HELP!

HELP! I can't DoW Spain, and they have that fat juicy CoT right next to me. How can I change this? I need to attack them, to kick them out of the lands of the Haudenosaunee. I would just do a quick strike, burn their tps, take them for myself.But I cannot. I have the full 6 diplos, I know where the Spansih Capital is, but i cannot do anything. It says "Can't declare war until JANUARY 0"

Any suggestions?

Oh, and those gift to State, i have no idea. Never been this lucky playing as Russia, that's for sure. And that one where i got 2 conqs one after another, wow. That has never ever ever happened to me. Maybe the AI is having pity on these poor poor Haudenosaunee :D. Like how the heck did i get a National Bank? Wow :D I mean, wow! :D But not being able to DoW others sucks large. The bad thing is, I could take every province in NA, CA, and possibly SA, but cannot, because i cannot DoW. Talk about a hindrance to taking over the world(still think it is impossible as Iroquois, unless you gave them Latin tech for start.
Any suggestions?

[Hope people are enjoying the AAR. I think, after this, I play the Incas, BUT, give them colonial dynamism, hee hee :D BTW, about 90% of all that green? TPs. And I cannot get a CoT for myself:(]

March: Traders sent to strengthen our hold over Nainaimo and Olympia. The Great Council decides on an action that may have dire consequences. Starting in 1580, all provinces with Trading Posts will be replaced by colonies. This will be done to lessen the economic power the Southern Pale Faces have over us. And although this could seriously threaten our own trade network, it is decided that it must be done, for the safety of the Haudenosaunee.

1588-

Nothing of interest this year. The only thing decided is that, starting in Nainaimo, the colonists will be sent south, down our Western Coast, until they reach San Bernadino. Then they shall be sent through the Long Path, until they reach Matagorda, and then, north, filling in the lands of the Interior until there are a thousand Haudenosaunee villages.

Nainaimo greats her settlers in April

Dec 4: Due to exceptional demand for Fish in Atlixco, we receive 409d! This money is to be used immediately to colonize the rest of the West Coast

Settlers are sent to Olympia, Nehalem and Concho[cannnot colonize corridor, maybe becase San Bernadino is not adjacent to it? I am unsure]

1590-

Jan 1: settlers to Saltillo, and traders to Wichita and Campeche, to ensure that our settlers from Mohawk are not surprised by anyone.

Feb 3: Another Haudenosaunee village. This one in Concho. Hurrah!

March: Success in Olympia, Nehalem and Saltillo. More Haudenosaunee villages.

Nov 2: Our Friendship with the Tootns ends this day. Hmm, oh well

1591-

Concho will be built into a full fledged city before we continue with our dreams.

March: Concho is a barren place, and the group sent from Mohawk dies before they have a chance to settle. Such is the life of a settler. Another will be sent at the beginning of each year, until Concho is a full fledged city...

March 18: A name is given to these Southern Pale Faces, Spahnitch. They have tricked us into a Friendship with them. The Anglisch told us nothing of them until it was too late. Now the Haudenosaunee find themselves in a Friendship they do not want, or need.The Anglisch tricked them, and shall pay, at the appropriate date

March: Success in Concho. Soon, soon it will be a booming Haudenosaunee village. This is a good sign of things to come.

March:Concho grows ever larger. Very good indeed :D

March 1594: Again, Concho grows

Jan 1 1595:Great Cariboo, sick, lies asleep in his Long Hut. He shudders from time to time. Wise Beaver, one of the other Tribal leaders, sits by Great Cariboo, and ponders what will happen. Suddenly, Great Cariboo sits straight up, screams, and slumps back down, dead. Wise Beaver, distraught, gently closes the eyes of Wise Cariboo.Later he is named the new Chief. He gives Great Cariboo a proper burial befitting a Great Chief.

April 2: The Spahnitch are no longer our Friends, but Anglandt is. They truly admire us, or else why would they join with us so often?

June 2: One of our elders, staying in the Anglisch Capital, met a very strange man, an Ow stree ann. Our elder, thinking this man to be a native from a distant tribe, offer him gifts. This Ow stree ann was very inpressed. He thanked our elder alot[rel with Aus +25, yippe, that helps oh so much :D]


1596-1600

March 1596: Concho drwas more and more people to it. Wonderful! :D

March 1597: Concho is a full village now. Onwards, hopefully

Oct 7: Wise Beaver lives up to his name. Our Council reports staggering growth in Barter and Village improvements[+1 stab 1000 in inf/trade

Jan 1 1598: Pecos will be the next province to become a full Haudenosaunee village

March: Pecos begins life as a colony. It will be a jewel in the eye of the Haudenosaunee

March 1599: Pecos grows even larger.

Jan 1 1600: War! With the hated enemies of the Anglisch. The Franche. Yet what can we do? Nothing, it is feared. What to do? What to do?

March 1600: Pecos grows every year :D
1601-1610

March 1601: Pecos grows again

March 1602: Pecos remains the same. Well, next year i guess

July 1 1603: Our Shaman of the villages tell me that we can appoint tribal leaders to ensure better production in our many mnay villages[Mayors! Yes, thank god!:D]

July 1603-Aug 1604: Damn! The Franche have burnt several trading posts in the North. Nueltin, Chimo, gone, gone. We managed to beat them back, and slaughtered them all

Jan 1605: Tribal chiefs in Mohawzk and Ondaga

Jan 1606: Tribal Chiefs in Tuscarora and Oswego

July 1606: Our Shaman of Canoes tells the Council of a wondrous dream[Naval tech 3]

MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT!

Major Anouncement: I cannot continue like this. I cannot even offer France terms for peace. They just send wave after wave of stupid cavalry, and i cannot even make peace. It is impossible for me to continue. I will start a new game, BUT give the Iroquois Orthodox tech so they can actually build stuff. I thank those who have followed my first(rather feeble) attempt at an AAR. I heartily apologize for this. I just cannot accept this crap :mad: I mean, I can't build forts, I can't build mayors, I can't build most anything.It sucks the fun right out of everything.


Sorry bout that, i just am getting very fed up with the whole inability to do anything.
If people will allow me, I will try another, but make suitable adjustments to make the Iroquois actually playable.

I thank all those who have helped me with this. If someone can tell me if it is possible to change tech(from Pagan to Orthodox, muslim, whatever) in the middle of a game, then i will continue this. But until then i have to put this AAR on the backburner. Sorry again :(

Thanks :D BUT, it is impossible, i think, to give the Haudenosanee the ability to build anything. So, they cannot build anything at all.

only way to play them is choose another tag, like Oman or Korea, and switch em around, give them different relgion, like Shiite. But i hope, after my Ethiopia AAR, i can return to them.

Maybe you can rip the guts out of the fantasy setting, or tweak 'm better with a tool.

It really is too bad to see this one end before its' time. This AAR due to it's abnormal starting position gave it that hook of interest that everyone here likes to see. I hope you sort out the small details for your next distant land exploits.

Yup, gonna do another Iroquois AAR, but with some mods. Most notable, Oman has taken over for Iroquois(tags, shields, etc changed, thanks to Hjarg, the miracle worker :D ) And, they will be Shiite(I think Pagan forces you to be unable to any diplomacy, unless with other Pagan) I will keep exotic tech, or possibly Muslim(this will be one heck of a strecth, i know, but there will be some major ground rules, most notably no RM, unless offered(maybe even not then, although it could be possible, definitely happened in history. Also, I will be doing it as an addendum to my Ethiopia AAR, in that it will have same set up(Star Wars meets EU sorta thing, check out Ethiopia AAR to get better feel for it)and definitely no Royal Inheritences allowed. And, not sure what else. I have one question. Exotic Tech group cannot get their own CoT? Cause Ethiopia had to conquer hers :D Just curious.

But I won't let those fierce Haudenosaunee fall to the wayside I will do them again, but after my Ethiopia one(So I can tie in my Star Wars stuff. Ahh, just check it out, you will laugh, I guer on tee! :p )
