Ridiculous AI behavior

I know everyone always complains that the AI does dumb stuff, but this is ridiculous...

Milan is 186 in debt but instead of paying it they decide to pay Aragon's 228 ducats of debt... they are not allies, they don't have any common rivals, Aragon is one of the strongest nations in this game, with 347 development (top 7) and 41k troops (also top 7), and in fact Aragon is allied to Milan's rival Austria! Why in the name os Zeus would he do that?

EU4 seriously needs a patch dedicated to improving the AI, it has no idea how to run a country's finances, how to handle edicts or estates, how to colonize properly or how to handle atrition.

They can't pay down their own debt properly atm.

I just gave 800 ducats to Hungary which was sitting on 470 ducats of debt.
They did nothing.

NOTHING.

It just sat in their coffers for 3 years after which I threw away the run out of frustration.

What you (and I) saw are extremely rare outliers, but it's based on recent debt changes and I don't like these outliers at all after a few playthroughs. Even less since the changes to debt managment were aimed to make nations more stable and AI <> AI interactions better.

Which is - once again - a horrible move they keep making because it always makes player <> AI interactions worse.

Just... please PDX... I'm the one buying your game. Not AI Hungary.

What you (and I) saw are extremely rare outliers

I'm sure this is not an outlier case, the same as happened with France paying Austria's debt, for the second time! while they are 500 in debt...
