This just occured to me: Duma is a liar.

Here is my argument: Duma quit because I outsmarted him and split his perfect little alliance.

Evidence

Exhibit A: While LG began insulting me almost as soon as Fate turned on him, Duma didnt. He told LG to just take defeat and stop.

Exhibit B: Duma accepts peace with me. Soon afterwards, Fate states that he wants Mantua and Istria. Until this point, there was no demands from Fate. Immediately after Fate demands the 2 provs, Alci declares he is quitting. Beli suggest we just make Venice AI.

Exhibit C: At this point, Duma becomes angry. He declares this is retarded, rhetorically asks why he ever came back to EU2, then says he is going to quit as well.

Exhibit D: At this point, the vitrol against me became much more harsh, especially from LG. Then the game crashes, I post that LG and Duma are losers and panzies for quitting. In his next post, Duma thrashes me and declares we "waste too much time arguing". The war of words begins.

Reasoning

1. Duma threatened to quit before I posted on the boards. Prior to my posting on the boards, I said nothing especially mean to either Duma or LG. Therefore, Duma threatening to quit cannot be tied to my supposed "immature" behavior.

2. Duma threatened to quit only after LG threatened to quit. If LG quit and Venice went AI, Duma would have NO allies save England. He never really worked with England in a substantial way to my knowledge. In fact, I am on very friendly terms with England.

3. Duma wanted to quit because he lost both allies at once leaving him all alone. Duma quit because he spent time and money cultivating Venice and Austria only to see that work destroyed.

Conclusion

I was right in my very first post when I said "Duma is just mad that his perfect little plan to surround France with enemies didnt work."

But alas, I am getting vaklempt. Talk amongst yourselves. I shall give you yet another topic; (if you dont get the joke, you dont watch enough old SNL)

Duma claims he was going to quit even though Austria was going to WP Venice because he had enough of the childish behavior he was witnessing. What childish behavior is he talking about? Could it be....that which resulting in him losing Austria? :D

I am not trying to defend or accuse anyone specifically here. Ryo, I think the things that Alci/LG said against you were not cool, in fact detestable. I was trying to cut him a little bit of slack cause he took over the organization of the event, which was commendable. But that's not fair or right. There are few clean hands here.

Im in the wrong, i went over the edge, ill take blame for that, my fault.

A lot of the things that is exchanged between Sadistik, Prinz Eugene, and myself are in jest, we are comfortable jesting with each other, understand that.

As for Duma's philosiphy that i went irrationally and tried to nerf my country, thats incorrect. I took out no loans, and Fate marched into my country and destroyed my 2 small armies before i even realized he had intended to actaully war me.

Fate had promised me all of italy except for Milan, it was why i joined the Hapsburgs. They told me that if i joined them, i would receive all of italy except for Milan, plain and simple.

I dow'ed Fate before the rehost, BEFORE any of you started flapping your mouths about joining france etc. Dont see how im at fault for Dow'ing considering i figured the deal was still on since fate had really said nothing to the contrary except for the qoute : "Its very tempting to keep it."

Any who, quit your bickering people.

Not really, he told you that you could make a deal for silesia when you got your core on it, not that you could have it, and what do you have that you could offer austria in exchange for it? You and alcy both expect alot for free.

You act like you know a lot, are you Fate?

If I played England and I did something dishonorable, I would be insulted and bitched as you're doing here. ohmy. Can you cut the shit off? please. At least talk this privately because this thread is starting to become in a freaky show.

When is the next session, by the way?

I actually would like to take this a bit further. a simulation of the time period can not be complete without taking on the attitude of the monarchs of the time. This means any alliance that is unbreakable is very unhistorical to the imperial age. alliances are ment serve a purpose, when its purpose is over allies may find that they no longer share a common goal, even yet they may find they are now competing for the same goal. an alliance should only last as long as you can benefit from it more than the other members of the alliance. Once you bond yourself into an allaince where you are passing up better opertunities for your nation just so you can keep to your word of trust means you have now regulated yourself not only to very unhistorical type play , but you have also giving up any chance of winning.

todays enemy is tomorrows ally, just as todays ally will soon be your worst enemy. if you cant think and play like this then you must not really understand the game.

Little difference than just "an alliance" But getting to business...

Too many players are going to be missing tonight for the game, so the next game if all are still interested is: Wednesday 12am Est.

I am thankful that the conversation has returned to a civilised tone. Good job guys, and if you'll accept that compliment from me, I mean it a non-sarcastic way.

P.S. I don't know what was wrong but my connection has returned to it's usual robust self. Hopefully I won't drop out again. I hate both not playing and forcing others to pick me up.
