Rework elective monarchy

I would be very glad to see reworked polish elective monarchy government (and maybe possibility to switch to it for other countries?). For now investing tones of prestige to elect polish king makes no sense if he's like 1/2/1. Possibility to just invest it to other kings would be great. And you could also make it much more influencing on country's foreign affairs. The thing is, I don't talk about making it easier (buffing one of X kings surely would be easier to play), but more interesting, but, as we all know, there are many ways to balance it.

Having the possibility to back the candidates from elsewhere surely feels like it would be interesting to have as an option. Maybe falling in a PU if our prestige is low enough while we have a king from another country could be a way to balance this. I'm thinking about Sweden and Saxony interference, historically.

I feel the Elective Monarchy system needs to be expanded to other nations and needs to be better.

Hungary, Bohemia and Poland should all be elective as they often elected eachothers kings or an Habsburg King.

Wladislaus from the Crusade of Varna for example or Ferdinand Archduke of Austria becoming King of Hungary and Bohemia.

First of all, Poland shouldn't have the elective monarchy government when in a PU with Lithuania. Yes, the Polish nobles had the power to elect their kings before the creation of the PLC but Lithuania still had an inheritable throne so the whole election process was purely formal most of the time since not electing the Lithuanian heir would mean a breakup of the union. The PLC was created because the last Jagiellon King of Poland, Zygmunt II, didn't manage to produce a male heir and so, in order for the Polish-Lithuanian union to not fall apart, they decided turn it into a real union instead of a personal one.

Indeed, the current elective monarchies should favor preserving unions and have a higher chance of picking an heir when successful. Cause then having Hungary and Bohemia as elective makes sense too.

Since I'm all for historical flavour applicable to multiple countries with advantages and drawbacks, I find those suggestions very interesting indeed.
