History of the United Republic of Theia

The following is not an exhaustive list of historical events, but merely serves to give future generations an understanding of how things came to be as they are today. This list includes interesting and notable historical events that ultimately lead to the establishment of the United Republic.


The dates are described in the standard republican calendar with B.A. (Before Adherence) and A.A. (After Adherence) with the year 0 marking the year in which the Benebellum Emperor Iustinian VII. started adhering to the faith of Eriphuni (see Description of Theian Religions for more details).


Theian Historical Society

Part 1: Ancient History (ca. 3000 B.A. - 1499 A.A.)
Baruna:

• ca. 1000 B.A. - 338 A.A. The Benebellum Empire: The Benebellum Empire controlled most of Northern and Eastern Baruna; from the city of Benebellum, they conquered much of modern Werthia, Valeria, Usman, Kheerina and the old Ganlish Empire. The Benebellum Empire ultimately collapsed due to a combination of infighting, corruption, rebellious territories in, noteworthy in Kheerina and a conflict with the Xi Dynasty from Zhounge, which lead to the fracturing of both Empires.

• 338 A.A. - 1245 A.A. Rise of Kingdoms: After the collapse of the Benebellum Empire to the east and the Xi Dynasty to the west, the Continent splintered and local kingdoms, duchies etc. established themselves in the vacuum left. Many of these would become part of the modern nation states.

• 1245 A.A. - 1400 A.A. Rise and fall of the Kheerinan Horde: The province of Kheerina has always been home to a peculiar type of people, living a nomadic lifestyle and practicing the belief in the “Great Herd”. In 1245 the Khanates of Kheerina were reunited by one Akuma Kheer. He then went on to conquer Baruna, from the east in Agadda to the west in Külya. Only after his death in 1269 did the expansion of horde stop. His successor were able to keep the conquered provinces under Kheerinan control for about a century, after which a succession crisis caused the Khanate to splinter and fracture, which enabled the Eastern Kingdoms to regain their independence and escape the Kheerinan yoke. The successors of the Khanate went on to become Kheerina and Usman. During this time the Warlords in Zhounge were also reunited under the Ching Dynasty, which successfully repelled the Kheerinan Horde in 1264. After this the Zhounge Empire underwent a period of self inflicted isolation, wanting to seperate themselves from the outside, as they felt, it was responsible for all of Zhounge’s problems. This period would last until 1781, when the Valerian Empire conquered the Tonoun peninsula.

Akuma Kheer and the Kheerinan Horde​

→ 1499 A.A. Discovery of Nordurs and Dexia (Beginning of the Age of Colonialism)

Nordurs:

• ca. 3000 B.A. Settlement of the North: Settlers from modern Valeria arrive on Nordurs and establish the first cities, these cities, even though they shared many aspects of culture and religion (Oltism) they remained rivals to each other until the establishment of the 1st Northern Union in 1573 A.A.

• ca. 2500 B.A. Foundation of the Desert Kingdom: Al-Fariz, the oldest city still in use in the world was founded in 2500 B.A.. Originally built underground around an underground lake, the city soon spread, however it remained relatively isolated for centuries to come, by the inhospitable desert surrounding it, trade was only possible with caravans, a dangerous profession, that only few ever attempted. During the following centuries these alkhans (caravaneers) formed their own culture and traditions. Al-Fariz to this day follows the teachings of their founder Adeebah.

• 1250 A.A. - 1499 A.A. Period of Raiders: A series of good harvests caused an issue of overpopulation in Gotholm, many young men therefore decided to leave and look for fortune elsewhere. The Northerners were good sailors and able to built a type of ship ahead of its time: the longboat. With this they managed to reach the coast of modern Valeria and raided an pillaged for about a century, always arriving and leaving before any local response could be mustered. These raiders received the name “pilleur” by the locals.

Dexia:

• ca. 0 B.A. Founding of Dysopolis: Dysopolis was founded, by presumably Benebellum religious refugees, who refused to convert to the new faith, instead continuing to follow the old belief system. This period however did not last long and the Dysopians soon started to follow the Oltish beliefs around 150 A.A., presumably to improve their trading relations with the Northern city states.. However little evidence exists to support this theory besides religious scrolls that were found in dig sites around Dysoplis, which could be traced back to Benebellum. Little else supports this theory, as in 1344 A.A. Dysopolis almost burned down in its entirety and many artifacts and evidence regarding its founding were lost. It is also unclear how these refugees would have been able to cross the ocean centuries before other Barunan seafaring nations, but this mythos remains the most probable and popular theory, as it explains many of the cultural similarities which would be impossible without prior contact between the cultures.

Dysopian settlers would go on and form a complicated yet efficient trading network across Dexia, founding many cities such as the trading port of Athos in the process.

• 750 A.A. Founding of Vilkagrad: Dysopian settlers, settle on the crossing of the Vlika and the Holga, founding the city of Vilkagrad. From there they would slowly lose contact with Dysopolis forming their own traditions and religion (Pukleshi). From their Vilkagrad slowly grew more ambitious and started its long period of expansion across the continent, assimilating cultures and people they met into what would become the Vilkan Tsardom (1555 A.A).

Addendum: Much information about the indigenous people of Dexia has been lost to time and atrocities committed by Empires in their quest for expansion, many natives have over the centuries lost their cultures and traditions and have adopted the Barunan customs and religions, first and foremost Eripuhinism in its various forms. The only notable exception to this is Huedepa, which has been established by the Venturan Republic and the Federalized States of Dexia in 1802 to protect what was left of the native cultures, though it is only a shadow of what is believed to have once existed.


Part 2: Age of Colonialism: (1499 A.A. - 1802 A.A.)
Barunan Discovery of Nordurs:
In 1499 the explorer Jonathan H. Watkins from Ganford mounted a series of naval expeditions that would change the history of the world forever and would set the foundations needed for the Ganlish Empire and other Barunan global Empires. On June 6th 1499 Watkins triangulated the origin of the “pileurs” using the currents of the northern waters as a basis, this way he discovered the continent of Nordurs. He landed near the modern city of Arrowton, which was founded shortly thereafter as an outpost for the Ganlish crown, who was looking for ways to expand its influence. The Ganlish settlers soon discovered that due to the widespread use of gunpowder in Barunan warfare ever since its first uses on the side of the Zhounge Empire in border conflicts with the Venturan city states and the Usman Sulatanate, their weapons and tactics were far superior to the ones of the native Northerners, which lead to a rapid expansion of territory. This expansion was only stopped by the desert surrounding Al-Fariz and the 1st Northern Union in 1573, which successfully mounted a defense against Ganlish incursions into the north. However this Union soon fractured again in 1602 when the Valerian Kingdom landed on the western coast of Nordurs and successfully negotiated the coastal cities into joining the new Valerian Empire. After this the Northern city states again splintered into smaller rivaling states, only to be reunited in 1770.

Barunan Discovery of Dexia:
Watkins fourth exploratory mission lead him to discover the continent of Dexia in 1523. He died on this last journey of his at the age of 68.

His crew established an outpost on the eastern seaboard of the continent and named it New Ganford. From here the Ganlish Empire would expand across the continent.

The “Venture” and the “Galant”, the two ships of Watkins​

Valeria soon followed suit in the colonial expansion. In 1552 they established an city far in the north, Avant dú Nord would serve as a way inland and from there Valeria would colonize almost the entire east coast.

The Barunan colonial expansions were only halted by the Vilkan Tsardom in the south west. this Empire was able to defend itself due to its large size and enormous population, which was willing to fight for their Tsar.

To the North of New Ganford, the Ganlish Empire established a protectorate in the Dysopian league, as they were dependant on their trade routes being secure and Ganland supplied this protection in exchange for annual payments. In the Trade war of 1689 Ganland also acquired the Dysopian city of Athos, which would soon become the most important trading port in Dexia due to its fortunate position on Lake Lanthea and its connection to bothe the Dysopian League as well as the Ganlish Empire.

In 1699 the city states around the cities of Benebellum and Ventura unified under the banner of King Fernando de la Rosa and soon also started colonizing the North West of Dexia by promising protection to the natives living there.

The Valerian Empire’s colonial ambitions soon took a huge hit, when in 1772 its western colonies rebelled, due to a perceived unfairness in taxation, when Valeria raised them in order to repay the debts accumulated in their latest conflict with the Ganlish Empire. This lead to the seven year long war of Dexian Independence, which resulted in the founding of the Federalized States of Dexia (FSD). The FSD was founded on the principles of Democracy and self determination and soon took a leading role in the Venturan civil war of 1799, which lead to a similar style of Government and the establishment of the Venturan Republic. In cooperation with the FSD the Venturans established the Protectorate of Huedepa in 1802, a country where all the disenfranchised natives of Dexia could live in peace.


Part 3: Age of Imperialism (1802 A.A. - 1901 A.A.)
With the borders in Dexia seemingly set in stone and unlikely to change the Empires of Ganland and valeria set their eyes back to their own continent, where they found a weakening Zhounge Empire and Usman Sultanate. The Zhounge had kept up their policy of isolation, which lead to them falling behind in terms of technology and economy. While the Eastern Empires and the Werthish Duchies had entered a period of industrialization, discovering the steam engine and electricity, the Zhounge barely changed for the last centuries. This lead to the “Poppy Wars” of 1846 and 1859, in which Ganland and Valeria used the Poppies grown in their colonies in Dexia to forcibly open the Zhounge market to their countries, as well as conquering swaths of land (Tonoun and Sampor Wat respectively).

A similar fate experienced the Usman Sultanate as they could not keep up with the Valerian economy and soon found themself on the losing end of a war they could not not win. This ultimately ended in Valeria forcing their economic interests onto Usman.

The Shogunate of Tanakawa was forced out of its isolation by Ganlish and Valerian forces in 1889 as well which lead to resentment on the Tanakawan side for the next century.

A war against Kheerina in 1900 ended in the conquest of Agadda by Ganland, which secured the oil in the region for the Ganlish Empire.


Part 4: Age of Global Conflict (1901 A.A. - 1957 A.A.)
Zhounge Civil War:

After the Ching Dynasty lost the “Poppy Wars” and internal issues like corruption and latent racism against the lower classes (perceived to be different from the ruling class) the Zhounge Empire was plunged into civil war when the last Emperor died in 1901. This civil war, in which multiple warlords were fighting for different goals and ideologies would last until 1957 at which the communist faction, inspired by the teachings of Wertish philosopher Wilhelm Klaus about a classless society, won the civil war. They achieved this by brutally suppressing discontent in their ranks and spreading the same in the enemy ranks, thus founding the People’s Republic of Zhounge.

However the Zhounge Civil War had a brief pause between 1937 and 1948, in which the “Great War” was fought and the Tanakawa Shogunate invaded.

The Battle of Xilang 1955​

Prelude to the Great War:
The situation in northern Baruna drastically changed in 1918, threatened by Valerian expansionism the Werthish states were swept by nationalism and united under one “Führer”, Otto Birkenbach, the General of Werthburg, the largest duchy among the Wertish states. This coup d’etat was carried out in the name of the people to protect them, as the military felt, that the dukes in charge were incapable of protecting their subjects against the Valerian Empire.

With coal and iron in ample supply the newly founded Wertish Reich used its industrial capabilities to fund the largest armament campaign ever to be seen to that date. Using the latest military inventions Werthia was the first nation to have a Tank Corps and an Air Force as early as 1922.

When the Reich also started naval built up the Ganlish Empire felt threatened as well and entered a formal alliance with Valeria in 1930.

This alliance prompted several other nations, unhappy with the two global empires to side with Werthia, so it came to be that the Usman Sultanate and the Vilkan Tsardom entered an alliance with the Werthish Reich in 1931.


The Great War:
The situation escalated on 2nd February 1937 after a border skirmish on the Wertish-Valerian border caused a shoot out. With this the alliances sprang into action and a the nations mobilized their troops. This was the beginning of the “Great War”.

The name “Great War” is to this day highly contested among historians as it is misleading, because while the majority of the fighting was between five different nations, this gloal war enabled several smaller countries like the Tanakawa Shogunate to declare wars with the goal of expansion on their own. This being said the “Great War” more accurately consisted out of at least three different wars

.So it came that in 1937 the Wertish Reich, Usman Sultanate and Vilkan Tsardom (Iron Pact) found themselves in a war against the Ganlish and Valerian Empire (Imperial Alliance)

The war soon ground to a standstill in 1941, while highly successful on the Barunan land warfare, coming as far as 30 km distance from Valerié, the Iron Pact lacked the naval capacity to threaten the colonial possessions of Ganland or Valeria.

The Vilkan Tsardom only had limited success on the Dexian front as they soon encountered fortified positions of Ganland and their Dysopian subjects and found themself unable to advance any further than the southern tip of Lake Lanthea.

With Ganlish and Valerian assets being needed elsewhere the Tanakawa Shogunate used this opportunity to attack Zhounge while it was occupied with its civil war attacking from the eastern coast of Zhounge. However Tanakawa was soon repelled as in 1944 the different parties fighting in the Zhounge civil war declared a ceasefire and coordinated a defense against the foreign invaders, before resuming the civil war in 1951. Many historians however argue that Tanakawa only retreated as it became clear that global attention might soon shift on them as a peace treaty was close to ending the biggest conflict of the century and the Shogun was afraid of FSD and Ganlish intervention.

The Venturan Republic also started a similar campaign into Zhounge in 1941, however they were more successful than Tanakawa and were able to conquer swaths of land in the North-East of Zhounge, with the peace of 1945 resulting in the Zhounge-Venturan split of the city of Shengyun, of which the eastern part of the city became part of the Venturan Republic.

The standstill in the War of the Imperial Alliance against the Iron Pact forced both sides to invest resources into finding ways to overcome the resolve and military strength of their opponents. The Reich and Valeria soon found their prime candidate in the field of nuclear physics and both started their nuclear program in 1943..

In 1946 Valerian physicist Emmanuel Mérode, successfully split the atom. The Valerian military soon was able to put this technology into a bomb.

On 7th December 1947 the first of their bombs was dropped on the strategically important city of Ahnenstadt through which most of the Werthish railways went through. Although all aircrafts deployed were shot down the bomb was successfully deployed and destroyed the entire city and irradiated the surrounding environment, which to this day remains off limits due to the radiation.

This display of the destructive capabilities Valeria now possessed and which Werthia was well on its way to reaching as well prompted the Federalized States of Dexia and Northern Union to call for a ceasefire and start peace negotiations. Other countries such as Ventura and Kheerina supported this and eventually convinced the Ganlish government to do the same as Ganland was losing support for the war among its population.

In 1948 the diplomatic pressure was high enough to force Valeria and Werthia to the table.

On 31st March 1948 the ceasefire was declared and negotiations for a peace treaty commenced.

After years of negotiations on 22nd October 1951 under FSD moderation the treaty of Librévillé was signed. This treaty returned the historical Usman capital of Külya to the Sultanate, granted the Dysopian League independence and recognized the territories gained by the Vilkan Tsardom in Dexia, this however was the extent of the treaty as Valeria refused to give up territory and threatened with nuclear retaliation if an inch on Valerian soil was granted to Werthia. In the end a compromise was reached which established the following borders:

Part 5: Age of Global Peace (1957 A.A, - 2044 A.A.)
Technological leaps and bounds:

After the mediation in the peace talks of 1948-1951 the FSD took on a global leadership role. At this point they have surpassed the Ganlish Empire in GDP and have become the world’s largest economy. Under FSD leadership the new People’s republic of Zhounge was peacefully integrated into the Global Community (GC), a diplomatic body, designed to prevent armed conflict from occuring again and meant to further globalisation and economic prosperity. The GC successfully ended a civil war in Al-Fariz, which started after two rivaling princes tried to become king after the death of their father.

This stability enabled major technological progress. In 1968 the first computers were connected to the Internet and in 1977 the first man reached space. This man was David A. Dotson, a citizen from the Federalized States of Dexia.

In 1999 the first permanent space Station was established in orbit over Theia, built in a cooperative effort of FSD, Ganland and Dysopia it marked an important step toward unification.

Global Unity Movement:

Humanity and the nations became more interconnected and interdependent than ever before, this however changed after the fateful death of Führer Gustav Eichwald, leader of the Werthish Reich in 2005.

He was succeeded by Führer Heinz von Hohenberg, a ultra nationalistic conservative and militaristic person, who saw the peace of 1948 as a humiliation of Werthia and wanted to make Werthia great again. under his leadership the nuclear arsenal of Werthia was modernized and military build up resumed once again.

However while his views were popular with the older generation, the younger generation born in the 1980s and after, who already saw their government as unable or unwilling to represent their views or act in their interest, when it comes to matters such as the apparent climate catastrophe looming in the near future.

This Generation, organized over the Internet, established the “Global Unity Movement”(GUM), this movement called for the end of the nation states, especially the autocratic governments in Valkia, Werthia, Zhounge, Usman and Tanakawa (Ganland and Valeria had representative Parliaments and their Kings only served in ceremonial roles).

The GUM soon numbered in the tens of millions and started to gain ever more traction. In 2010 the first party organized out of the GUM was founded in the FSD, while their result in the 2010 elections was insignificant it still marked a momentous occasion.

When von Hohenberg called for the reestablishment of mandatory enlistment into the Werthish Army in 2015, this sparked mass protests in Werthia and even worldwide. These protests managed to grind the Wertish economy to a halt, as more and more people protested and striked against this measure.

In 2017 the Valerian chapter of the GUM managed to win 23 (of 500) seats on the Valerian parliament in their federal elections. In 2018 the FSD chapter followed suit, having 39 (out of 400) seats in the Dexian Senate.

More and more local parties of the Global Unity Movement gained seats in their regional and national parliaments, this caused backlash amongst the conservative community. In Ventura one of these backlashes caused the Venturan president to claim the GUM to be a terrorist organization, due to their increasingly more aggressive and violent actions in Werthia (in 2020 the Werthish military started cracking down on local GUM chapters, causing in some cities a state of near civil war and constant protests in many other cities).

For several years between 2020 and 2035 many GUM chapters were forced to flee underground, as their governments started cracking down on them and their beliefs.

However in 2026 the presidential elections in the FSD were won by Michael van der Brook, a candidate of the GUM, this combined with the massive increase of seats in the FSD Senate gave the GUM a total majority in the FSD.

Similar election outcomes (in 2027 in Ganland, 2029 in Valeria, 2030 in Huedepa and 2031 in the Northern Union as well as Kheerina) enabled the GUM to undertake their massive and revolutionary idea of uniting all of Theia under one Democratic Republic. In 2033 Ganland, Valeria, Huedepa, Northern Union, FSD and Kheerina merged. The United Republic of Theia (URT) was born.

Over the next eleven years the URT intervened in Werthia, Zhounge, Dysopia, Usman, Al-Fariz, Ventura and Tanakawa to enable democratic elections in these nations, by leveraging their superior military and economic might. By sending Observers into these countries to oversee the election process the Republic ensured, that the will of the people could not be ignored. After these elections the countries population soon decided to join the URT. Only the Vilkan Tsardom refused to allow elections of any kind.

After the death of Tsar Alexander III. in 2043 the new Tsar recognized the tides of time and reluctantly joined the URT. Vilka was therefore the last Country to join the United Republic.

The Tsarish family, as well as the royal families of Ganland, Al-Fariz and Valeria to this day have limited ceremonial local and sometimes religious positions, with no official political power.

And so it came to be that on 17th April 2044 A.A. all of Theia was unified under one democratic Republic, in which the principles of freedom and self determination reign supreme.

Part 6: Age of Republic (2044 A.A. - Today)
The first few decades of this new global Government were spent consolidating power, restructuring the new Provinces, which have been established, more in line of cultural and geographical locations, so that they are all bound by the newly established Constitution.

The first President of the Republic, Thomas Delarosa, the founder of the Theian Old Mandate, a party born of the merge of all center-left parties from the former nations, also decreed the construction of Lanthea, the Capital of the World, in order to avoid connotations of preferential treatment from the provincial governors. It was built near Athos, which has always been a city in which all the cultures meet and trade.

To this day nationalistic movements remain a common occurrence, some even advocating for independence.

The following century was a golden age for humanity, technological progress was rampant and in 2134 the first permanent outpost was created outside of Theia’s orbit.

Many corporations saw the potential and opted to start mining the resources found in the solar system, energy problems became a thing of the past.

In 2170 the first interstellar probe was sent with an experimental Hyperdrive to explore the so called “Hyperlanes” which seem to connect the solar system of our Galaxy. It was the same year the Republican Navy expanded and created the Delarosa-Class corvette in order to defend our planet if the need should ever arise. The first three ships of this class are: ISS Thomas Delarosa, ISS David A. Dotson and ISS Michael van der Brook

Now we write the year 2200 A.A. the next elections have arrived and once again the future of Theia will be decided by its inhabitants as it rightfully should be!

These elections are especially important as they will decide the what direction the Republic will take.

Miscellaneous Information:

• Theia lies in the Hapis Solar System

• Theia does not have a unified education system; there was a push for such a thing in 2144 but it failed due to heavy resistance of the local provinces, which claimed, it would risk destroying their cultural identity and values, it has not been attempted since → Quality of education varies
  
  
• in 2050 it was decided that all of Theia is to drive on the right side of the road
  
  
• The legal Age for voting is 18, people are registered by birth and vote for their voting district with a proportional representation system
  
  
• Gun ownership within the Republic remains a contentious topic to this day, with each province having their own laws about it, most extreme among them are the Province of East Dexia (Right to bear arms) and the province of Tanakawa (civilian gun ownership highly restricted) respectively
  
  
• The Republic has set up a public healthcare system in 2069, each citizen contributes to it with a special tax and is automatically covered for all necessary treatments, other treatments that are not necessary (i.e. plastic surgery) have to paid by each private person respectively; what qualifies as “necessary”, however, has remained a hot topic to this day
  
  
• On each continent exist extensive railway networks, long distance travel requires one to pay for it, while short distance travel (i.e. commuting) is free within your registered living district
  
  
• Drugs remain a contested topic within the Republic. While in some Provinces, such as North Dexia, South, Central and North Nordurs, some lighter Drugs are legal for recreational purposes, other Provinces have taken a stance against any drugs, most notable among them East Dexia, Ganland and South-East Dexia. A unified answer to that question has yet to be found.
  
  
• Death penalty remains similarly divisive with different Provinces taking different approaches to the subject (i.e.: East Dexia has it legalized, as do South, Central and North Zhounge, while Valeria, Ganland, South-West Dexia, the Nordurs Provinces (except Al-Fariz) have it banned).
  
  
• The ship prefix ISS stands for Interstellar Star Ship and marks every hyperdrive capable vessel in the Republic; Ships that are not equipped with hyperdrives such as shuttles or short range transporters or fighters are marked with SS (Star Ship)

The Importance of The Republic’s Youth
Multiple upcoming Senate Factions have begun programs to start urging the young people of the Republic to become more politically involved. The National Conservative Party has created the Young National Conservative Association which focuses on college campus clubs to encourage students to get involved with campaigning and debating activities.

The Democratic Labour Party (DLP) has created the Young Democratic Labour club. They hope to teach the youth of the Republic the importance of working together in tolerance, equality and fairness. While the YNCA is a club for college students, the YDL is a summer camp for kids 16-18 years old.

The One Republic Congress (ORC) released a less than formal announcement, released the news about them also having a summer camp for the Republic’s youth. They claim to offer scholarships to the attendees and that the goal of the camp is to help the Republic’s youth learn about Authoritarian Capitalism.

After the announcement of these they were met with some political backlash. Multiple factions spoke out against the programs, The National Movement (NM), the Theian Environmentalist Movement (TEF) and The Gommunist Workers Union (GWU) all released statements against the camps.

General Ludmila of The National Movement called out the programs for brainwashing the youth and urged parents to teach their children themselves rather than send them to ideological camps.

Dr. Crichton Li of the Theian Environmentalist Movement released this statement:

"Do not fall in the trap of partisan summer camps. If you want your children to learn about the environment or to explore the ways of science, send them to school or send them to certified summer camps which have your child's education as their best interest and are not some party's extended arm trying to get a grip on your children. The Department for Societal Research has some incredible summer programs of its own where your children can learn about everything from biology to statecraft. All in a non-partisan environment!"

Robert Gommue of the Gommunist Workers Union released a statement as well:

"Youth camps infringe on the formation of free thought. If you have to put propaganda into a child for most of their lives to get them to agree with you you're probably not the best person to be around children."


A debate between General Ludmila and Saint Kraus of the ORC. It was covered and broadcasted by Fulchrome News:

BREAKING NEWS: Candidates, Gulina Ludmila Grigorievna and Saint Kraus, for the upcoming Senatorial elections have debated fiercely on Camera. Following an invitation extended by Saint Kraus, leader of the One Republic Congress (ORC), he and Gulina Ludmila Grigorievna, leader of the National Movement (TNM) have met in the Gotholm community center to discuss their views. They discussed what they stand for, the discussion, however, soon derailed. Instead of answering each other’s questions in a civilized manner both parties resulted to raising more and more unfounded allegations against each others political platforms. Grigorievna accused Kraus of fear mongering, brainwashing children and taking away freedoms of the citizens of the Republic. Kraus raised other unfounded points and claimed that Grigorievna would want people to die in the streets of starvation. Kraus ended the debate, after Grigorievna left claiming to have proven her points “many times over”, proclaiming himself the “defender of the people” while branding her as a “traitor” who “ignores the current state of the Republic”. While no issues have been resolved or any progress in reaching a compromise was made, the viewers of the footage released by both parties, have been shown the material these candidates are made of.(edited)


Meet the Candidates: Gulina Ludmila Grigorievna: Passed military school at age 14, making her one of the youngest graduates. She has often been described as having a short attention span. Founder of The National Movement (TNM). Her Party’s expressed goal is it to increase autonomy for the pre-unification nation states, due to her dissatisfaction with the global Government. Saint Kraus: Self proclaimed “Authoritarian Capitalist” and “Defender of the people”. Has served in the military for 12 years. Worked 4 years as a social worker in Central Nordurs after retiring from his military service. Founder of the One Republic Congress (ORC). His Party’s goals are oriented towards centralization of the Government and decentralization of the market. It has been described as Nationalistic in the past. He, allegedly, has many backers in the corporate sector, though none have yet to announce their endorsement of him or his party, as is required by law.

On other News: Giden Schulz, leader of the Eriphunism Unity League (EUL), has announced the creation of a food donation drive to the poor outskirts of Nanbu Kong, inviting all who hunger to come to the local Church of Eriphuni to be fed and clothed. He furthermore invites all who come to receive the Bible of Eriphuni and join him and his party in servor. Additionally rumors claim that the EUL would increase their activity in the area. This plays into the EUL’s expressed goal to spread the Faith of Eriphuni.

The Birth of Space Tourism
Mr Fulchrome of the Fulchrome Media Group and Mr Brandston of Brandston Industries met with each other to discuss the possibilities of Space Tourism and the launching of Fulchrome Cruises into space.

Brandston arrives... Rather late. About an hour or so. He was wearing a suit and rather cheap sunglasses. He didn’t care for the expense. He walks into the building and smiles, walking to the receptionist. ‘2 O’clock meeting, William Brandston’

The receptionist smiles and gestures to the elevator "Mr. Fulchrome is waiting for you. Level 42, Conference Room 7."

‘Thank you.’ He takes his sunglasses off and walks into the elevator, pressing a few buttons and watching the doors close. Once they were in the top, he stepped out and into the conference room, smiling. ‘Mr Fulchrome, pleasure to see you.’

Zacharias looks rather annoyed for the delay, but smiles when Brandston enters the room "Mr. Brandston, the pleasure is mine. Well time is money and we are already behind schedule, so let#s get started, shall we?" He gestures to one of the empty chairs around the conference table

He nods. ‘Yes sir.’ He pulls the chair out and sits down, crossing his arms. ‘So, interstellar cruise ships, I think I can guess why you wanted me.’

He nods "Yes, some of my accountants have looked into the possibility of Interstellar Tourism. With the dawn of FTL travel, they expect the market to grow exponentially as humanity ventures into the stars. In the field exists, to date, very little competition, so it is worth investing in. For that matter: There are no commercially available civilian cruise ships for interstellar travel. Your company is leading in the fields of modern ship building, so I wanted to inquire, if you'd be interested to look into designing such an FTL-capable cruise liner for outer space, and give me a cost estimation."

He puts a black briefcase on the table and opens it, putting his reading glasses on. ‘Hmm.... We can definitely do it. Any size.... considering the market etc etc. it might be expensive. But affordable for your company.’ He begins to write on a piece of paper, doing some maths. ‘I estimate about... 2.6 million’

Zack nods "Hm, that sounds reasonable for designing a new starship from scratch. I would like you to get in touch with Eugene Norton from Fulchrome Technologies. He will assist with the technical aspects of computing, scanners and internal layout of the ship. How long do you gather the design phase will take, Mr. Brandston?"

‘The Design stage will take about.... 5-6 months.’ He looks up, peering at Zach through his glasses. ‘I will need layouts... design specifics, for example where you want your swimming Pools.’ He laughs. ‘I would advise attaching light weapons... to deal with asteroids and other space anomalies.’

"That is definitely something to look into, yes." He looks at the screen in front of him and types something "I will have my legal department send you the specifics for the contract. It will only be for designing for now, after we have the specs, we will run a cost benefit analysis and then decide whether we go forward or take a different approach. I would like an update once the design stage is finished. Is that agreeable to you, Mr. Brandston?"

‘Very agreeable. Is that all? I have a plane to catch and a child's birthday party to get to.’

"Yes that will be all. Thank you for coming, Mr. Brandston." He extends his hand to shake "And Happy Birthday to your child."

He takes the hand, firmly shaking it. ‘I’ll leave a business card with your secretary.’ He chuckles and steps back. ‘I’ll tell Ella that, She loves your shows.’

The World Entertainment Forum

Big Showcases of this years WEF convention were new developments made by Gilded Hope Enterprises Fulchrome Media Group and the Shinmum Group. Gilded Hope released their new games Warrior Hoplite and Stellar Conflicts Frontlines on the Chromestation. Stellar Conflicts Frontlines is based on the Fulchrome Media’s hit move Stellar Conflicts in which Episode One: The Coming Judgement was just released in theaters. Idiom Interactive studios partnered with the Shinmum Group also announced their new VR game Manifest Battle Arena.

Political Talks Begin

The Meeting of Right Wing Parties
Karl Braun of the NCP called for a Meeting of Right Wing Parties to discuss the upcoming election. TEF, ORC and TOM were invited to the meeting.

The Leader of the NCP, Konstantin Hoth, comes out of the room that they are in to address the crowd of Journalists. "Friends, welcome! While we are pleased at your enthusiasm to hear of the new alliance on the right side of Politics, I regret to inform you that Journalists will not be allowed in to the meeting proper. However, as a reward for your efforts, you will get Frontline seats to the press conference we are about to have once this meeting is concluded, where we announce the final results of the conference."

Karl Walks into the closed Meeting room and sits in a chair, and calls his assistant for coffee.

Dr. Crichton Li gives his clearance badge to the guard standing at the door to the meeting room. After getting permission to enter, he enters the room and takes a seat.

Tomaso Delarosa arrives in the closed off room, sits in his designated chair and awaits what will be coming

Hoth then walks into the meeting room, where he sits down, brings out a cigar, and begins to smoke.

saint arrives dressed in a black suit and with a red tie behind him were a group of men wearing grey suits with a golden eagle head on the right of their chest "Evening gentlemen."

“Shall we begin?” Karl says softly to the other members of the meeting.

"Indeed Mr.Braun." Saint Said.

Dr. Li nods as he looks to the other gathered politicians.

"Sure, I'm curious" Tomaso responds

Karl begins by announcing his intent for the meeting. “As we know We are pretty divided right now, and we need one candidate for us so that one of us may represent the People as President. We are to decide today who we think should run here and who are our parties will support him for the position”

Saint put forth the motion that Mr Hoth should run for president and it was seconded by Dr Li.

Karl: “Later we will discuss chancellor but to be honest Mr. Delarosa seems like the best choice”

"I am flattered by that mister Braun, and if you were to ask my opinion I think mister Hoth is indeed, of the parties on the right, the most suitable candidate." Tom responded.

"I could definitely support mister Hoth if it were to come to that, but I want to stress that my support is not set in stone yet. As you all know here, my Faction is first and foremost a centrist one, meaning I am more than willing to work with both sides of the political spectrum. I definitely expect the leftist parties to approach me as well and I will be hearing them too before I make a final decision. But as said, if I were to support a candidate from the right, mister Hoth would have my approval." Tom continued.

"Hold on, before we decide anything conclusive, what would the priority of a Hoth-presidency be?" Crichton Li asked.

"Well, if I were to win the Presidency, I think the emphasis would be on a stable economy and rapid expansion. We must carve out as much room as possible in the stars as possible." -Hoth

Saint, Crichron Li and Tom all expressed concerns about not straining the economy too much.

"The focus is on keeping the economy stable. That is the priority. If expansion were to Jeopardize that, we would obviously stop." was Hoth’s response.

Crichton announced "Whenever a species is introduced into a new environment and rapidly expands its influence, it is always eventually met by some countermeasure of the ecosystem."

"Of course I assume the economy would also be stimulated to facilitate that growth into space, right? And it would create a lot of jobs for our people." Tom remarked.

"Well of course. If other solar systems are as abundant in resources as this one, then I am sure that there will be plenty of resources to extract. Plus the stimulation of private industry via tax exemptions for targeted extraction is another way for resources to be gained." was Hoth’s response to Tom’s question.

"Expansion and economic growth can go perfectly hand in hand, we should not fear the expansion, we should embrace and actively encourage it!" Tom said.

"Sustainable expansion should be our priority, we must always keep the long-term perspective in mind. Mr. Hoth, what if we encounter Xenos?" Dr Li asked.

"Xenos, now that's a tricky topic. I suppose that it all depends on if they are sentient or not." Hoth pondered.

"We must assume space is a hostile environment and approach any Xeno we encounter with caution, sentient or not." Dr Li proposed.

"I am not going to lie about this, but we know my stance and your stance on intelligent xeno life are the exact opposite mister Li. The question is if you accept any intelligent Xeno life inside the borders of the Republic or not?" was Tom’s response.

"If they aren't sentient, then after a thorough examination to make sure it isn't a threat, then I say that there is no reason we can't coexist with what amounts to space dogs. If they are sentient then I say approach with caution, but I am sure that we will not encounter xenos for a good while, if at all." was Hoth’s response to Li and Tom

"We will have to see if the xenos we meet even exist." Saint Kraus interjected.

"There is no question about the existence of Xeno life Mr. Kraus. There are more stars in the sky than insects on this planet. The chance that the galaxy is a jungle teeming with life is significant. It is not a matter of if but when. Now, Mr. Delarosa, I do not like the fact that you take assumptions about my own views without even knowing me. I'm simply saying that we should be aware that what we find up there might want to eat us." Dr Li replied.

"If they are hell bent on destruction, then we will destroy them. If they want Peace, we will have peace. And besides, I doubt we will encounter aliens in our first 10 years amongst the stars." Hoth stated and all agreed with.

After a discussion about the market the meeting ended up in an argument between Saint Kraus and Tom. At the end The Freedom Coalition was formed with NCP, TEF and the ORC. TOM had left saying they would think further on whether they will join the coalition in the future.

The Conference of Party Leadership

Andy Smith of the DLP called for a conference to discuss future politics of the Republic. Tomaso of TOM, Giden Schulz of the EUL, Robert Gomme of the GWU, General Ludmila of the NM and Mahjarrat Nabor were invited to the conference hosted by the Shinmum Group.

The event started off with Allison Hyeong of the Shinmum Group “Thank you all for showing up. Senator Smith, I think you should start since you called the meeting”

"Yes thank you Ms Hyeong, alright everyone the reason I called this meeting is not only for policies but trying to come to an agreement on a potential candidate for the president election. Of course I mean no disrespect towards Mr Gomme, he has done a lot of work for this election, but you wouldn't mind if we were to have a second option for the voters?" asked Andy.

“Well do you have a suggestion?” asked Allison.

"An independent, someone that can be seen a person for people and for small businesses, I suggest either you Ms Hyeong or Mr Nabor." said Andy.

“Uh, well then how about Tom?” asked Allison.

"Why an independent candidate? Why not you, mister Smith? And I am too young to apply for the Presidency, Ms Hyeong." Stated Tom. He also mumbled about how forgetful Allison is but no one seemed to hear that part.

"While I enjoy the idea, and flattered you would put me up for it, I must agree that none of us have quite enough popularity to win; would you push foreward my or Ms. Hyeongs candidacy with the power of your party?" Mentioned Mahjarrat.

"I feel that the NCP will take any opportunity to beat me down, especially now that he manages to unite his formal competitors... " Smith than looks at Nabor. "I am scared my endorsement would be weaken Ms Hyeong's position, many people are more than happy to label me as a rebel against the the state." replied Andy.

"They would take any opportunity to beat just about anyone down. But if I realised anything that just drives you further into the ground" said Ludmila.

"I am assuming none of you want to endorse me." Robert asked a little disheartened. No one at the conference was willing to do so.

The topic of who among them should run for president ended up going no where. The conference then moved on to the topic of social welfare.

"Well I suppose but I would like to discuss what policies we should try to promote? Ms Hyeong what policies do you have in mind ?" Andy asked.

“I think the creation of Government Backed Social Welfare should be a start” was Allison’s reply. To which GeneralLudmila agreed with on the option of it being an optional program.

"Protecting the workers is important, but we must also not burden the corporations who will be vital in our expansion across the stars as well." was Tom’s concern.

"I suppose but the issue is wouldn't that be become a self funded poverty? If the person cannot afford the cost of living, how can they afford also to pay tax for his own welfare?" Andy asked.

Mahjarrat comments, "We would simply refuse to tax those below a certain income level; those who would fall below the poverty line due to it."

Ludmila responded to Mahjarrat Mahjarrat comments, "We would simply refuse to tax those below a certain income level; those who would fall below the poverty line due to it. Also such, that is a much better plan.”

"It depends if we want to give our benefits to all or the few, and I suspect the latter would call into question our motives, they'll spin us as pure populists." replied Mahjarrat.

The conference then moved on to the discussion that new jobs in the alloy, energy and mineral departments would be a must for the progress of the Republic. All members of the conference also agreed with being more friendly to xeno life should it be encountered. Afterwards they returned to the topic of who should run for president but got nowhere in the end. Tomaso left this conference like the last one, without fully pledging his support.

Fractures Within the Republic

TOM Grows
As the Republic moves towards the next election cycle, senate factions are still forming. Karl Braun has switched over from the NPC to TOM for the upcoming season. An announcement made by Tomaso himself announced the switch.

"The T.O.M. is happy to announce that Karl Braun, former member of the NCP, has decided to make the jump from the NCP to the T.O.M. During our hour-long discussions we discovered that we have much in common and mister Braun decided that a change was suited. I am glad that mister Hoth agreed with his stance and is fully supportive of his switch. We welcome mister Braun with open arms."

One Republic Congress Falls
The One Republic Congress, while trying to figure out what their faction ideology and policy stances were, came to a realization that many in their faction were divided on almost every issue. Saint Kraus has since released a statement saying that the One Republic Congress has disbanded. Many of the members are trying to reunify the faction into another faction. Among them only one man seems very promising, with men and women already flocking to his words. In time we will see what becomes of a man named Alexander Dremsk.

CEO Scandals Begin
During a meeting of the United Conglomerate a huge corruption scandal was brought to the authorities of the Republic. The CEO of Divitae Construction, Nikovi Karnazra, called a meeting of the United Conglomerate to discuss something important. At the meeting Karnazra expressed concerns that the Gommunist Workers Union might gain some real power in the upcoming election cycle. All members shared concerns that the GWU might be a threat to their companies, however Karnazra took his concerns too far. At the meeting Karnazra suggested the UC combine their efforts and create fake news and evidence to create issues for the GWU. The man even hinted at rigging the elections to harm the amount of votes the GWU would get. The other members of the UC contained Karnazra and alerted the authorities. Karnazra was arrested on the charge of plotting sabotage against the Republic and its ideals. The man pleaded guilty and was sentenced to jail time. Divitae Construction removed him from being CEO of the company and Xander Angradum took his place. Even under new management, the UC voted unanimously to kick Divitae Construction out of the UC.​

Eriphunism Unity League (EUL)

The Eriphunism league was founded in the year 2100 by cardinals, minor priests and devout followers of the faith in attempts to make the religions voice and influence louder in the world and give a party to voters that have strong religious values. The pope may not be politically active but members and of the church are active in hopes of spreading the word of Eriphuni and making religion an important traditional factor in society. The party does its best to preserve cultures of their followers by not forcing a united language, or a single national culture dominant norm. They only care in preserving the teachings of Eriphunism and not in the followers origins and cultural practices.

The party is well known for supporting policies such as subsidies, welfare and healthcare to those in poverty to the middle class in attempts to help society grow and be more unified in time. Party members are also known for being active in large charity events and donors as well. The party however is known to attempt to prozlatize people to the church during these events and have as of late tried to increase party membership and religious following in the poorer regions of nanbu kong.

Republican Defense Initiative (RDI)

A party for the socially liberal and fiscally conservative. The RDI was founded by retired CEO Daniel McMaster after an enlightening trip around the Republic. He came back home to Caris Park in order to found a faction that would emphasize ideals he thinks lead to a prosperous society: equal opportunity, laissez-faire economics, and rugged individualism. During its infancy, the RDI found little support in the heavily left-wing Caris Park and Athos. Daniel, fearing his new party would wither away, reluctantly merged with the Athos Reactionary Militia (ARM) in order to gain a new base. This wing of the party is the side that advocates for strong militarism. After a few more years of emphasizing lower taxes, less regulation, and equal opportunity, the RDI was surprisingly able to establish a strong base of power in the greater-Athos region. RDI politicians control much of the local government in the Athos Metro area. The RDI hopes to work with the NCP, a fellow conservative party based nearby in Lanthea. With their base set, the RDI and the ambitious Daniel McMaster hope to lead at the national level.

The Peace and Faith Compact is a new political movement led by Prince Adeeb Al-Darab ahead of the elections of 2200. The PFC was formed as an alliance of three smaller parties too new and too small to successfully campaign on their own that felt unrepresented in the existing party system. The pacifistic isolationists of the Peace and Development Party, Adeeb’s religious traditionalists of the New Mandate of Faith, and the autonomists of the Home Rule Compact thus united behind a common program of social change. While not yet the well-oiled machine of older movements in terms of resources or a traditional base of supporters, the PFC has a strong body of grassroots activists from its three component parties. Despite a significant level of enthusiasm for the party, it is facing an uphill battle to win over most voters. The FPC is therefore trying to emulate the Global Unity Movement of old in its campaigning in an attempt to appeal to voters with a similar message of hope and change.

Konstantin Hothserved his 4 years in the Army, but decided it wasn't for him. After that, he entered into the realm of politics, and slowly made his way up the political ladder, until finally he managed to get to the top of his local Conservative movement. But when the announcement of a Planetary Senate came through, Hoth decided to go national, and thus the National Conservative Party (NCP) was born, with him at its head.

The Theian Outerspace Movement releases the first ad of the election season, focusing on a strong, centralised and united government needed to tackle the upcoming challenge of massive expansion in outer space.

I know there has been much talk about what the future may hold, how the less fortunate might be rescued with our ascendance into the stars. The open market has been the single greatest tool of prosperity our species has ever created, a system wherein people can rescue themselves. To show your worth to the entire world! Now with space opening up before our eyes riches like never before will flood into our market, and every man, woman and child will have the chance to become a success beyond their wildest dreams! While most agree Gomme stands a slim chance in the elections a few still flock to his words.

The Senate Results
It was a long and hard campaign season as all factions brought out their very best trying to win the hearts and minds of the people of Theia. The people of the Republic have spoken and the results are in!

The Presidential Results
The Presidential Elections have come in and they are so so close! Of the votes The Presidential Elections have come in and they are so so close! Of the votes Hoth and Madelyn are neck and neck! Madelyn leads by a hair and Hoth is right behind her in votes! (Madelyn: 36/Hoth: 35) Mr. Gomme has fallen out of the race and his votes are going to the 2nd choice on the ballot! It will come down to who was the most 2nd choice of the Gomme supports! (Gomme: 11).

The Chancellor Elections
While several members of the senate sought out the Chancellorship it was a landslide victory this year. Tom Delarosa won the Chancellorship with 488 votes of the senate!

While Tom Delarosa has been elected Chancellor there is no coalition yet formed in the senate. Talks have begun between members of TEF, TOM and DLP to assure a stable government but nothing has been set in stone as of yet.

After The National Movement (TNM) hardly won any seats they arranged a merge with the National Convservative Party (NCP). This brings the NCP to a total of 51 votes.

“The Drunken Bargain”
After the elections, Alexander Dremsk of TUP, Konstantin Hoth of NCP and Daniel McMaster of RDI had a meeting accompanied by Zack Fulchrome of Fulchrome Media. After hours of discussion the three factions came to an agreement to form a new mega faction within the senate called the Freedom Republican Party. This faction would dominate the senate and hold over a third of the seats. They all celebrated over the arrangement and had a nice evening together. Days later a news report from Fulchrome News had this to say:

BREAKING NEWS: After the release of the election results Konstantin Hoth (NCP), Daniel McMaster (RDI) and Alexander Dremsk (TUP) met privately with Zacharias Fulchrome (CEO of Fulchrome Group) acting as a private legal witness. They decided to work together and merge their three parties into one and call it the “Free Republican Party”. Shortly before the first session of the Senate, which had the election of the Chancellor on the Agenda McMaster announced the Merge to the public. Shortly after that a speaker for the NCP claimed that such a merger was never finalized and would not be legal. said speaker, Jeremy, was fired publicly by Hoth only minutes later, who then announced that the merger was indeed legal. After collectively voting in favor of Tomaso Delarosa as the new chancellor Dremsk then exclaimed that his party will not be part of any merger or the FRP to “avoid a one party system”. Only minutes later McMaster went to the stage again and expressed that the other parties would be “too righteous to do what is best for the people” and that the merger will be postponed indefinitely. This seemingly marks the end of the probably shortest living Party in Theian history.

Jonathan Zinwah of The Free Word also made some news on the Bargain.

The 2200 general election is done and dusted, the results had some surprises but also some expected results. However the most of the action of election night occurred after the results were announced, not only did General Ilyssa Madelyn win a dark horse victory, but according to a report, Zacharias Fulchrome, CEO of Fulchrome Group and prominent member of the United Conglomerates, Daniel McMaster of the RDI, Alexander Dreams of TUP and Konstantin Hoth of the NCP met in a close door meeting to discuss a full merger of the 3 factions, with Full Chrome acting as a witness and moderator. During this discussion which lasted for hours, a supposed “legal” document was signed between the three groups to create a 247 seat monster in the Senate.

However the deal began to show cracks almost instantly, first NCP seemed to withdraw from the deal, but then it was revealed to be an error and the person responsible was fired. Then the faction which by this point was of still unclear validity (it had not formally registered as a faction) then voted with its massive weight for the Tomaso Delarosa for Chancellor. However after the session of the Senate was over, it was then revealed that Alexander Dremsk also walked from the deal, calling it “an attempt to make a one party state” and citing massive differences in ideology. How this deal was even conceived will remain a mystery, and one has to wonder how such a ridiculous affair even made it to the announcement stage. So as of now, TUP,NCP (who acquired TNM in a quiet merger) and RDI remain independent factions. This series of events has quickly become known as a “Drunken Bargain” coined by Senator Al-Darab. After only the drunkest of individuals could up with a merger plan this ludicrous.



The Daily Theian Market

The New Century has markets teeming with life as investments begin to be made. The Daily Theian Market estimates that markets will be at an all time high with around a +2825 points at the start of this year.

This year the top market to invest in is the Alloy Market. Just as experts had guessed, a rise for alloys was going to come with the launch into space. Alloys currently make up the most shares of the Stock Market coming out this 2200. Those with stocks in Habitable Comfort are sure to make it rich.

The next best investment of the year would be the Mineral Markets. The need for building supplies and workers has seen a huge influx in Mineral investments. Werthish Petroleum holds the largest shares of this ever growing market.

The Energy Market as always is booming and making its way to profits once again. Arguably one of the safest markets to invest in, experts expect to see a rise in investments in the coming years. The United Banks of Thiea holds the largest shares of the market keeping our Republic moving forward and funcunting but it has a lot of close competition.

The Food Market has a lot of competition but the Market will never not be an important one. Experts estimate that the market will be steady and stay along the same. It could potentially be worth the investment but there are greener fields so to speak. Baruna Agricultural Products holds the most shares of the market.

The Unity Market has suffered a lack of investors in recent years. The lack of flowing money has led to some less than loved movie productions. With the rise of some competition in the market some experts believe that we will see a surge in investments in the near future. Republic Media currently holds the most shares.

A surprise to all investors is that the Consumer Goods Markets is the least invested market of the year. Experts are worried that this could lead to a shortage of Consumer Goods. They believe and hope that there will be a surge of investments in the Market in order to help Consumer Goods companies afloat and ensure that the Republic doesn’t run out of much needed supplies. Company Aid holds the most shares of the market.

The Senate met at the start of the new term with 482 senators from the factions of TEF, PFC, TOM, NCP, RDI, DLP, NMC, EUL and the two independents. For this session the new calculated majority to pass a bill was 241 votes. The 118 seats not in attendance were the factions of GWU and TUP.

Therefore the Theian Econationalist Movement proposes the Interstellar Bio-Protection Act or IBPA. The IBPA enforces quality standards on any spaceship or other vehicle which is meant for interstellar travel and especially for travel to other habitable planets. Vehicles falling under that category will have to be equipped with a decontamination room and will have to follow a decontamination protocol to ensure that all harmful viruses, bacteria and microorganisms which may harbour diseases, are decontaminated and no longer pose a threat to Theian life.

The Slum Action and Welfare Act

In order to go forwards in society we must eliminate poverty as a whole. We must start to relocate the people of the slums and finally put an end to extreme poverty, the plan goes as follows:

1. The government will send a notice regarding the relocation in advance, with the help of the social workers, to pack their belongings. And food and water will be provided during that period
2. They will be relocated to an affordable housing district, and be provided job seekers allowance, while given the option to sign up for the colonists program.
3. Those who sign the program will be prepared for potential discovery of a new planet, and those who do not will be given training to help work in the space industry, or other industries.
4. Further plans will be carried out in a similar fashion

At present, the legal implications of First Contact are ill-defined and leave our ship captains with no clear guidelines if or when they encounter fellow travellers in the hyperlanes. We believe that as we venture out into space, the likelihood of such encounters grows exponentially, and propose to establish rules of engagement for a First Contact scenario. While there are many opinions about our interaction with intelligent life should we discover it, this act proposes to err on the side of caution. The threat of interstellar war, be it great or small, is not helped by potential misunderstandings on our part in this, the first introduction of our civilization to an alien power, and potentially a lasting one to our relations if it is mishandled. We propose to remove this dilemma by restricting the use of force by our ships in a First-Contact scenario unless they are attacked by the contacted beings in question.

3.The creation of a Republic-backed retired unemployment pension, where anyone over the age of 65 will be allowed to retire with the funds being taken out of a portion of the taxes the retiree has paid to the government when employed+Plus a base to be set by the PWA. Food Agency Act (FAA)

This vast increase in possible food sources also calls for some health and safety measurements to ensure that our citizens are not infected because our knowledge of alien food is lacking. This bill therefore proposes to establish a Food Agency which will be tasked with setting food standards for the Republic, in its future colonies but also on Theia. This Theian Food Agency will determine which foreign crops and foods are safe for human consumption and are thus allowed to be sold on the market. The Food Agency will also be allowed to send inspectors to farms to ensure that health and safety standards are respected.

This is partly due to the fact that age tends to catch up to soldiers and not every soldier can serve in another branch of the military when they reach a certain age. These men and women are therefore often forced to enter the civilian labour market. However, some have a difficult time adjusting to and reintegrating themselves into the labour market. This bill therefore proposes that: All veterans of the army and navy who have served for at least four years, receive an education benefit. This includes financial support for applying to college or university, payment of additional labour-oriented training or any other form of higher education aimed at reintegrating people into the civilian labour market.

This bill proposes that the senate prioritize the production of civilian goods for the next ten years by converting the production lines of some alloy factories to the manufacturer of consumer goods and other essentials of the civilian economy.

Realizing that this measure while a welcomed step in the right direction does not solve the greater lack of investment in said regions, that for historical and societal reasons are presently disadvantaged compared to some of the more developed regions of Theia. Reaffirming the commitment of this house to assist disadvantaged peoples in the Republic by supporting economic drives aimed at providing employment for the regions and wealth for all of Theia, as well as the interest of attaining further integration. Recognizing that further integration cannot take place without recognizing and empowering the unique needs and traditions of each culture and the historic failure of standardization efforts, education and other policies when these were last attempted. This bill proposes that the government support the creation of new cultural, educational, and commercial centres across Theia, particularly in disadvantaged regions, dedicated to representing the interests of minority groups, attaining a multicultural integration, and even greater heights of wealth for Theia as a one diverse United Republic.

This bill proposes that the names of the stellar bodies in the solar system be changed to represent our cultural heritage subject to senate discussion over proposed names and possibly a public poll to decide which names should be chosen.

The Republic has begun its age of space exploration and thanks to the The Preparation for Expansion Bill and The Expansion Fund Initiative the space age is in full swing! Of the two new scienceship bids for the Republic, Wayward Sons Shipping and Uncle Sam's Shipyards have greatly invested into the ships. As per the The Expansion Fund Initiative, Wayward Sons Shipping has chosen Pari Chandran to lead the ISS Ptolemy and Uncle Sam's Shipyards has chosen Edith Salinger to lead the ISS Magellan. Pari is a well accomplished Archaeologist and Edith an eager niece of the CEO of Uncle Sam's Shipyards. Not much of note was really found in the first year but progress is progress!

The Republic is proud to announce that several projects of the senate have been completed in great time! New civilian industries are appearing all over Theia and the slums of the world have been completed cleaned up!

Captain Pari has also reported back that the planet of great interest in the Ehsmyke system has been discovered to be a perfect world for future colonization! It has unique Ice Rings surrounding the planet and noticeably frequent thunderstorms and dense jungles.

Throughout the year Captain Edith has reported many different times about strange and obscure events occurring in the Unith system. More of the "Cybrex" machine remains have been found in the system. An alarming amount to be sure. Four different planets in the Unith system have remains of these killer machines. Edith has been warned not to further investigate as of now.

The most interesting of the planets is Unith III in the system. Covered in some strange sort of shield appears to be an almost perfect world! It has been named a Gaia world and at first glance appears to be a wonderful planet. Ground scans have shown that the "Cybrex" left behind many things on this world. Planetary shields cover the world and it seems that machinery is littered all over Unith III. The science team desperately wanted to go to ground and begin exploring but scans also show swarms of hostile xeno life on the surface of the world. Monstrously misshaped looking lifeforms have been spotted on the planet and they seem to be the dominant predators of the planet, even eating each other at times. The world is marked as highly dangerous.

Disaster In The Senate


Blatant Lies

The year 2203 came as any normal year and the Republic looked forward to another year of progressing further into the stars. However this peace was interrupted by the release of a new journal published by the PFC. The Peace Party Journal was targeted to attack the Freedom Coalition and McMaster of the RDI for how they voted and acted in the senate of 2200. While many disregarded the journal and called the PFC out for lying in it, McMaster was greatly offended by the Journal. The RDI launched an even greater slander campaign against the PFC and flooded the media with news that the PFC was full of child abusers. This accusation had absolutely no facts to back it and was called out for a blatant lie. RDI supporters, allies and opponents all turned on the faction and leader calling it a disgustingly shameful display.

After some internal fighting with the Freedom Coalition over the actions of the RDI, the Freedom Coalition fell apart. TEF, NCP and TOM all declared they would no longer be part of the majority coalition if RDI were a member of it.


The Emergency Session of 2203
With the collapse of the majority coalition, Chancellor Tomaso Delarosa of TOM called an emergency session on the senate floor.


Tomaso Opened the session with the following statement:
"Dear Senators, I think we are all informed as to why we are here. Although I notice that we are not with enough Senators to immediately agree on what I am about to propose, the voting will be left open to give time for those Factions to vote if they could not make it here. After discussions internally, as well as within the FC, given the current situation, it is my belief that the current situation is too unstable to continue. Therefore I propose a vote for new elections to be held this year"

Adeeb Al-Darab of the PFC spoke against the re-elections "Can we truly justify the public waste that comes with an election? After one was so recently held? Holding a vote costs millions of credits, I think this house should think long and hard before supporting such a measure."

President Madelyn agreed with Adeeb and asked the senate "Then why not form a new coalition with the preexisting seats? the PFC is correct, elections are expensive."

Samuel Vallone of the NMC agreed that a coalition should try to be formed before doing another election.

This led to a massive debate between the senate in which no new major coalition could be agreed upon.

"As much as I regret it, re-election seems the most viable option. I don't wish to see the people suffer from an unstable government. As of now, there's not enough seats to support the government." Andy Smith (DLP) said

"As much as I respect you Andy, I think you are wrong. There are more than enough seats in this house, all we lack is the will to use them." was Adeeb Al-Darab’s (PFC) response

"Looking at the volatile nature of our current situation, I highly doubt many parties are willing to make a majority government; we could continue like this, I suppose, but a re-election would at least give us some validity rather than sending us into a disgusting free-for-all brawl that barely represents the will of the people." Mahjarrat Nabor (Ind.) refuted

"In order to avoid putting the people through pointless elections, we would certainly consider it, given certain assurances befitting a coalition partner. The time has come for collective responsibility. We Made this mess, now let's solve it." Adeeb pleaded

"The NMC is currently exploring what we can do to renew stability. If that will require a new election in the end, then we will support that" Samuel Vallone (NMC) stated

“TOM will not blindly build a coalition that has the chances to be even more unstable then the last” Karl Braun (TOM) promised

"In my deepest opinion we need a new election, the people needs to express their opinions after such a massive event. If we continue to maintain an unpopular government, we are not representing the people, but our own interests." Andy (DLP) continued the stance of re-election

"And what massive event would that be exactly? We are not beset by an invading army, civil war is thank God not upon us, all we've experienced is some silly ad being published that should not have been." Adeeb (PFC) stated

"The current government has failed to be a stable and strong force to lead humanity to a new frontier. In times like this a minority government will only bring mismanagement and chaos." Andy (DLP) replied

“Blindly Building a new coalition will Not help our issues!” Karl (TOM) reminded everyone of what he said earlier

"I will only work with reasonable members of the FC, a new coalition must be formed, one that is not the minority." Alexander Dremsk (TUP) commented

"We have much to be thankful for and no right to waste money or expect the public to vote differently than the last time. With that being the case, the PFC will support the government even if no one else will." Adeeb (PFC) said again

“I say again, Blindly Building a coalition is not and will not fix our problem, we need another election!” Karl (TOM) refuted once again

"Blindly walking into an election might not fix our problem either, but it will cost a lot of money and perhaps lead to a much lower turnout than the last time and less legitimacy to the system." Adeeb (PFC) would not sway from his stance

“WE CAN’T PUT THEIA FIRST IF WE DON'T HAVE A STABLE GOVERNMENT!” Karl (TOM) shouted. He was asked to maintain order by President Madelyn.

The argument over forming a new coalition was overshadowed by the arguments between the RDI and the PFC. President Madelyn had to threaten to remove them from the senate floor in order for the two factions to calm down.

By the time that the two factions had backed off each other the vote had hit the 66% required for a re-election!

TEF launched a small campaign for the re-elections stating:
"While other parties bickered and made false accusations against each other, the TEF stood by the truth and could not let lies be the base of a coalition with the RDI. A vote for TEF is a vote for responsibility."


Alexander Dremsk of TUP released this speech to the public:
"Ladies and gentlemen! What occurred today has shown that not many parties stand for the people. The TOM, RDI and the NCP have voted to not only to not industrialize the system, but to keep the slums. I am a speaker of YOU, I support a nation where the Theian people are protected and given an equal opportunity, one where a glorious nation with a glorious people can thrive. I promise you, your welfare will come and you will no longer live in the slums, I promise I will create a fair market for these corporations that desire a place in the market and a nation where the Theian people can thrive."


A speech from Adeeb of the PFC:
“The PFC opposed this election; we believed and still do that it is a weight on the public purse that we the politicians could scarcely justify to the people only a few years after they so diligently gave us their mandate in an unprecedented electoral turnout. We tried to prevent this tragedy, going so far as to sponsor unlikely alliances with parties we would normally not work with, but there lies the problem of politics today; the personal disqualifications of parties and individuals on the basis of ideology and personality. We have not always been a party of dialogue with others to put it mildly, and we along with the rest of the political system forgot that it is to the Theian people to whom we owe our ultimate allegiance. It is my shameful duty as a politician to ask you the people to once again go to the polls and vote, not because your previous ballot was invalid in any way, shape, or form considering how many people voted in that election, but because our democratic system of government is still as noble an idea as it ever was and needs your support, now more than ever.”


Gommunist supporters have been seen holding fundraisers and protests across the Republic to help give more attention to the coming possible food crisis the The Equal Nutrition Act will cause.

Tomaso Delarosa releases a very short message on his personal social media account containing the lyrics of a popular song he admires, as an analogy to the current situation "Was it obvious to everybody else That I'd fallen for a lie? You were never on my side Fool me once, fool me twice Are you death or paradise? Now you'll never see me cry There's just no time to die"

The Legal Scandal

On his late night show, Xander Thaddeus presents a special. "While most of us were focused on political scandals, the world of finance was rocked by a drama of its own. The Shinmun Group's shares, through a complex series of shell companies, were siphoned off to members of the UC, a corporate alliance which — as we're obliged to mention to uphold journalistic standards — the Fulchrome Group is a part of. Though not illegal in itself, merely underhanded, there are several more sinister undertones to the debacle. Several senators in the RDI and NCP were alleged to have been part of the laundering process, and already Chancellor Delarosa has had grim words for his former coalition members, saying on social media "[he is] appalled to see all the hard work be thrown into the bin that fellow Senators perform to earn the trust of our citizens''. After three extremely hectic years of senate, which has been host to screaming matches and instability, now appears to be further tainted by Senators playing corporate espionage when they should be running the country. The ramifications have already thrown the NCP into a mid-election leadership challenge, and we've yet to see if this will further impact RDI abysmal polling. As we are broadcasted by the Fulchrome Group we have access to an exclusive response from Mr. Zacharias Fulchrome. He told us that "It is a common business tactic. I am sure the Shinmun Group would not hesitate to do the same thing to us. [It] is common practice in the business world today and that it is not personal. I harbor no ill will towards the Shinmun Group or its chairwoman" On the subject of the Senators involved he told us that they invested in the shell companies as private persons. That is their right and every individual has the same. They can invest and use it in any way they see fit." It is looking worse and worse for the former ruling coalition, and a Senate upheaval may be brewing among the electorate."

A statement on Shinmun Social Media Those responsible for such morally abhorrent acts have already been fired and blacklisted by the Shinmun Group, they will never be associated with our company again. While the practice of forming shell companies in order to siphon stock is considered legal, it is near universally condemned in both the corporate and civilian worlds. Due to such shameful actions by the UC, effective immediately all contracts with both NES inc and Fulchrome Media are hereby cancelled, any payments for product deliveries will be refunded. Atlas Corp, the contract with this company is under review. It is the belief of the Shinmun Group that the UC must defend their actions and go beyond the simple "This is just business" for that is not a justifiable defense for a practice near universally frowned upon. The Shinmun Group would never sink to such a practice, and believes that any company with morals would never use such a practice either


Jason A. Eden, CEO of the Atlas Corporation releases a statement:
"I, as a proud and honest man, deny any involvement in the UC plot to seize the assets of the Shinmun Group and will stand by the belief that the doing of such a thing is and forever will be frowned upon by the Atlas Corporation."

Jason A. Eden released another statement:
"From here on out, the Atlas corporation will terminate its membership with the United Conglomerate due their most recent actions as well as the many deals made with non-UC members and will hereby Denounce the UC for their actions. And i will reiterate, I, as well as my company employees, are innocent and did not partake in their plot against the Shinmun Group."

Andy Smith of the DLP stated:
"The attempts of members in the UC to expand their influence through questionable means, just goes to show how deep corruption and petty business tactics is embedded into some corporate entities. The DLP will never support such unfair competition that seeks to destroy the labour of work of others."

"The fact that the NCP and RDI was involved with the matter of big businesses shows us that the two parties are truly, political lapdogs of the top percent. Is this truly a type of Republic that we want?"

President Madelyn also commented on the situation:
The President posts on social media while reposting Shinmun's statement "We already knew that the RDI had some substandard acts of morality based on their statements towards the PFC, however this not only strengthens that belief, but drags in the NCP with it. Senators McMaster and Hoth should be ashamed of all of their actions here today, as it is a disgrace of abusing their position and failing democracy; regardless of the legality, this immoral act can not go unnoticed. In addition I am even more disappointed with the United Conglomerate. For being born of a free and fair market they seem to have no respect of the process, and they should be shunned for their acts. #BoycottUC"

Dri Crichton Li of TEF made this statement:
Dr. Crichton Li sends out a message on social media. "I am deeply disturbed by the recent events involving the UC, the RDI and the NCP. Not only is the practice of shell companies buying stock to weaken a competitor a threat to the health of the capitalist system, the involvement of political parties which proclaim to be for the free market is a troubling sign of corruption. The TEF stands by the truth and will not let corruption dictate the next government."

The T.O.M. was right to cut all ties with the UC and we implore our fellow Factions and Senators to do the same and denounce the UC as well as the RDI and NCP for their immoral actions"

Adeeb Al-Darab of the PFC also stated:
The following is a statement from the PFC “When the United Conglomerate provoked a public scandal with the reintegration of Divitae Construction back into its organisation, the PFC called for the establishment of an independent inquiry into the UC’s conduct and its dealings in political life. We now consider such a step to be absolutely necessary if the UC is to continue its role both in business and in the public sphere. We call upon all parties to pledge their support for such a measure and any other considered necessary by the senate once it reopens to restore public confidence; both in industry and the integrity of our political system.”

Statement of von Goppelburg to the UC scandal I do not condemn the UC for using legal business practices. However considering the possible backlash of such a practice discovered, it seems to me to be a risky move. The UC just reaps what it has shown in playing such a risky game. Building an opening the Shinmun Group will use to its advantage to gain maybe even more back then they lost. As the Republic continues to grow into the stars the markets are booming! Now is the time to invest while it's rapidly increasing!

The Consumer Goods market is on fire this year as new factories are seen all over Theia! Surprisingly LifeStyles Furniture has seemingly taken huge advantage of this growing market. Experts are not sure why chairs are so popular these days but investors don’t mind the flow of money!

The Alloy market is still booming as the Republic gears itself up to begin expanding into nearby solar systems. Wayward Sons Shipping has taken huge advantage of the new alloy factories and signing deals for the Republic science vessels.

The Food Market is booming due to the excess food being bought by all! Everyone is eating well and prices are going up! Investors are buying up the stocks as quickly as possible in case worst comes to worst in the next few years. War Tea continues to lead the food market as they continue to be Theia’s favorite drink!

The Mineral Market is looking great as it continues to grow! Rumor has it that there is tight tensions between Divitae Construction and Lone Star Mining, after the CEO of Divitae Construction insulted the CEO of Lone Star Mining earlier in the year. Divitae Construction is the leader in the market at the moment but experts suggest that may soon change.

The Energy Markets grow slowly but profitably and expect a rise in the near future due to the senate planning out a whole new energy district. The Confederated Banking Clans are the leaders of the market as they open new locations all across the Republic.

The unity market continues to lag behind but continues to grow! Republic Media still holds the most shares. Controversy has broken out over the actions of the UC however about them siphoning unity shares from the Shinmun Group. While the tactic was done legally many Corps are angry with the Conglomerate.





The Emergency Re-election results

The polls saw heavy foot traffic from concerned citizens of Theia. The results are in and experts have no idea what the major coalition could possibly be!

The RDI fell hard losing half of their seats in the senate! Their fall was the benefit of many factions within the senate as the seat count is on very even footing. The Senate has decided that science shall be the focus of our Republic and great efforts to explore and understand the stars! We have found faster ways to explore the stars as well as optimize the scientific discoveries out there.

While Captain Edith was warned to avoid Unith III, she ignored orders in order to explore an anomaly on the surface. After collecting some soil from the surface and sending it back to labs on Theia, the science teams have reported back to the Senate that they have found a way to make a fertilizer from the Gaia world soil and boost food growth! Experts think that this will avoid the on-coming food crisis citizens have been worried about. Gommunist supporters are still shouting of an impending crisis.

Food has been sent in mass to the people of Theia in order to keep every citizen feed with no worry of running out of food! The government program brought on by the RDI's The Equal Nutrition Act hopes to see a growth boom in the Republic.

This Bill should downscale drug abuse and provide accurate numbers of addicts and hinder the grows of illegal businesses.

The Intrasolar Resource Exploitation Initiative (IREI)

As it stands, the Theian economy is excelling in the production of specialized goods while falling behind in its acquisition of raw materials and credits. According to government and private prospecting missions of our home system, intrasolar heavenly bodies hold large amounts of raw materials which can either be used directly as resources or converted into credits. This bill proposes the creation of government contracts to private corporations in order to exploit the vast wealth located within the borders of our home system. It also proposes the establishment of a government-run Intrasolar Research Corp to investigate possible research opportunities within the home system. Initial Expansion Bill

The Unith III Accords

Another year goes by and the Republic continues to move forward! Survey teams were sent to all colonizable worlds in order to better plan the future colonization plans.

Ehsmyke III and Erasmadon III are both ready for the Republic's colonies as they should be easily colonizable. Citizens have already begun to fill out forms to apply for the future colonies. Many look at these worlds in wonder and with hope.


Maps of Unith III have come back to the Republic and they are full of danger. Almost no citizens have signed up for this colonization mission and there are even active protest groups calling for the senate to not land civilians on this hostile world! Many fear for the lives of those sent to this hellish planet.(edited)

Captain Edith continues to surprise everyone as she has located another world for future colonization! This is a truly wonderous planet that has a floating continent on it! Scientist are baffled by this world and are eager to one day land on its surface.

The planet also looks like it will be able to sustain massive farmland however scientist are slightly worried about some of the first surveys and push for further exploration.

Very interesting reports have come in from the Tiblic system as a space station is orbiting in the system. There are clear signs that the station is active and lifeforms are onboard the station, however we have not been able to contact the station fully.

The bills passed by the senate continue to improve the life of all civilians as social welfare policies are released to all citizens of the Republic. The last remnants of the old age are gone as well as more industrial wastelands have been removed and are ready for new possibilities! A new mineral district has also been completed during the year.

President Madelyn Vetoes Amendment Change


During the senate session of 2208 President Madelyn gave this speech on the amendment change:

"If the senate represents 100% of the electorate, why is 60% attempting to silence 33%? I also agree, checks and balances are important. However, this system is attempting to silence the minority, as I have said before. BNy lowering the limit to repeal a presidential veto, there is put in place a hindrance on minority parties to have a voice. We are a republic for all, not just the majority. Even though the amendment reduces the ruling by 8%, that is 8% of senators, 8% of votes, 8% of citizens, who no longer are considered to matter in our legislative body. What this amendment does is attempt to grant the majority coalition even more power than they already have, and are in fact undermining the checks and balances system we have had put in place. that 8% is a check and balance, and the majority coalition is attempting to remove it. Majority does not mean all, and we are a republic for all."

The speech however fell on deaf ears as the senate voted in favor of overturning her veto. The Amendment will move on to a public referendum in order to see if the public will accept the change.

Chancellor Delarosa Resigns

The stress of politics has taken its toll on Chancellor Delarosa. The wonder Tom felt for politics has turned sour and some of the rudeness of senators brings great shame on the Republic. Having given up on his senate ambition, Tom has signed up to become one of the first colonists for the Republic. He has claimed to settle the unknown world with the values of the Republic. With his ambition to become a colonist the sign-ups have seen an increase.

With his resignation almost no senator wanted to take up the mantle of Chancellor to end the term. However Senator Adeeb Al-Darab of the NMC stepped up to the task. He lead the last session of the senate with dignity and respect.

Expansion Standards Act

Every time a new star system is explored, there is a high chance a planet that is colonizable is discovered. However not all planets are fit for human habitation, some planets have dangerous conditions, foreign diseases or inhospitable conditions. Therefore standards must be set in order to protect the lives of Theian Citizens in this new interstellar age.

1.No Planet that is determined to have a feature or anomaly that would endanger the life of a Theian should be colonziable I.This is included but not limited to: Dangerous Wildlife, Hostile Creatures, Untreatment disease or inhospitable conditions.

2.If a Planet is determined by the Science Division to be at a habitability level above 70% the planet may be colonized I.Any planet that the Republic wishes to colonize must first be authorized by a majority vote in Parliament

3.If a Planet has pre-FTL or pre-sentient life on it, the Planet can not be colonized

4. The creation of a new Government agency: The Colonial Expansion Bureau (CEB), in charge of managing colonization efforts and regulating the progress of colonial vessels and in-progress colonies. Once the colonization is completed, the colony is then under the administration of the planetary governor and local legislative body (should it exist).

-A new set of offices in Lanthea shall be built for this new agency, once resources permit for it. This bill is not retroactive, meaning it does not apply to planets already authorized to be colonized that may fall outside these standards


(Provisions 1-3 set the standards for our colonization, no colonizing primitives, pre-sentients, dangerous worlds and planets lower than 70% habitability. Provision 4 means build a an administrative office once we have 700 minerals)

We have encountered even more life out in the stars! A ship that has designs much like our science vessels has been found exploring the stars just like us! Down in the Grumium system this star-ship was found.

We have been hailed by the space station in the Tiblic system! A race of plant-like artist aliens live on-board the space station. They call themselves the Queptilium and they seek to make their art in peace. It is possible we will have to launch a diplomatic mission with these Queptiliums.

The alien science vessel from the Grumium system has also hailed us! The ship was crewed by a fungoid race calling themselves Poblein. They come from the Poblein League on the planet Padrog! They have closed their space to us and warned that we should never try and go through their claims. If we agree to that they promise to leave us alone. They seem highly suspicious towards us and ended communications quickly after their message. Diplomatic talks with them may prove difficult.

TEF releases an ad, campaigning for further expansion across the stars, now that the first colonies are underway.

Darius in his most recent speech warns the people of the alien threat outside our planet “People of this grand republic, do not be fooled by the centrist and anti-war scared parties, they know just as well as me that the Aliens we found in Padrog-vol have already insulted us and hate us. They have a larger space fleet than us and they hate other species. Us people need to realize that these are the factors that could cause us to be wiped from the face of this planet. The only party that is equipped and ready to protect, fight, and neutralize these threats is the ACP.

The FPN releases this campaign poster, promising more stability, safety and civility under their leadership.Margrave Leopold von Greifenfels exclaimed on a campaign rally: “Only by protecting and living our ideals can we call ourselves “Representatives”. We need to be virtuous and lead by example!”

Tomaso Delarosa, for the first time since his resignation, posts on his personal social media account "Even if as a retired Senator and Chancellor, I am still worried and invested in the wellbeing of our Republic. I have seen some good changes in the Senate since my resignation, but the Senate will have to build further on that constructive basis before it falls into its previous behaviour. Nonetheless, I see some good signs for the Republic. For example my good friend Karl Braun volunteered for the Presidency. I have gotten to know Senator Braun quite well in the past 10 years and when I say I truly believe he is fit for the task, I do not say so lightly. I hope my fellow Theian citizens think the same as I do and give Senator Braun a chance to lead our Republic to greatness, along with my former faction the Theian Outerspace Movement. Only two days after their statement Divitae Construction releases this ad. "People of the republic we implore you to vote for freedom and honor. The FPN is one of the only factions that hasn't fallen to personal insults unlike many of the other factions. Elroy steps on stage at a campaign rally and clears his voice "I am not going to bore this audience today with a long preachy speech about how I am the best because A and B, and I know that the general populous mainly sees me as 'that guy who was part of the UC scandal'. But I also know this, the last 10 years that this senate has been running has been a political disaster which has led to a very unsteady state of affairs leading into this election, with multiple parties changing leadership, merging, or even falling apart. In this unstable political climate I promise to bring stability in the form of a stronger president, a more resilient economy that doesn't fall prey to monopolies, and a new wave of exploration into space that doesn't overstretch that economy! Lux Gordan would soon be shown live on the EUL website for those who follow the party and cannot show up in person for the speech, He would be outside stationed on large stage with the back blocked off and out of view on top of a hill and currently is wearing white robes and the middle section of his head is slowly balding away. He has a bright smile on his face and his arms slowly open to a crowd of five hundred people.* "Welcome ladies and gentleman to this blessed day of the lord! Today he shines down upon me and you as I am now the new official face of the party! A true reward for my faithful service to the almighty whom I will thank everyday and night with prayer!" Lux gordan would then bring down his hands and give a little chuckle. "Of course i already have been doing that so i guess a better reward is to serve you my fellow devout followers of the faith! I am here to listen to your cries of help, love and curiosity!" Mr. Lux Gordan would yell out to the crowd who in return would only clap and cheer as a response. The President steps up to the podium at her conference "My friends and fellow citizens, thank you for joining me. We stand now in an era of greatness. Over the past ten years, our government has brought our entire Republic forward into our future place in the galaxy. In ten years, I helped keep the promise I placed before you ten years ago, and with the aid of the senate we have ended the mass slums across our planet and cleaned up the industrial wastelands that have polluted our environment. Welfare and education has been expanded for millions, if not billions, and now more than ever every Theian citizen has the opportunity to grow in society and achieve the great life they deserve. I would proclaim the first ten years of the 23rd century a massive success for our government and society as a whole. That is why, for my campaign for reelection, I have a new focus. We have secured ourselves at home, developed ourselves internally. Now we must focus on external growth, expansion into the stars and on other planets like our own. I promise for the next three years to be an increased focus to explore and secure the space around us, and put the first settlers on the ground on a new planet. We will go to Erasmadon, we will go to Ehsmyke, we will go to Guram and we will go to Unith! Our republic will take its place in the stars above. At a campaign rally Margrave Leopold von Greifenfels declares the following to the crowd assembled before him: “Many of you have been asking about our position towards the presidential election and whether or not we do endorse one of the candidates. To them I say the following: President Madelyn was luckily not directly involved in the scandals surrounding the factions of the senate that have transpired over the last decade. We believe this is due to her independence from any of the factions and this is why we from the Factionis Principibus Nationalibus wish to keep our President non-partisan! Therefore the FPN will hereby officially endorse all Independent candidates for the Presidency! The President, the head of our great nation, should only have to answer to the citizens of Theia alone, not to his/her party! A non-partisan head of state will ensure that one neutral and moderating influence will always remain! President Madelyn was a voice of reason and tried to moderate between the factions and keep the order in the senate over the last decade. While not always successful, she did an admirable job and should be commonderated for it! We believe any Independent candidate will bring the same prerequisites to the table and we will always prefer an independent candidate over anyone from any party! Parties belong in the Senate! They are part of the Legislative not the Executive! The Executive branch should only answer to the citizens of the Republic! Thank you for listening Ladies and Gentlemen. I promise YOU the Theian people that by 2020 we will begin our colonization and stable expansion to these new habitable worlds, worlds where the Theian people can be given a new opportunity, one where we can have minerals, alloys and credits for this republic and it's glorious people. The next week Alexander steps up on the stage the crowd claps. "I will announce that I am running for presidency to represent you, the Theian people. You know my agenda will be expansion for this term and I promise you, under the wings of liberty you will be not only protected but represented. We will build mining stations as we expand to gain resources and for the progress of the republic and it's glorious people. We will continue to reach out and grasp utopia and progress, for the betterment of the Theian citizen, a utopia with equality and freedom above everything else."

Senate Results of 2210

This election cycle saw the rise of new factions and the fall of old factions.The most notable of seat changes was NMC falling by more than 70 seats down to a mere 6 seats. The big winners were the ACP and the RL. Many citizens are concerned with the authoritarian faction rising through the ranks of the senate and fear for what might come.


The Presidential Results of 2210

The Presidential Elections came down to two rounds of counting as in the first round no candidate had the majority of the vote although Ilyssa Madelyn had a strong lead. After the counts were in, Dawn Visianov was in last place and we moved on to their second choice votes. After recalculating the new totals Ilyssa Madelyn has come out on top with a 54% majority!

The DLP after losing a majority of the seats has also merged with the CSL in order to better unite the left against the growing right. This brings CSL’s seat total to 110 seats making them the largest faction within the senate


A Majority Coalition Forms and a Chancellor is Elected
ACP, FPN, EUL, RL and GTU has formed a majority coalition with a total of 340 seats in the senate. With their votes they helped to elect FPN’s leader Leopold von Greifenfels, as chancellor.

With the factions of TOM, CSL, TEF, FPN, ACP, GTU, RL, EUL, SF and two independents, there were a total of 572 seats in session. Making the majority total 286. Many if not all the bills during this session passed or failed due to the majority coalition of FPN, ACP, RL, EUL and GTU. However during the voting, EUL did not agree with several coalition bills and after the senate session was over, they left the majority coalition.

Because Guram III is also a possible candidate for colonization, the TEF therefore proposes to send an expedition of scientists to the surface to lead a survey of the planet. Once the Guram-system is safely within our borders, they will be tasked with fully exploring the planet's surface and uncovering the secrets the planet's ecosystem might hold. This will help future colonization efforts and maybe also lead to discoveries that may benefit our technological advancements. Maintaining a single system between us and them when possible for the safety and security of our own people and to avoid provoking a conflict. Lux Gordan becoming governor of Erasmadon three to help make the colony grow and develop over time for one term limit unless he is voted back in by the population of the planet to reign for another term. Lux Gordan would be responsible for giving annual reports on the development of the colony and what goes on during administration such as finances, resources, population and civilian happiness. Lux Gordan will also be allowed to pick his colonial cabinet to help him manage the colonial development. Short term political gains were emphasized over the will of the people and governmental sustainability. The Theian Welfare Agency (TWA), although providing a critical service to many citizens, has been improperly managed and free from Senate oversight. Gross misspending and constant deficits call into question the reliability of the organization. Therefore, the RL, along with its coalition members, proposes a complete reorganization and restructuring of the government mandated economic model. This act would rollback many of the guidelines, regulations, and social policies enacted under the previous government in order to allow for the new government to address these issues at a time it determines is appropriate. These bills include the “Great Society Act” and ”Welfare Finalization Act.” The passage of this bill dictates that the Senate session of 2240 will address the suspended bills and their conditions if not done so before it. The republic after making contact with xenos down in the southern quadrants we have been told not to interfere with them by their leader blorp. Trust with these aliens are still at neutral terms so far so knowing if they will not interfere with our expansion in space is unknown. The initial scans entail that this galactic nation has a larger number of fleets than we do, but the accurate amount is unknown by government records. There are those in the senate who state we should not worry for they detest violence, but who say that such views will continue on for another 300 years. This amount of time can change a nation politically and the republic must stand at the ready to defend itself. The EUL proclaims that by 2220 that the republican fleet increases the number of ships it owns to 20 corvettes in total as we have the industry to afford such ships and can defend the republic incase their are other xeno nations in the galaxy stronger than the pobelin and are very clear on hostilities against our people. We know other life is out in the galaxy and not all nations can be friends so we must prepare for the day when enemies of the republic expand towards our borders. We also make sure though that during the construction of these ships that colonist ships have a priority always for the colonial worlds that way our people can still settle on new planets. (the republic must have a number of 20 corvettes total before the 2220 Election as military deterrent against possible hostile xenos.)

Survey Reports of 2210

Our republic has undergone many scientific discoveries over the first decade in space. All have been great benefits to the Republic and its people. Here is the reports of the most impressive breakthroughs by our scientist.

Our first colony ship is fully constructed and on its way into the stars! It is expected to reach the planet in the Erasmadon system by the end of 2211.

Another Alloy foundry has been constructed opening up more jobs to the citizens of the Republic, however it is over great economic concern if this was a smart move or not. Our minerals continue to be strained.

It has been a long time coming and lots have worked hard towards colonizing the new frontiers out in space. Today that hard work has paid off as the first colonist have set foot on Erasmadon! A truly historic day for the Republic.

Captain Goppelburg has reported a new world that would be suitable for colonization in the future but there was something slightly off about the surface.

Upon further scans it has come back that there is very hostile plant life on the surface of the world that could make colonization difficult.

Captain Edith has called in a red alert from the Ezak system! She was scanning one of the moons in the system when several entities warped into the system and opened fire upon the science vessel! No one on board was harmed as the ship emergency warped back to Republic space. All that the scans were able to pick up before the warp was this picture.

In other news, our scientists are hard at work and have developed new exo suits to help with many different tasks of workers!

I am sad to inform you that this iAAR is sadly discontinued, as we have faced some internal issues which made continuing this iAAR impossible. Despite how sad I am for this, I have something planned as an alternative (not in Stellaris this time) and if I am given permission, I will post the link here and hope to see all of you there.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2 iAARs in space, we seem to have mastered the technology of time travel. During our experimentations, we ended up in 19th century Prussia! An Eagle that is marching to something great. Although by going back in time we apparently messed up the timeline a tiny little bit, resulting in a slightly more democratic Prussia for its time in 1836.
