Currently playing as the Byzantine Empire as a Roman cultured character and trying to become the Roman Empire.
I've fulfilled all of the requirements to form it, and the option is clickable, but when I click it, it just disappears and nothing happens. No popup or anything.
I don't have any mods installed and I've tried again with a different character on a different save but it still doesn't work.
When I try to run the event through the console, it says the event doesn't exist, despite the fact that it is in the proper 'Roman_Events' file in the events folder.
Can anyone help? It's the most up to date version of CK2.
