Ridiculously high stats

Honestly, i find his intrigue level of 34 more disturbing, since it is apparently not event driven. Or is there a "jesus gives intrigue advice" event?

I had this happen way back with Kyriake Gladius Christi; she led my armies to mend the Great Schism and reform the Roman Empire.
It's pretty rare to get the event at all, and even rarer to get it on someone who already has martial in the 30's, and it is temporary.

He's also the demon spawn, which is also why he's a Kharjite. He had other bonuses to intrigue like being an impaler.

Stats have been inflating over time. It used to be that 10 was a good martial and 15 was amazing. Now you get annoyed if you can't find three generals over 20.

It's more surprising that with a maxed out demesne of 10 and martial 53 he only has 16k troops, would have thought it would be higher.

Demon Spawn and Joan of Archetype do, but 'Jesus Gives Military Advice can happen on any character with Voice of God/Satan. I've had it multiple times on the same character, in fact, and it's rather balanced out by the fact that the Voice can also trigger 'Speaking in Tongues' (-20 diplomacy) and random forced conversions to a heresy.

They actually used to be higher on average, IIRC. There was a patch that cut down on the impact of parent stats on their children's stat growth in childhood, and before that I basically expected everyone competent enough to trust with titles to have ten or higher across the board.
Note that it's 849 and he's a heretic and thus probably taking a hit to his vassal levies, so 16K is quite impressive.
Some of the holdings were quite undeveloped, only Marrakesh and Fez maxed out for their tech. Also almost all vassals hated him including the heir who is a a grandson's son.

He was a real heartbreaker and a ladykiller when the full moon was out. In a literal sense...
He did lose ambitious, but got it back.
He's under an event chain that regularly spawns traits.
I noticed that but last patch seems to have actually increased stats overall; I don't even manage mentors by now but my early rulers are pretty crappy and later on I do seem to have mostly only competent rulers. Maybe the education tweak side effect?
I think the education tweak makes characters trend towards having the second or third education trait more strongly, assuming you don't actively do something counter-productive. It feels like it's on average worse than having them educated by someone with a level 4 education trait in their strongest age six stat was but better than picking a mentor completely at random was. Which will tend to drag up the baseline because top-end mentor slots were a sharply limited quantity.
