Ridiculous Prestige Costs

Don't know if this is WAD, but in one of my games all of the sudden prestige costs to lay claims went up by about a factor of 10. For example, for the claim to the county of Ravena (sp?) the price used to be about 217, and now it is 2217!

So what's up with that?

If you moved the difficulty up, that would explain a bit of it. Same thing happened to me, with Hungary and Germany King titles, might be a gain in prestige by that ruler.

Well, the difficulty is still set at normal AFAIK. And the 10X prestige cost is accross the board. I'm about to reload the game (as it just crashed - Paradoxian growing pains ) to see if the cost jump still sticks.

Just reloaded and costs are back to normal. I guess the game just got confused and made a place value mistake somewhere. Good to know it wasn't supposed to be that high, or I'd never be able to conquer a fellow European again! :rofl:

Hmmm - not sure. Prestige for the titles seems to be dependent on you rank e.g. the cost as a count = 150 to claim a count, duke = 300 king = ???
