Quick question. How do I get rid of the popup at the beginning that says that countries have been annexed?

Remove the tags of the unnecessary countries from the selectable = { [lotsa tags] } part of the .eug file.

I know that probably no one is reading this, but I'll post anyway.


Now that finals are over, work has fully began again. I am now currently working on China. I have came across a problem however. I have found that I am in fact not using many TAGS. You may say that this is a good thing, but it is not. Mods can be ruined by having to many big nations. If anyone has any ideas for a country, please post it. If it is good and plausible in this timeline, I will consider adding it. If anyone has ideas to where I can place nations, please post that as well.

First off, congrats on your finals being over.
Secondly, if you do intend to use the awesome E3 map. then you should get your project over to it as soon as possible and then continue with it.

Thirdly, i haven't tried your very neat sounding mod yet, but i read where you were looking for things to do, like canada. It sounds like your mod starts in Europe. If that is true, then i'd suggest that you finish one continent before you start on another one. That way people have a continent to play as you are getting the next one set up.

TO me it sounds like you should have done europe first, then the ottoman area, then worked on Canadian Civil war. That is because seeing as you asked the people following you mod if they could help you with the Canadian civil war, you could be working and updating the other places whilst they were gathering any knowledge about the Canadian civil war .

This is just an organisational frame work that would work and make your work a bit more efficient. It should also make what you're doing less stressful and you wont get burned out fast :)

If you need any help in renaming anything in the E3 map, I will help you do that. I did finish the naming of a few provinces for the E3 map when it had been finished. You can confirm this with novapaddy when he gets back on here.

Hey Tera, You DO need to use the correct name for your mod when u decide to upload it. You can't just upload "mod copy". we all have a mod or mods folder. It is the job of the mod creator to name your project. :)

SO i take it that you want this creation of yours to be called "Rise and Fall" yes? :)

First;y, thank you for the kind words. Working on Europe first would probably be the best idea, but as you see, I kind of worked all over. This is because I put anything I could think of.

It is still called "Mod-Copy, because iit is not done. That is just my working name for the file. I will rename it for the next version.

Hey, would you have any ideas as to stopping the annexation at the start of the game. I have already removed these countries from the playable countries, but it changed nothing.
i would suggest that you look into any coding from your base game that you are using for something that would suggest that one country is able to annex another at a certain time. I know that's a general answer, but i haven't had time to try your game. I test for star wars games on sins and on EAW-FOC and summer time, as you can imagine, is my busiest time to test game mods.

It might take me up to 2 days to reply to you.

Also, i'm not super familiar with DH coding I've just played the DH and AoD and hoi2 since Hoi2 came out and i've picked up a few things. :)

If you have removed the "playables" and you still have the bug, then it has to be a part of the base game/mod that you are working with's annexation code.

hehehe, Yes Tera, all those annexations are from what you wrote in your timeline at the beginning of your thread for this mod of yours. They are all supposed to happen

Now as you get better at modding, you can either still have those Annexation events happen or have civil wars all crop up in those areas of the world.

You do have one major problem that i can see for your starting period and that is that there isn't ANY researchables at all except for 3 naval things before 1910 when the player has other things to research. SO what is the mod about? we don't have another war until the first WW in 1914 or so. SO what else do we do besides the Canadian civil war?

I would suggest that maybe you let that Qing Dynasty declare war on the areas it wants to Annex and so possibly those that the ottomans want to annex at the beginning. But then u have those area annexed before the game's beginning time period.

The mod starts great but there is really nothing to do at the beginning.
