Lighthearter: :D I gotta get to Berlin and teach him a lesson, the lazy bastard. And also take over his cable TV network.

Of course, you have to invent cable TV first.

Building greater Finland.
Let's hope they reach Berlin soon.

I think the Finnish flag would look nice atop the Reichstag.

...And here's world news today. This is the JBC, and I am Hideo Terauchi, bringing you today's world news. Brazzaville still stands, with the French defenders dug in so deep in their trenches that the Germans still consider a full frontal assault suicide. According to our sources, the Wehrmacht is not very well equipped for jungle warfare, which the French are. In other news, Belgium and Free France have made a joint declaration to fight until the last man in Africa. According to a calculation made by the IJA, every French or Belgian soldier would have to kill at least 291 German soldiers if the French or Belgians are to stand a chance.

The Americans, led by well known General Douglas MacArthur, have made significant gains in Spain. According to Gen. MacArthur, the Americans will liberate Paris next month. An interesting statement, considering the fact that Paris was bombed with the IJA's new weapon, the hydrogen bomb. We doubt Gen. MacArthur will find much to liberate where Paris used to stand.

A Chinese army has recently occupied Stalingrad. With this city, our side now controls much of the river Don, making transports of supplies much easier for us.

The Japanese, Uzbekistani, Chinese and Indian commanders in the Middle East have reported that ”all German resistance in the region of Mesopotamia has been eliminated.” However the Mongolian (Mengkukuo) military claims to be pursuing Germans around Basrah.

And that was all for today, long live the Emperor and may all of Asia stand together, each endeavouring, all achieving.

20-1.jpg

June 5th

...Which leads us to today's world news. This is Terauchi of JBC, bringing you the truth, unlike those bastards at ”Axis Radio” or ”Radio Free Earth.”

Chinese forces claim to have seen the ruins of Moscow, but General Ma Hongui has until now refused to send any troops into the ruins, believing it to be dangerous. This, of course, is not true. The mystical deaths that have plagued the Americans after the conquests of Lisbon and Madrid, have nothing to do with the bombs. They die because they are not an Asian people.

In other news, Co-Prosperity Sphere troops have encountered the Finnish forces in Segezha. Together with the Finns, they established a blockade of the town of Archangelsk. Soon the Afghani armies of the north will arrive, and crush the desperate defenders of Archangelsk in the process.

In the Ukraine region, Chinese Field Marshal Wei Lihuang started the ”Kharkov Offensive” a few days ago. He estimates that his forced will capture Kharkov in one week under perfect conditions. If everything goes according to plan, he will also extend the offensive until the end of June, trying to capture Kiev.

That is all for now, this is Terauchi of the JBC, signing off. Long live the Emperor, Asia forever!

20-2.jpg

June 12th

...And yesterday's surprise attack on Damascus, by the IJA Helicopter Corps, was conducted flawlessly. The Syrian government was captured, forced to sign unconditional surrender and arrested for crimes against humanity.

In the Ukraine, Chinese Field Marshal Wei Lihuang recently claimed that he ”could see Kharkov.” This is good news indeed, and hopefully by the end of the month, Kiev will be liberated by his glorious army.

Marshal of Finland Mannerheim recently announced his plans of an offensive around Ladoga and over the Svir River, to capture Leningrad and its immediate surroundings, and ultimately liberate Estonia. He also announced that the ”Stavanger Offensive,” an attempt to force the last German forces in Norway to surrender, has been called off due to unexpected difficulties with communication.

In South America, the battles are intensifying. Most of the war so far has been fought on Peruvian ground, but the Venezuelan and Colombian army have recently laid siege to Quito, the capital of Peru. Venezuelan high command promised results soon, declining Japanese offers to help.

This is Terauchi of JBC, signing off. Long live the Emperor and long live the Co-Prosperity Sphere of Greater Asia! Together we aspire, together we achieve.

20-3.jpg

June 29th

And here's today's world news, brought to you by JBC. Sadly, Chinese Field Marshal Wei Lihuang was forced to call off the assault on Kiev yesterday because of logistical problems. ”As soon as my armies get their supplies, the offensive will continue,” he promised.

The Uzbeki, Indian, Pakistani and Kazakh joint offensive into Turkey was also yesterday joined by troops from Primorsk, Tibet, Afghanistan and Mengkukuo. According to the Indians, ”the Axis will be long gone from the Anatolia by August.”

In other news, Chinese troops laid siege to Smolensk yesterday. The defenders of the city are, according to the Chinese, not Germans. According to the Chinese, they are Russians, or some other Slavic people. This is proof of how desperate the Wehrmacht is, yet they can never match the strenght and bravery of Asian soldiers.

In the north, the Finnish offensive to capture Leningrad has failed, but they succeeded in crossing the Svir river, and are currently moving in to capture Novgorod. After that they say they have to move west to encircle Leningrad. Marshal of Finland Mannerheim also announced that in July the ”Stavanger Offensive” will continue.

That is all, citizens. This is Hideo Terauchi, signing off. Long live the Emperor, it is Asia's destiny to conquer the world, by reason or by strenght!

20-4.jpg

July 14th

...And here's the world news of today, brought to you by Hideo Terauchi of JBC. A significant German army in Spain has been forced to surrender. The mobile American forces surrounded the Germans in the city of Valencia, and after an intense assault yesterday, the Germans surrendered. Tanks are a common sight on battlefields where the USA fights, this only proves that they are as weak as the Germans. Real warriors don't need to rely on those machines to win.

Yesterday, the Finnish government declared victory in Norway, ending the ”Stavanger Offensive” as the last German Army in Scandinavia surrendered. With the ”Stavanger Offensive” completed, the Finnish Army announced a new operation, a new assault on the city of Leningrad by August.

Field Marshal Phibunsongkhram of Siam has recently declared his intentions to invade Palestine and ultimately, push the Italians out of the Middle East. Indian and Chinese leaders have promised to support him.

IJA High Command has taken control of an enormous amount of Asian troops, aiming to have Asian armies cross the Dnieper by August, and capture Kiev in early August.

Yesterday, the Kempeitai (Military Police) stormed a ”Radio Free Earth” broadcasting station in London. However, only a few RFE employees were caught in the arrest, and their charismatic leader, Winston Churchill, was nowhere to be found. Also, despite the destruction of the broadcasting station, ”Radio Free Earth” could still be heard in England, though with some static in the eastern regions.

That is all for today, people. Long live the Emperor, long live Japan, conquered by no enemy!

20-5.jpg

August 11th

...Today Field Marshal Phibunsongkhram of Siam executed his ”Palestine Offensive.” Reports of engagements with Italian troops have been frequent. Italian losses so far are estimated at around 2400 while Asian losses are insignificant. Together with the Siamese army, Tibetan, Burmese, Vietnamese, Malay, Indian, Tajiki, Pakistani, Kyrgyz and Indian troops are part of the offensive.

Meanwhile, the offensive to push the Axis out of the Anatolia is still going on. The leaders in charge claim that the situation is under control, despite a few delays. They remain confident of victory in Anatolia by September.

Yesterday, the Finns announced the good news that the Axis forces in Leningrad were in full retreat and that they had captured the most vital parts of the city. Our northern allies will resume their advance into Estonia without delay.

The Battle of Kiev is still raging on, and is not likely to end before mid-September, according to Prime Minister Hideki Tojo. However, Tojo is certain that the city of Smolensk will fall any day now.

And that was all for today, this broadcast was brought to you by Hideo Terauchi of the Japan Broadcasting Company. Long live the emperor, long live Japan, all the world under one roof!

20-6.jpg

September 1st

And here's some fresh news from Europe. De Noyan's ”Crimea Offensive” was successful, securing the southern flank of the Chinese armies in southern Ukraine.

The Finns are still liberating Estonia, recent reports claim that Tallinn has been freed from German oppression. Marshal of Finland Mannerheim has expressed his wish to be the one to free Denmark from Axis oppression. According to Finnish High Command, an offensive is being planned.

Nothing new from the Battle of Kiev, according to present commanders the situation in Kiev is hopeless, as both the Axis soldiers and the civilian population fights our forces and does anything to delay our inevitable victory.

Siamese Field Marshal Phibunsongkhram yesterday reported that he could see Tel Aviv. We expect reports of his successful conquests later today.

The ”Anatolia Offensive” has yet again been delayed. The Axis forces remain dug in in the Dardanelles and the Bursa region.

President Huey Long of the USA has recently announced that ”Europeans in the American-occupied zones will, if they wish to, be granted safe and free transport to the USA.” Prime Minister Tojo has yet to make an official announcement regarding the matter, but Foreign Minister Shigenori Togo has said that ”if President Long wishes to to this, we have no right to stop him. We have granted him too much freedom. Though, I am certain that he will change his mind when 100 million Europeans suddenly expect free and safe shipping to America.”

And that was all for today. This news broadcast was brought to you by JBC, and I am Hideo Terauchi. Long live the Emperor, may his reign last forever.

20-7.jpg

September 18th

This is Terauchi of JBC, and here's the world news of today. The ”Anatolia Offensive” has finally been completed. Plans are right now being made about crossing the Cyclades into Greece and crossing the Bosphorus into Bulgaria.

Offensives in the southern Ukraine resume, with the loss of Kiev, the Axis forces started withdrawing and are in full retreat as we speak.

The ”Palestine Offensive” continues as planned. Field Marshal Phibunsongkhram reported that he is currently trying to encircle Gaza and Jerusalem, cutting off enormous Italian armies in the process.

The Finns have liberated all of Estonia and have stopped advancing, due to reinforcement issues. Their planned ”Copenhagen Offensive” has also been called off due to a great Axis fleet around Copenhagen. The IJN tried to use the Kiel Channel to get to the Baltic Sea, but was forced to withdraw due to artillery fire from Axis forces.

Field Marshal Patton in southern Spain yesterday started an all-out assault on Gibraltar, which has been under siege for almost 6 months now.

That was the end of this news broadcast, I am Hideo Terauchi of JBC. Long live the Emperor, everything for Asia!

20-8.jpg

October 6th

This is Hideo Terauchi of the JBC, bringing you the news. With Gibraltar in allied hands, Admirals Mikawa and Yamamoto were called to the Mediterranean to clear out the Italian fleets who are disturbing our attempts to cross the Bosphorus and the Cyclades. Mikawa and Yamamoto are expected to arrive some time next month, after rebasing in Tel Aviv.

Huge offensives are being carried out in the Baltic and Ukraine region. Axis forces are in full retreat, and the Romanian border has already been crossed. Asian losses are insignificant.

In Palestine, Marshal Phibunsongkhram reports that Jerusalem has been successfully surroundered and that the Axis forces in the encircled area has surrendered. Emperor Hirohito has announced that if Arabs in Africa and the Middle East rise up against the Axis Powers and do not oppose the Co-Prosperity Sphere of Greater Asia, they will be granted a great Pan-Arabic state. After all, they too are an Asian people.

American forces under General MacArthur carried out a small offensive over the Vichy border recently. MacArthur announced that he will carry out an offensive designed to destroy Petain's Vichy France completely later this year.

Sadly, we must part now. This broadcast was brought to you by the JBC and I am Hideo Terauchi, signing off for today. Long live the Emperor, long live Asia, one, great and free!

20-9.jpg

October 27th

...And here's the world news of today. The ”Baltic Offensive” has been extended to include the Belarus region. The offensives against Romania resume flawlessly.

Afghani and Mongolian forces trying to cross the Cyclades have yet again been stopped by Italian fleets. Admiral Mikawa and Yamamoto have promised to come to their aid as soon as possible.

The Finnish army has withdrawn from the Eastern front, and are now resting. They say they will regroup in Malmö later for a huge offensive to liberate Denmark.

Gaza has been encircled and the enemy forces there have surrendered. Prime Minister Tojo has sent his congratulations to Marshal Phibunsongkhram, and requested that he resumes his offensive and crosses the Suez Channel.

”Radio Free Earth” broadcasts in most of eastern Asia have stopped for unknown reasons. The Philippines is the only place where their treacherous propaganda can still be heard.

That was all for today, people. This is JBC, bringing you the truth, as always. Long live the Emperor, long live Asia, faithful to ourselves, together ahead!

20-10.jpg

November 14th

This is Hideo Terauchi of JBC, bringing you the world news of today. Yesterday, General Douglas MacArthur started ”Operation Canned Sardines,” his huge offensive aimed at destroying Vichy France. Initial engagements have ended in MacArthur's favour, and Patton promised to provide reinforcements as soon as possible. US forces also recently occupied Sardinia and are invading Corsica later this week.

The huge offensives over the whole Eastern front have stopped for a while, due to logistical problems. The exception being the Romanian front. Chinese and Mongolian forces advance on Bucharest as we speak.

Thanks to the aid of Admirals Mikawa and Yamamoto, the huge Chinese, Indian, Uzbeki, Afghani, Mongolian, Pakistani and Kazakh forces were able to cross the Bosphorus recently. The invasion of Bulgaria is progressing rapidly and the IJA Helicopter Corps have been sent to Bulgaria to aid the invasion army.

Marshal Phibunsongkhram is currently crossing the Suez Channel. Local Arabs are providing help by sabotaging Axis equipment and communications or providing boats for the Asian forces. There have also been reports of firefights in Egypt between Arab nationalists and the Axis Powers.

That is all. Long live the Emperor, long live Asia, one people, one spirit.

20-11.jpg

November 26th

Good day, listeners. This is JBC with Hideo Terauchi and here are the world news of today. Marshal Phibunsongkhram has recently crossed the Suez Channel, almost at the same time as American forces landed on the shores of western Morocco. The Americans have proceeded to capture the town of Casablanca and are now rallying and setting up a base for their invasion of Africa there. This means that the Axis is now surrounded in Africa as well, with the Americans in the northwest, Asians in the northeast and the remnants of the Allies in central Africa still holding their own.

”Operation Canned Sardine” proceeds as planned, US General MacArthur claims that if all goes according to plan it will all be over for the Vichy government in about two weeks.

IJA High Command has promised that the offensives on the eastern front will continue in the following week, as soon as Romania surrenders.

The Afghanistani General Daoud has taken control of the ”Cyclades Campaign” and is optimistic about an offensive into Greece, if he can get the support of the IJN. Admiral Yamamoto has yet to respond to General Daoud's request.

Long live the Emperor, may his reign last a thousand years!

20-12.jpg

December 11th

Hello again, my good Asian comrades! This is Hideo Terauchi of JBC, bringing you todays world news! The Americans have advanced quickly, occupying great parts of Morocco. US Marines have also landed in eastern Libya, and even advanced into the western parts of Egypt. This has greatly upset Marshal Phibunsongkhram, who is now worried that the Americans might not cede their parts of occupied Africa to the planned Pan-Arabian state. President Huey Long has not yet made an announcement regarding the matter.

US Marines also occupied Crete and Malta yesterday, at the initiative of General Patton. General MacArthur's invasion of Vichy France has been delayed because of German and Italian reinforcements to the Vichy government. MacArthur, however, is still confident of his eventual victory.

The eastern front offensives have, without exceptions, been successful. The offensives, started following last week's Romanian surrender, stretch from Bulgaria into former Polish territory.

Admiral Yamamoto and Afghanistani General Daoud has recently completed the ”Cyclades Campaign” and are right now drawing up plans for an invasion of Greece. All the forces in the Cyclades will be used in the invasion of Greece, except for six Afghani divisions who will be left behind to guard the Anatolia.

That was all for today, this news broadcast was brought to you by the JBC and I am Hideo Terauchi. Long live the Emperor and people... Always remember this: We are Asians, first, foremost and always, and our policies will be dictated in Asia, and not by those diabolical white Europeans.

20-13.jpg

December 20th

...And here's the world news of today. Bulgarian forces outside the capital, Sofia, were assaulted repeatedly yesterday, and are now in full retreat. With the fall of Sofia, Bulgaria is expected to surrender. After Bulgaria's surrender, IJA High Command plans a campaign against Hungary.

American forces have made significant gains in Morocco. Apparently their ”Mechanized” corps are making themselves useful. However they certainly can not be as good as the IJA Helicopter Corps.

Afghanistani General Amoud has conquered Athens from the Axis Powers. He personally thanked Admiral Yamamoto for the ”invaluable help” he and the IJN provided during the ”Cyclades Campaign” and the invasion of Attica.

Recently, Admiral Yamamoto expressed his dislike for the American involvement in the war, stating it is ”an Asian war” and that he wishes to meet President Long as soon as possible. Today Prime Minister Tojo suggested a meeting between the ”Anti-Axis Coalition” where representants of the USA and representants of the Co-Prosperity Sphere of Greater Asia will meet to discuss what to do with post-war Europe. A response from President Long is expected before next year.

And that was today's world news, long live the Emperor, and long live Asia! Everything can be handled, even the Axis.

20-14.jpg

January 1st

Happy new year to each and every one of you, and here are the world news, brought to you by JBC. US General MacArthur's forces in France are struggling with the desperate Vichy and German forces. His armoured divisions were unable to break through the enemy lines at Bordeaux last week, and are recovering right now, while awaiting reinforcements. Meanwhile Patton is continuing his lightning fast advance in Morocco, and the American invasion of Libya shows no signs of failing either.

Aghanistani General Amoud has been cut off in Greece, however Admiral Yamamoto has promised to arrange supply shipment for his forces.

Yesterday Bulgaria announced their surrender, leaving the way to Yugoslavia open for our forces. The Indian Army High Command wants to focus on a quick advance through former Yugoslavia and then an assault on Hungary from the south.

Prime Minister Tojo has announced that he has received a reply from the Long government of the USA. Huey Long suggested a meeting in Washington, although Tojo wanted the meeting to be in Tokyo. According to Tojo, he replied to this that he would like the meeting to be somewhere in Europe instead.

That is all for today, long live the Emperor, long live Japan, long live Asia. All the world under one roof.

KaiserMuffin: Aye, tis their doom.

Karaiskandar: Yep, you can count on that. Well, unless I get stuck in Africa or something.

Enewald: 150-160 divisions probably, can't remember right now.

Nikolai: Oh, I don't know. Why should we proud superior Asians let those arrogant Americans keep those parts of Europe? If diplomacy fails... we can always use... the bomb... :D

Also, all of you. Sorry I haven't updated in a long time, I've been busy a lot. I'm very sorry but I will probably be very busy in the near future too, so don't expect me to update too often :(

Hello everybody :D Sorry for the delays, I really haven't had time to play much. Here's another update for you all, hopefully you won't have to wait a month for the next one :eek:o

Oh yeah, and here's some cool music to listen to while reading this one
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7yKWCBEmp0
Listen to the lyrics, very suitable for this update.

The Axis Powers had failed.

Free France and Belgium were still holding their own in Central Africa. The Co-Prosperity Sphere of Greater Asia was expanding it's territory westwards every day. At the expense of the Axis. Even the USA, with its relatively small army, had managed to conquer vast territories from the Axis.

The German Nazis who used to be so proud and confident, were now a bunch of drunkards, hiding in bunkers under the irradiated wasteland that used to be Berlin.

However, Europe fought on. Germany, Italy, Hungary and Slovakia had signed an agreement that nobody was to make a separate peace with their enemies. There was even rumours among the Axis Powers that Portugal's government had survived, and garrisoned the Azores to the point where conquering them was a military impossibility.

The Axis had depleted its manpower long ago, and younger and younger soldiers started being accepted into their armies. The experienced elite divisions who invaded Poland in 1939, or France in 1940, were gone. And nothing could ever bring them back to life. The Wehrmacht would never again be the elite army it once was.

Torun.jpg

The Battle of Torun, in spring 1951, showed both the Asians and the Europeans how depleted and desperate the German Armies were. Torun was the last chance for Germany to hold their own in Poland. The next battle would be fought on German soil. Sacred ground.

On the 20th of March the same year, American General MacArthur celebrated. The Vichy government had signed unconditional surrender.

March20th-Vichy.jpg

The news came as a shock to many Asian generals. Something had to be done quickly, as the way to Rome was now open for MacArthur. The Japanese General Adachi, who commanded the IJA Helicopter Corps, came up with the solution.

March26th-LaSpeziaDash.jpg

The La Spezia Dash, a fast march from Venice to La Spezia, stopped MacArthur, who already had moved his forces into Genoa. However, with the Wehrmacht and retreating Italian divisions to the north and the entire Italian Army to the south, General Adachi wasn't very optimistic about marching straight from La Spezia to Rome. Instead Admiral Yamamoto, who feared an American invasion of Sicily, suggested an amphibious landing somewhere in southern Italy.

March26th-LandinginFoggia.jpg

Burmese, Vietnamese, Pakistani, Malay, Indian, Siamese and Afghani divisions, brought straight from Greece, landed close to the town of Foggia in southeastern Italy. Their path would not be easy, but it was necessary.

TheUnion.jpg

This union of nations was led by the experienced and famous Afghani General Daoud.

ConqueringNaples.jpg

The force was tasked with conquering Naples, and keeping the Americans who had landed on Sicily off the Italian mainland, and ultimately conquering Rome.

Napoli.jpg

General Daoud knew that Monte Cassino was unguarded by the Italian Army, and that conquering it could prove the key to opening the road to Rome. He sent 4 Burmese divisions into the mountains, while the Pakistani and Vietnamese divisions conquered the southernmost part of Italy.

TowardsMonteCassino.jpg

Meanwhile a big part of the force was sent north along the east coast of Italy to secure the eastern side of Monte Cassino and to link up with the Asian forces stationed in Bologna.

SouthernItalySafe.jpg

12 Indian divisions were sent to link up with the forces in Bologna, while the rest of the Indian, Pakistani and Siamese divisions stayed to guard the east side of Monte Cassino.

OverMonteCassino.jpg

When the Burmese divisions finally had conquered Monte Cassino, the push towards Rome began. Perugia and Florence also had to fall before Rome.

SurroundingRome.jpg

With Rome surrounded, the final assault from all directions began.

FallofRome.jpg

The Italian forces in Rome were unable to hold the lines, and were pushed back repeatedly, until the last soldiers surrendered in the very place where forum romanum used to be. Almost simultaneously, Hungary and Slovakia surrendered to the advancing Asian armies in eastern Europe.

Victory.jpg

Italy was now gone, and it was all thanks to the men who fought under General Daoud. His multinational force, consisting of divisions from Afghanistan, Burma, Vietnam, Malaysia, India, Siam and Pakistan, had succeeded. But their march north did not stop in Rome or Florence. It wouldn't stop until they were far into Germany.

Summer51.jpg

Perhaps... It wouldn't stop until they were in Berlin.

Well after the victory against the Germans the AAR should be over IMHO.
No real ennemies left.

Good job on capturing Rome. Onto Berlin.

The experienced elite divisions who invaded Poland in 1939, or France in 1940, were gone. And nothing could ever bring them back to life.

Unless you use the "manpower" cheat.

SovietAmerika: I usually have a lot of fun redrawing the map of Europe :D

Karaiskandar: I'm afraid conquering Africa is going to take ages...

Nathan Madien: Thanks! But keep it quiet, please? Hitler might hear you :p
