My point is that due to cadet branches do not change family name, a royal family naturally becomes huge enough that most of the members become virtually random peasants, but somehow still retains some legitimacy of claiming the throne.

Liu Bei in late Han dynasty is such an example.

On the other hand, if you see cadet branches as part of the original royal families, then most of European royal families do not die out either... even if Europeans didn't have harems.
However, the dynasty in any european state can change freely. In Eastern Asia it cannot. Ming will only remain Ming as long as Zhu are ruling.

But they didn't have this harem system like the Ottoman padishahs historically had. (Muslim empires such as Mughals and Safavids had similar systems though.) Yet something else, something unique to those you mentioned might be figured out for the future expansions.
And how much of this unique harem system wil be in the game and exclude it from being applicable to other states? Several events maybe? The fact is that the system could be easily adapted to other nations. I'll do so on my own, but I'm perflexed that PDX prefers to create a unique system for one TAG, instead of improving historical gameplay of half the world.

Yeah, most welcome. Truth be told, the Ottoman Empire had many unique practices such as Enderun, Timariot System, Devshirme System, Eyalet System, Harem and so on which, in the long run, turned them from a small beylik to an unmatched empire at the top. Thus, I must say this unique government type "Ottoman Sultanate" is a well thought change by the devs at this point .

Take it easy my friend. There's still room for more improvement in EU4. I'm pretty sure gameplay and flavors for the rest of the world will get better by future patches and expansions.

I hate being the idiot that complains about what's in the patch vs. what's dlc, but this one really feels like it just at least be unlocked AOW too.

Now, can I know after which features the expansion was named "Rights of Man"?
I think the idea is that in the era the only men with rights were nobles.

Interesting. Any chance of buffing Merchant Republic factions at the same time? They were a neat little feature when first introduced, but Estates are so much better now that having Factions instead feels like a handicap.

Names of expansions is usually released about 2 months before release and date about 1 month before release.

There are at least 6 future dev diares shown above. One per week and we get into middle of october.

So I guess sometime on october.

The cossacks was released in december 1st so it might even be in november.
dont think that every topic shown rhere will have it's own dev diary as shown the 25th has two already

I would say it is one of these things:

I believe there'll be two to four more DD's: Military Focuses & Information will go in the next, then Rev. Republics stuff may be big enough to be worth it's own DD, and the other five (Debase currency, Minimap improvements, Bodycount, Build & Develop subjects and the MP thing) seem small enough to fit in one or two DD's, then maybe another one for achievements & maybe new NIs in the patch.

You are conflating the concept of surname and dynasty. The dynasty won't die not because some random peasant has the same surname, but because every emperor had multiple concubines and mistresses and so a number offsprings. Doesn't matter though. The fact is that in game the dynasty of Ming can die out which is ridiculous.
Yeah, it's absolutely cringeworthy to see Ming or Korea ruled by a member of the Ashikaga clan.
