Road to Independence
World is in turmoil.
Germany declared war against Russia in June 1914, which lead to formation of Triple Entente against Germany and it's Central Powers. Russian Empire which had lost a war against Empire of Japan was strugling to hold the German-Austrian attacks in the north and Ottoman-Persian attacks in the south. Kingdom of Italy has betrayed Germany and joined the war against Central Powers hoping to get hold of Ottoman lands in North Africa.
In February 1915 Japan joined the Entente and attacked German colonies in Asia. Worried about the safety of it's colonies in Asia, Spain launched an attack against France in June 1915 quickly advancing in Southern France but is now on retreat. British Empire is eagerly advancing in Africa to German occupied territory and forces from British India are marching in Middle East.
In Latin America former spannish and portuguese colonies, now independent states, are fighting against each others in quest for dominance of South America. United Central America has been dissolved and despite the attempt of unification by Kingdom of Guatemala it remains shattered. 2nd Dixie-Mexican war had crippeled Empire of Mexico from it's glory days to an minor power.
British dominance in North America is clear. After the successfull supression of Canadian revolt they have advanced all the way to the Alaskan border and formation of New England in British-American war. Kingdom of Columbia, an isolated nation in North-West America is getting worried about the continuos fighting between the Union States of America and the Confederate States of America.
Union States of America, the loser of American Civil war has continuosly tried to regain the lands lost in Civil war has managed to hold the Northen parts of former United States and has managed to get hold of Hawaii and Pacific island despite the fact that they have no Pacific coastline.
Confederate States of America managed to win the Civil War leaving the country divided. After succesfully annexing Texas in 1899 and after their success in Californian war against Republic of California they have managed to gain controll of Southern states from East to West and parts of Mexico. After 1850 Marxist ideas spread in the southern states quickly and after the 3rd American war CSA began the first Communist led nation in world. Ultimate failure of Communist party came during the 6th American war in 1904 when their leadership was challenged by the Democrats. This led to an coup and the victory of the war.
In North Europe Scandinavia has been formed. It has quickly advanced in technology but it's administration has made it impossible to grow economically due continuos revolts in former Norway. In the other side of Gulf of Bothnia lies the Grand Duchy of Finland. Part of Empire of Russia it has suffered from oppression and Russification but has still managed to keep it's autonomy. Finland hasn't yet participated formally in the Great War but some of it's armed forces have been forced to fight with Russian armies.
In the coming years the faith of Europe and World shall be decided.
