ah-ha. Good call - Cav/Hus. But Warships are better?

MP-wise, yes. But they are also hella expensive and absolutely useless. At least cav has a use as a firebrigade against rebels and are useful in colonial endeavours and quick landgrabbing before the infantry can assemble.

How is it that ships are useless? So far, while I'm really playing, I've managed Spain and the Ottomans; for both, the navy has proved useful...but..maybe that usefullness doesn't outweigh the build cost + maint. cost...

Another question - how do I get a political party that's 'exactly' what I want?

Curiously, where I can modify the save files in HoI2:DD, i don't seem to be able to for Ricky...

I am using the Mac port for each.

The ships you can build as an unciv are worthless by the time you civilize, people will have commerce raiders or most probably Ironclads.

but are they still good for Mil score? Clearly, they're still good as transports. Anyone know off-hand how many Man-o-War you need to fight off a raider? An Ironclad? 10:1? 20:1?
