I had a single planet in a sector with 1 other planet not building anything for several years. Decided to experiment a little to see if I could get it to build anything. Changed all the settings, gave resources, tax settings, etc. Let it run a couple of months on each setting. Nothing happened. Decided to give away the other planet in the sector so there was only the one planet left in the sector. Left it to its own devices for maybe 25+ years. Still nothing built.

The only thing on the planet is 2 synthetics and a built power plant (my 2 orders before assigning it to a sector.)
I have allocated 1 pop planets to sectors before and they build things (albeit slowly), so this seems like a bug. Maybe because I intend it to be a robot-only planet and the AI has no concept of this (the irony)? Maybe its waiting for a biological pop to appear before starting to build?

This is trivial for me to fix I guess, just unsector it, build all the stuff and resector it. But wanted to experiment a little and then bug report it.

Ps. Just got an idea about sector governors being anti-synthetics and refusing to build them, please make this a planned feature. :p

Was the sector allowed to build robots? I think it is supposed to build new ones if there are no organic pops around.
One of the advantages of 1.5 will be that the Sector is finally giving some feedback about Production/Planned operations. So then we at least can say for sure where it is hanging.

Yes, it was allowed to build robots, checked with basically all possible combinations of settings. Only thing I have not checked is if sending a biological pop changes anything.

I have seen this happen before, though it has been awhile. I'm not sure what caused it, but one thing I have started doing as soon as a droid colonizes is to queue up several power plants and a few droids manually before putting the system in a sector.

So, maybe what's happening is that the planet needs a certain energy income to cover the maintenance of the droids or synths before it will make new ones.

That is interesting, though when my robot planet was part of the 2 planet sector it had a sizeable energy income and built nothing.
Good (or bad) that I´m not alone having this bug. Might mention that the energy reserves of the sector is at the max 10000, so if the AI don´t want to invest in robots because its afraid to run a big deficit then its really dumb. Thats like the AI not building food buildings because food = more people, and more people = food deficit.
