During the 1920s Canada's economy was at its peak. It had never been higher, he neighboor to the south, USA, was having an economic boom, which was increasing the enitire worlds economy. Unfortunantly, all good things must come to an end. And in 1929, Canada fell apart. It all happened at once, the Canadian government just could not control it. The Great Depression hit the world, and Canada, being next to America, was hit very hard.
This gave Dean Rouz his chance at power. Being young and hailing from Guatemala, he held radical new ideas to which he would save Canada from destruction. Using support from his connections in Guatemala, he was able to form a militia, and using Guatemalan ships, transported them to the Canadian shores. They arrived on the 16 of July in 1931, and came off as normal immigrants and tourists visiting from Central America. Before Rouz initiated this grand assault on Canada, because the idiots would not listen to his ideas, he would need a native Canadian to led the new government. He knew the Canadians would not accept him as the ruler of the country.
And so enters, Loius Napoleon, a Canadian who wants to give the nation of Quebec its freedom, ran into the man known as Dean Rouz. It sparked off a friendship that would topple an entire government, and bring about a new age.
Dean Rouz, meet Troky Mutt at a bar in Quebec City. He was a Russian immigrant who served in the Great War and fought the communists before fleeing to Canada. He was also a leading expert of dive bombing. The harsh man immediatly fell into the Guatemalans plan of a new government. It would bring Canada under a Czarist type government, or at least, thats what Mutt was told.
On August 5th, Troky Mutt led his militia forces against the Canadian military based in Ottowa. His militia was able to get a jump on ill prepared Canadian army, and inflicted heavy casualties with mortars from rooftops. Once the Canadian troops mobilized, Mutt realized it was time to retreat. Militia, could not stand up to fully trained soldiers, something Mutt had learned during the Great War.
So on August 5th, the Canadian revolution began.

My question to some of you more astute Canadian historians, is Louis Napoleon a real person (Aside from the French politician/king). I liberated Quebec in one of my Germany games and noticed him.

After hearing that Troky Mutt had launched an attack, Rouz was furious. He wanted to remove Mutt, the attacked wasn't planned until Guatemala could provide more military support. But since Troky had led the attack on the Canadian military, he was a hero. He had defied the odds and successfully attacked the Canadian standing army. Since he could not remove Troky from power without a recoil, he decided to promote Troky to General.
On August 6th, the Canadian government pleaded for aid from Britain. Canada being part of the commonwealth, was under British protection, so Britian was forced to intervene. Guatemala, fearing for her safety now that Britain was involved, withdrew from the actual fighting. It would continue to send aid as long as it could.
On August 8th, the Canadian government rallied the people behind its side of the war. Rouz knew that he would have to find some way to stop the British aid, or his chance of power would be lost. He took his plead to the American people. He promised the American people an ally to the north, and a staunch anti-communist, rather than a Socialistic Canada. He used Troky Mutt as the valiant anti-communist warrior, and told the world this was a war between communism and democracy.
On August 12th, when this was run in the newspapers of America, volunteers began lining up. Just the first day, over 3,000 Americans volunteered. It also gave Guatemala a reason to join the war on the side of the rebels. It re-entered the war, with its selfdefense protected by America. Britain and her allies were in a sticky situation, if they aided Canada, they promoted Communism, if they didnt give aid and Canada won, they would lose a valuable ally.
On August 13th, the British announced that the government would send no aid to Canada, but volunteers were welcome to go. Once the world heard this, it became a race to secure a possible new ally. Italy sent over a few submarines to the rebels.
On August 15th, a British transport carrier volunteers to Canada was sunk by a rebel submarine. This caused massive unhappiness in Britain, a netural ship was sunk. The British immediatly went to the United Nations for support to pass a bill against the rebels.
On August 16th, the rebels officially declared themselves the Dominion of Canada, and called the other Canadian government Soviet Canada. This sparked intense diplomatic santions against Canada, it was now viewed as the enemy. The Canadian government pleaded to the world that it was not Communist, but the world ignored them. Rouz had the world in his hands, and was manipulating the fear of Communism to gain power.
On August 18th, the Canadian military laid seige to Quebec City, the current capital of the Dominion of Canada. After three intense days of fighting the city was lost, and the Domain of Canada was forced to move its Capital elsewhere.
On August 19th, Troky Mutt led a valiant attack to free the oppressed people on Montreal. The battle lasted days, and the Canadian forces in Quebec City were forced to leave to aid the defenders of Montreal. Once reinforcements arrived, Mutt was forced to retreat, but it was a victory, Quebec City was once again part of the Domain.
On August 23rd, Napoleon declared the Domain of Canada illegal, and replaced it with the sovereign nation of Quebec. This infuriated Rouz, he had lost his power with a couple Canadian words. Now Napoleon was on top, and he was only second. Before he could do anything about it, Troky Mutt pledged his allegiance to Quebec, thus causing the entire, non-Guatemalan army to pledge its allegiance to Quebec. Rouz was forced to pledge his loyalty as well, Napoleon would once again rule.
On August 25th, the Paris Press was estatic. Quebec Lives! it read, the French rallied behind the French people of Canada. They offered aid to Quebec, and volunteers rallied to help the French nation.
On September 2nd, the first French volunteers arrived in Quebec. They numbered in the thousands, the Quebecians finally began to push back the Canadian military.
Troky Mutt realized that the time for a decisive battle was now. He built up the largest force of volunteers, and prepared to attack the Canadian captial. He would break the Canadian spirit, and end this war.
On September 7th, Mutt launched an all out assault on the City of Ottowa. 8,000 men ran towards the city under artillery and mortar cover. After three days of intense city fighting, the Canadian Capital lay in Quebec hands.
The Canadian spirit was broken, after only a month of fighting they had done nothing but lose. Over the remainder of the year, many Canadians deserted the military and returned to their crops. Quebec victories continued to pile up, and Troky Mutt became ever more popular with the people of both Canada and Quebec.
Finally on December 27th, the leaders of Canada met with Louis Napoleon and Dean Rouz. The Canadians formally recognized the nation of Quebec and signed a peace treaty giving Quebec its lands. Small skirmishes between bordering cities would continue for the next few months until the governments stepped in to stop it.
On April 3rd, 1932, the Guatemalan government and Quebec officially became allies. Dean Rouz's popularity shot up when this occured. The people always loved to have allies, no matter how strong.
In order to counter this, Louis Napoleon began improving relations with Italy. It built them a strong friendship, but Rouz was still more popular. Many people rallied behin Troky Mutt for the leader of the new government. But he flatly denied, he was a soldier, not a figurehead. He would leave the politics to the professionals and stick to what he did best, waging war.

On April 18th, the Canadian government breaks out into another Civil war. This time it is between the actual Communists and the democrates. This time Britain intervenes with over 30,000 troops. The Communist revolt is smashed before May and Canada begins to grow attached to Britain.
On May 3rd, the Quebec Government declairs was on Canada again, saying that they are harming Quebec citizens living in Canada. Britain cannot aid Canada due to the fear of total war, and Canada breaks its ties with Britain. It removes itself from the Commonwealth, and because of popular support, changes to a Left-wing Government. The new Canadian government offers peace to Quebec and Rouz accepts and gains some more territory from the deal.
On June 1st, Quebec marches its troops into the British held territory in North America. Britain is stunned, this tiny nation taking our land? But, parliment votes that it is not worth going to war over that small amount of land. Besides, Canada is no longer our friend, so we have no reason to be over their. This increase their realaion with Quebec greatly. Louis Napoleon takes credit for this diplomatic victory, and his popularity even surpases that of Troty Mutt.
December of 1932, the Canadian government officially turns Communist. While not as harsh as the Soviet Communism, it is still Communism. The United States break their diplomatic agreements with Canada and grows very close to Quebec, as Quebec is looking to be their new neighboor to the north.
In 1933, the world stood in awe as Hitler rose to power in Germany. The Quebec's support Hitler and saw this as an opportunity to fix their own government. By fixing a fake Communist revolt, Napoleon was able to become dictator of Quebec. He appointed Rouz as his second in command, and thus the nation of Quebec became a fascist government. The third in the world.
