As the name of the thread says, the right and lower part of the game screen are invisible. I have added a screenshot for reference. As you can see, I cannot get to the buttons on the lower part of the screen to edit the graphic settings nor can I play the game like this.

Hmm....
Go to your Documents folder C:\Users\<Name>\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II
and delete the settings.txt file.....or open it and look if the resolution (x and y values) fits you. Change accordingly.

If that didn't work or the resolution in the file is fine, then go to your games folder,
right click ck2game.exe
Properties - Compatibility tab
and check "Disable scaling on high DPI settings"

I suspect the first.
Simply deleting the settings.txt file should do.
It recreates itself on start and should have the right values then.

Deleting the settings.txt file worked, thank you!

Good.
I used to recommend the second part ("Disable scaling.."), but then it showed this works as well, but i don't know the cause and reason.

Did you have a look inside settings.txt ?
I wonder of the resolution is just unfitting or if it was in borderless mode and now in fullscreen.

I think it was because it was set to fullscreen=no. After I deleted the settings.txt it got reset to fullscreen=yes. I don't know what set it to fullscreen=no, however, since it was the first time I booted up the game on this computer.

Ah, thanks. That confirms it.
The issue happens with both other modes than fullscreen.

If you set it to windowed or borderless mode and get the same problem again, then do the "Disable scaling.." option.

It happens when the desktop font is set to higher than 100 or 125%, something like that and it seems to be like that
by default in Windows since version 8...or it happens when the max resolution is too small. Not sure.
