With TsunamiUSA and Europe Divided both seemingly near their completion, a Transatlantic is currently being put together with the intention of having some of the best players of both North America and Europe join a single campaign and fight to create a dominant power.

The goal of the game is to be Ahistorical, but not unreasonable.
For example, If Austria and Spain do not wish to Ally, they don't have to. if Austria decides they want to keep The Netherlands over Italy, that is their choice.

If the Ottomans actually give Alexandria to Venice...
Well, That would be ridiculous, but perfectly within their rights.

The game will be innovative in the sense that Ahistorical Unification is an option.

if Venice (or Genoa, Naples, Tuscany, Papal States, Et Cetera) somehow manages to unite the Italian Peninsula, they are permitted to use the "ITA" tag.

The Holy Roman Empire, the Kalmar Union, and the Hanseatic League would also have the potential to be created.

This will almost certainly be a 1492 "Age of Exploration" Game, but the Scenario we will use has not been decided as of yet.

We will not be allowing random people join from Valkyrienet.
only people who have Signed up or have been asked to Substitute via ICQ, AIM, Yahoo, etc. will be allowed to play in the campaign.

There is no limit to players, as of yet. if we end up with 20 Players, so be it.

If someone crashes during peacetime, we will wait until January of the following year to pick them up. if it is almost January when they crash, then we will wait another year after that.

If someone crashes during a Human vs Human or major AI war, they will be picked up as soon as possible.

If many players crash due to a problem with the host's computer, the players will be picked up as soon as possible.

As far as giving cultures out goes, the policy is the following:
If someone wants a culture that is not given to them by the Scenario or by Event, the request will be voted on.

Any other major changes to a player's country will be voted on as well. Each player gets one vote, except for the Campaign Leader (at this time, SaDisTiK) who gets Two votes.

In the case of a Tie, democracy is lost and the Campaign Leader will be given the authority to make an Executive Decision and decide the matter himself.

Aside from that, there are no rules at this time.
The goal of the game is to have as much fun as possible.
That being said, insulting people and being arrogant in general is permitted, as long as the person isn't serious and trying to offend.

If someone breaks that rule more than once, a vote will be called and the players will decide whether or not to suspend/kick the offensive player from the campaign.

Those are the only rules at this time. if you want to sign up for the "Rise and Fall" campaign, this is the place to do so.

The Rules are not Final, and some may be removed by the time the campaign starts if the general concensus is that it is a bad rule.

As far as "Time" goes, I'm aiming for a compromise time that Europeans and Americans can both get around to playing.

Probably Starting Time
23:00 or Midnight EST (Eastern United States and Canada)
20:00 or 21:00 PST (Western United States and Canada)
4:00 or 5:00 GMT (Western Europe)
5:00 or 6:00 CET (Central Europe)
6:00 or 7:00 EET (Eastern Europe)

If you have any further questions, you can post them here, send me a PM, or ICQ me at 44829989.

Clarification: How to Unite a Country (Ahistorically)

As you probably know, Italy and Germany were not united within the EU time period. That being said, they, along with Hansa and Norden can be created ahistorically.

Union of Kalmar
As Denmark or Sweden, You'll have to be the only Scandinavian country, obviously, since to annex the capital of the other country, you will have had to have taken all of their other provinces.

Difficulty Level: Easy.

Kingdom of Italy
As any Italian country, all you have to do is unite the provinces on the "Boot" (Peninsula) under your rule. You don't need to take Venice, Genoa, Milan, Sicily, Sardinia, Corsica, or Mantua... But all other Italian provinces are necessary.

Difficulty Level: Moderate.

Hanseatic League
As any Hanseatic Country (Hansabund default alliance + Bremen), Annex the other 3 Hansa countries.

Note: It is not recommended to play Bremen, as not having a core on Bremen is not such a bad thing, considering they are not a revoltable nation.

Difficulty Level: Hard.

Holy Roman Empire
As any German country, You will need to have taken over 15 provinces to become the HRE... because many of the Electorates have more than one province. Basically, you need to have the majority of the Electorates, if you achieve this, it would be historically pheasable to make you the Empire.

Difficulty Level: Very Hard.

Also, I'd like to point out that becoming the above countries is Optional, and is not recommended to be done until after you have no future major events coming to you.

For Example: Do not try to become the Holy Roman Empire as Austria before inheriting Hungary.

Your Monarchs and Leaders WILL stay with you if you change your country tag, but your events will not.

Allo. I've had a desire to join a game but very bad luck in doing so. I very much like the style of this new game and I'd like to join. I've played with most of the players in your list.

Anyway, I'd like Venice, BB, or England, in that order of preference and depending on the start date. I can be reached on icq or msn (prefer msn). My nickname is the same as her on both.

I would be interested in joining this game.

If you'll take me, these are the countries that I would like to play here, in order of prioority:

1. Poland
2. China
3. Sweden
4. Branderburg
5. Papal States

BTW from my experience having more than 16 player result in increasingly unstable game (more lag/crashes) with each additional player over 16. However I may be mistaken here, I am not not 100% sure. In any case it's up to orginizer/host of course.

Storm Binder

To anyone who wishes to negotiate ANY deals pre-gamestart, the court of France is ALWAYS open. France prefers peaceful negotiation to violence, as is the nature of our benevolent nation.

ICQ is the best way to reach me. I am on frequently, but almost always between 10:00 PM and 2:00 AM EST.

My court is always open as well... to Allah-fearing Muslims or pitiful infidels who are willing to submit to me as their overlord.

I would like to play an Italian nation or Austria if possible.

Therefore Venice, Austria, Savoy or Genoa are all fine.

ICQ:23347977

edit: also playing as an Eastern European nation would be fine too

I vote to make Venice lose it's Slavonic and Greek culture, and to give the Ottomans a core on Venézia ;)

...Nah, I need Venice alive... since I can't trust my other neighbors

I will be getting myself a new internet connection soon, and would love to join this game depending on what schedule (days, time and such) are finally decided.

I have always dramt of playing Japan, but few campaigns allow a Japanese player! Can I have them?:D

If so, I have a small request: can we pleeeeaaaase change the name 'Nippon' into 'Japan'?:)

The problem with that Hive is that there is no Japan tag that comes with eu2 (that I know of) the reason we can have the formation of other countries is because of the extra tags available.

It would be a good idea for all player's to post there ICQ's, and maybe have them compiled in or under the Roster.

EDIT: It might be a good idea for me to oblige to my own suggestion :D My ICQ: 197944991
