Revolutionary France not so revolutionary

It's second half of 17th century in my TO -> Prussia -> Germany game and my long time ally - France has become Rev. France. I thought it was cool until I gave it a closer look. They are still a kingdom [absolute monarchy], they didn't get a single revolt and are still under Valois rule and don't have any special abilities connected with being revolutionary. Is anything gonna change in the next century or am I condemned to play with Not-so-rev. France?

Maybe it was contra-revolutionary France you saw.

I've seen a similar thing somewhere on the forums where this happened in 14XX.

France probably became an Absolute Monarchy if they had a Revolution and rebels sieged the capital, then enforced demands before the Revolutionary Republic event fired. Funnily enough, the event's MTTH is 24 months, and ED takes exactly 24 months when rebels control the capital, so there's exactly 50% chance this will happen when rebels control the capital during a revolution.
