Yeah, I understand the logic why. And I don't really disagree with the reason itself. The only thing that is bothering me is that I think it's not a very beautiful model. I really like the legionary one though. It's a subjective reason.This is just my speculation but perhaps because these are Legions now they opted to go with a model that represents a Legion.
The odd part of that idea is that the new model is that of a Centurion and not the Legate, so perhaps instead of representing the Legion itself it represents the cohorts armies within the legion since it can be split.
The old model would have been legionaries and not officers so maybe that’s why their didn’t want them representing the Legion cohort units.
