no URL tags it puts them in automaticaly.
Ive been uploading them to Image Shack, so if somebody could explain how that would be cool... but anyways... on with the story...
------------------------------------------------------------------------
At the beginning of 1936, Romania as a country was already back on its feet. Making a quick recovery from the Russian atrocities before. It also had the strongest military arm in the Balkans.

However, its largest problems where the large ammount of agriculture and industry destroyed during the rioting and fighting during the past few years. And a majority of its greater minds where working on new ways to boost the economy faster.

ResearchJan1936.gif

They also had further military training continuing. Planning to bring in a new infantry corps of 3 divisions, as well as a brigade of armored cars.

On the politican side, things where returning quickly to how they where before the Russian invasion. And the rest of the world cared little for what happened in the Balkans. This was good for Romania, because although they wanted little to do with the USSR. They had adapted their goals....

I was using JPGs but in the FAQ for it, they show an example using GIFs, so I gave it a try.

February 2, 8:15 AM...
Romanian War Room

Head of State Constantine Parhon - Is a conquest of the Balkans possible?

Chief of Staff Victor Antonescu - Well... theoreticaly, but thats assuming no larger countries intervene. We cannot be guarenteed that other countries will sit out and watch. However, yes, I believe its possible. What is the status on our army?

Chief of Army Marin Ceausu - The infantry is more or less combat ready.
However the Cavalry is still fairly small in terms of manpower. But im confident we could at least begin, perhaps with Bulgaria and Hugary.

Head of State Constantine Parhon - What about supplies?

Chief of Staff Victor Antonescu - We are recieving supplies from Italy in return for our excess oil.

Head of State Constantine Parhon - Good, how soon can we be ready to invade Bulgaria?

Chief of Staff Victor Antonescu - February 6th would be the soonest.

Head of State Constantine Parhon - Good. Draw up plans for the attack, you have until the 7th to be ready.

Thats interesting. It works perfect with Photobucket, but not with Imageshack... anyways, thanks for the help :p

As for the next update. its gonna be a little bit. Like tomorow. I had it all typed out for about half the war with Bulgaria, but the stupid AIs ruined it all.
Im gonna have to go into the game file and cancel all their guarentee independance things.

I declared war on Bulgaria
Germany declared war on me
Yugoslavia and Greece declared war on Germany
Russia declared war on me
Italy, Yugoslavia, and Greece declared war on Russia
Turkey declared war on Tanu Nova

And I had a big mess :p

Heh yeah, our Generals arent to bright :p

But in all actuality. Its either that, or wait until summer. And I wanna get started right away. Sure it might take longer for each attack, but we have enough men to do it. So im not to concerned. And Bulgaria is such a small country, it isnt like I need a whole lot of time for conquest. As well, although you cant see it, I have my mountain troops ready for the hardest fighting. And Cavalry ready to swing around behind them.

I had already won half the war but I decided to scrap that because of all the other people who went to war on my behalf lol. Ive already fixed all of them I think, so tomorow or later on tonight ill continue the next part.

But mostly, I just need some fast IC to start with. So that I can get along with some more men and upgrades. I may try and go for a world conquest, or just kinda see where things go.

:p

Ok, next part. And hopefuly the dumb AIs wont screw things up this time lol. I canceled all their independance guarentees manualy. Its kinda dumb, but they got trade agreements in 2 places. Non agreession is in one place, and guarentee independance is with each country. Very disorganized...

Ok...

Diary of Yousseff Matts
Divizie 12 Infanterie, 7th Infantry Corps
February 7, 1936... 7 AM

We have been assigned to sieze the Bulgarian port of Varna.
We will be accompanied by the 1st and 2nd Cavalry corps.
You know... its been over 2 years since I was in a battle, and I have to say, im a little nervous...

February 17th, 1936... 6 AM

The fighting for Varna was particularly tough. It was only afterwards we learned we faced the strongest resistance from the Bulgarian forces.
Although theres still some light fighting going on elsewhere, Varna is more or less secured. And we have been ordered on into Plovdiv. If we can take it. The entire Bulgarian army will be threatened to be enveloped...

February 21st, 1936...

Plovdiv was better defended than we thought. After 4 days of fighting, we where forced to retreat. Im not sure what time it is, but probly shortly after midnight, and currently, we have fallen back behind a defensive line set up by our comrades...

Plovdiv.jpg

February 22nd, 1936... 7 AM

We have been busy all morning since about 4. Reorganizing for another attack. The funny thing is, this is the same kind of war im used to... yet, every time I go through it, it never seems to get any better.

February 28th, 1936... 6 AM

We have heard the Bulgarian forces in Sofia, the Bulgarian capitol, are in full retreat. It seems they are doing better over there than we are here. We have tried and failed 3 times now to break through the Bulgarian lines in Plovdiv. Yesterday I saved a young boys life, I think our soldiers are comming into these wars to green... but anyways, we are getting ready to attack again this morning. And we have been told that forces from Pleven will be attempting to flank the Bulgarian troops. So hopefuly this will be the one to get them.

March 3rd, 1936... 9 PM

We have finnaly captured Plovdiv. And have found bodies with markings from over 4 Bulgarian divisions on them. But despite our setbacks, morale is high, and many of the soldiers believe we will have full victory over Bulgaria in the first half of this month.

March 6th, 1936... 7 AM

We learned the Bulgarian Capitol, Sofia, fell to Romanian mountain soldiers today. This is very good news. Hopefuly Bulgaria will be forced to sign annexation papers within the week.

(Romanian soldiers fighting in the area around Sofia)
RomanianTroops.jpg

March 7th, 1936... 3 PM

The Bulgarian government has finnaly signed the annexation papers. And the great country of Romania is now at least a little bigger than before.

Annex.jpg

March 10th, 1936... 7 PM

Its nice to be home... to be around my family and friends.
My divison was one of the lucky ones, we where sent back from Bulgaria right away. The entire 3rd Infantry Corps was kept in Bulgaria as a garrison until things cool down. We have also got estimates for the dead. Sitting at 3,000 Bulgarian soldiers dead, and around 1,000 Romanian soldiers dead... im just happy I can hold my children again.

...

2 days later, a knock arrived on Corporal Yousseffs door. He had been reccomended for a promotion, as well as a medal presented to heroic acts among the Romanian army. (Yes, I know its probly not called a Corporal in Romania, and I have no idea what their medals are)
