we also need to consider what has been so far, so as to make our own contributions better

back a few pages there were some Leader pics I had posted, some got done, and some did not. If you could finish those, that would be a step in the right direction. ;) :p

The main thing that was done since you and Wannabe Tatar last posted was I got most of the bugs out, a lot of the AI's done, a score of events, mainly American, and Dominik contributed some outstanding material for Poland.

It was with Dominik's contribution that I realised that the Age of Revolutions could be so much better if it was given a VIP treatment, or complete revision. And I hope lovers of that era will contribute stuff for their favorite nations. :)

Technologies...just ideas....

all infatry tactics and possible techs etc...or things that could be included...we'd need to find what kind of timeline we'd need for the techs..

Oblique Order - Fred.the Greats preferred tactic, Forces focus on one enemy flank and attack
March Column - mass of men, numbers, firepower low, defence low, goo mele
Attack Column - Hybrid of Line and column, firwpoer, but used skirmishers
Mixed Order - Some units in Line, other behind in Column (high firepower of line, with speed/mele of column)
Open Order - spread out, mainly used for skirmishers/cavalry, rapid movement in rough terrain
Squares - Defence high against Cavalry, slow, static

Flying Battery - Speedy Artillery lays down barrage, then re-deloys to another part of the field
Grand Battery - Mass artillery on one spot (usually the enemies centre)

Levee en Masse - Conscription, higher manpower etc

those are some good things, thanks...

i also see you are from the Canary Island...my father comes from Gran Canaria....lives there now too. :)

also, for a napoleonic flavour..here is some music, which could be used for the game possibly...dont know...we should try and keep to a bit of this military music and more or less the majority of it being the best compsers of the 1790's-1820's...

Some people from the Spanish Forum wants to join this Mod, have a lot of ideas.

If we want to do such a huge mod we'll need a lot of people cuz the events and tech are so large, is the most trouble era ever, even some people in the Spanish Forum told me that it will be better asking Paradox for a new Victoria : Napoleon than creating a mod like this  .

@ No, most of my work was on the American and minor power fronts. But I did manage to get the War of 1812 event chain to fire. To me that was a BIG step that needed to be accomplished. But if the help and interest remains I will begin working on the Nappy portion again. Also I did get it up through the second coalition and the Consular Coup, so not really far from the Treaty of Amiens.

I also have a lot of the Events leading up to the 1805 and 1806 campaigns. Including Prussia's 'administering' of North Germany and when France conquers the German Minors their allying with France, required for the Confederation of the Rhine and dissolution of the HRE chain I have in mind.

I guess you could say I had jumped around a lot in the event creation. :p

Kaiser, no worries about the leader pics, almost all of the important ones are done, mainly the flavor pics for countries need to be done. :)

Outstanding for the research, What I would like for you to research, if possible, is culture techs. I know that will be boring, but for techs that section is almost bare of content. :p

Yes its for V:R. It took me quite a while to get it compatible, so I do not know if I can reconvert it back to Vanilla Vicky. Sorry about that.

@Timanfaya, Those event pics are outstanding! If you wish to help I have a LOT of events that could use their own pics, Like the Jay Treaty, the US-French naval war, then all the events for the Nappy Wars done so far. Be warned, there are a LOT of events. So if you are interested please let me know. :D

I have a forum already set up for the mod on my website. Just look in my signature for the link to it. And all are welcome to join. The Spanish OOB was a real pain for me to track down. But I think I have it straight. But any input by folks from Spain who could confirm it for me would be outstanding!

Cheers, Thorgrimm

@Kaiser, great, I look forward to your input once again. :D

@Timanfaya, outstanding! Below are some events that need pics. I will give the name and the description and you do the pic however you see fit, since those Napoleonic ones you have already done are great. :)

I will start with the French.

name = "The Cisalpine Republic"
desc = "After having defeated all their enemies in Italy, the French set up the Cisalpine Republic, using the lands taken from Modena and Venice, this would stay as it was till 1802 when it bacame the Italian Republic and then in 1805 the Kingdom of Italy."

Vienna had to reaffirm its commitment to the Treaty of Campo Formio, while France paid compensation for dispossessed Rhine princes."

I figure this is a good enough beginning list of events. Also I imagine some of these could probably share a pic, but each having their own would be better. :D

Treaty of Amiens (1802)
Signed by the British and French, the Austrians, Russians and Naples had surrendered by then.
UK
gave back Cape colony and Dutch West Indies to Holland
Withdrew from Egypt
Evacuated Malta
ceded Trinidad and Tobago and Ceylon

French
Withdrew from the Papal States

Why the Third coalition came about (1803)

British blockade of France due to the Haiti issue
Napoleon thougth French ships were being borded and search by the British

The Third Coalition formation
May 1803 - Britain and France at war
December 1804 - Sweden and Britain join in alliance
April 1805 - Russians join in alliance with Brtian against France
Austria joined several months after Russia

Kaiser, good stuff dude. And looking at that list I may have to change the Batavian Republic formation event, as it now stands I have never seen the AI English take the cape colony or Ceylon. What I am thinking is to reflect what the Brits did historically I will have the Dutch have an event where the Brits take the Cape colony, Ceylon, Singapore, and Guiana from them, that way when the Treaty of Amiens fires we can give the stuff right back to them. :p Only way I see for the AI English to ever take those places.

Thoughts anyone?

do you want me to send you the event pics via forum, msn or p.m?¿

If you have MSN I would prefer that method, since I am on most of the day. I will send you a PM with my name for MSN. If not, then email would be sufficient.
