Rolled back to previous version, can't make game fullscreen

Hello all, long time no see. I have rolled back my CK2 to 2.0.4, to the good old days when adventurers and claimants were a threat, when factions were powerful because they weren't united under one leader and could call in their allies, and when the game ran smoothly instead of stuttering and lagging like a mofo from the moment you start. I'll have to put up with those ugly Greek potato faces and steppe rulers looking like European kings, but I think it's worth the trade!

Strange problem however. I can't seem to make the game fullscreen? It appears to be stuck on windowed mode, and my task bar at the bottom of the screen shows through the game. It's annoying. I can't even find an option to change to full screen in the options menus. What can I do?

Not to worry, I figured it out. Had to edit the preferences file to say fullscreen=yes instead of fullscreen=no.

I hope it isn't buggy in the pre-Rajas version with all the pre-Rajas DLC's and expansions. I intend to play it like this forever more.

Apparently you didn't delete the setting.txt file and thus had still the old one.
There was no option in game to change to windowed or even borderless in 2-04.
You had to do it manually, just as you did here.

You could still play in Windowed and make your taskbar go hiding.
I had to change the resolution back then to 1910x1070 as i couldn't scroll properly otherwise.
I also more or less had to play in windowed mode as the colours in fullcsreen were terrible and no adjustment attempts were helping.
