Iam here to announce the succesor to the Victorian Modern Day Scenario (VMDS), The Ricktorian Modern Day Scenario (RMDS). Because of the new features in Victoria:Revolutions I have decided to revive the MDS for Revolutions. If your are a new face or one of the modders that worked on the VMDS all your help will be appreciated. I will give us some time before we begin the actual modding.Just got the game must play now :( :p ). So... what can we model in Ricky that we couldn't in Vicky?

Now you can make all of the aircraft and ships that were around in the period (and are now).

You have expanded tech opportunities, cultures, countries, etc.

I'd be happy to lend a hand with anything that does not involve graphical work (Although I have made a few flags it is always annoyingly difficult for me).

Since this is a continuation of the VMDS we have alot opf progress already not nearly done however. OObs are done basically and the Tech tree needs to be expanded so I guess we will have to do it from scratch. The Events department is lacking so yeah alot of work there. download the latest public beta and have a look.

Well got the beta mod running and it actually looks pretty good! Other than my flags being all screwed up (Soviet Union with Lebanese flag?).
The OOB was either screwed up or my install was more corrupt cause only a standard units could be produced (ie guards, dragoons etc) and all Soviet troops were baseline infantry only. Where's the armor and artillery?
Dosent matter now as Revolutions does introduce more varied ground and naval forces plus aviation (does make the mod much more realistic to have planes dont u think?)
The tech tree though seemed pretty generic and unrealistic. I would love to clear that one up. The new economic/political model does make it more realistic as far as detail however. Many possibilities there.
And as always events. Could go all the way to VIP level event detail although that would take a while.

Out of curiousity, why 1952?

btw, aircrafts are just brigade attachments with some stat modifiers for infantry, and aircraft carriers are just ships with different stats. There are no proper aircraft mechanics in the game. I think the only reason they were added in is mainly for the Doomday's save file conversion which changes them to the proper aircraft type in HoI2.
