a) i'm doing the early bits from memory
b) i don't know how to put pictures in
in my first game, god knows what happened but somehow all the European unifications occured before 1500. and luxemburg survives.
any pointers will be appreciated (both in writing and gameplay, and when its caught up advice in direction)

He was the hero who had led the triumphant Brandenbugian troops to victory in Luneburg and Brunswick, before Germany was a distant dream. He had commanded landings in Alexandria and had personally raised the German flag over Mecca. It had been coming for some time now, since his retirement to the province of Hamburg he had been nothing but an delapidated, corrupt shadow of his former glory.
It was the end of an era.
'Send a delegation to the funeral.'
Rudolf knew that there would be outrage at his decision not to attend, but Polish nationalists assassinating his father meant that he had more urgent matters at hand. He would travel with his court first to Rome, then to Madrid, then to Lisbon, before going to meet Augustus and Ivan in Alexandria to discuss the threat from the east.
