I think some things defiantly need to be readdressed when it comes to the commonwealth nations and their overall standing within the game. Ever since Together for Victory first came out we have seen the commonwealth minors divulge into entities that either contribute a very niche role in the overall grand scheme or they underperform by a large margin. While I don't expect/want to see these nations become independent powerhouses and overshadow the majors, they defiantly need a bit more maneuverability and ability compared to what they are now.

This is a multi pronged issue that I obviously don't think will get addressed anytime soon and some people might find the current standing acceptable given the historic backing of these nations. But know the problem still remains and they still ultimately feel lack luster as compared to the nations compared to later content like death or dishonor (Ik the nations in that are literally independent nations so it makes sense they by nature have more open ended pathways, but I digress).

One factor I think they ultimately need to do is just adjust their trees to a certain degree. Much of the critical attributes of the commonwealth include the fact that they are handed huge bonuses to a particular set of technology. Which in turn segments their application because if they can over-investment and succeed for the general good of the faction then people are gonna keep them in a state of just being a research slave.

On top of that the main/more substantial sections that actually can drive the nation into more substantial positions are locked behind 20 percent WT focuses, which often take roughly 2 and a half years to get to that point if tension is managed. This is all fine and good balance wise but they defiantly can be adjust the requirements pertaining to each commonwealth minor. For example while i get its necessary to keep Australia from getting out of the depression right at the start. Whats the issue of allowing South Africa from acquiring its additional manpower by removing the segregation focus? The two aren't even comparable as the benefits they get are totally different. One turns a country into an economic powerhouse while the other allows the nation to field more men.

Overall they just need to be handled so that their more like countries instead of cogs in the system or at least be allowed more leg room to get out of their cog like state and contribute more as independent minors.

The whole of the commonwealth is in an icky place right now. Many places that should be independent aren't, borders are a little weird, they don't have as many colonial nations as they should, and Egypt is a part of the UK despite the fact it was more independent than India at the time.

Adding Egypt in is something I'd love.

It actually means there's someone properly defending Suez, as the UK AI seems to mostly just naval invade everywhere or send it's troops on stupid missions everywhere.

With that being said though it is another Allied nation, which may not be ideal for balance.

Perhaps. It being released wouldn't be an issue for me but as an additional commonwealth country with its own focus tree? That might be a bit much. I get the whole thing about the allies or what their trying to simulate here is "cooperation is key" but when you got a game where the axis are usually just as communicative and cooperative as the allies in multiplayer scenarios then that really makes a difference.
