Russia+-+Revolts.JPG

what can I do to stop these its been going on for about a year, and it looks like war with Germany and Austria is on the way...

A Reactionary party is in power, and most of the population are conservatives(83.2%), but I have no Conservative parties just liberal and Reactionary. I was thinking the revolts had something to do with this? and how can I stop the revolts?!

Any sort of help would be appreciated

What kind of government are you? Monarchy, Con. Monarchy, Democracy? What's your plurality? Look at a pop and see why his militancy is rising. I noticed that one area you were looking at had militancy around 6.49 or something? That should tell you that you've had a problem brewing for a very long time. Did you choose not to abolish serfdom or something? What are you taxing your people at? Or here's the kicker, if you're a Con. Monarchy have you been changing the party in power? Do you have any social reforms at all in place or political ones for that matter?

What is your war exhaustion? High WE will get many revolts. WE does not go away unless you stay at peace for 5 years after you get high WE (it lowers slightly over that time but is gone if you stay at peace).

Note that the screen does not show current WE if you are peace but it is still there

14% of your population are reactionaries. That's gonna cause problems. Have you been extendig voting rights? Giving social reforms? Thesr things will tick off the aristocrats and officers, turning them into reactionaries.

And I'm also confused as to how you have only 2% craftsmen, almost ne clerks, and yet have so many research points. Yous POPs may be havinging difficulty getting their goods as well, as they are of lower levels of development.

Monarchy

Plurality: 71.9%

Militancy is rising (I think) because they are mostly conservative, the revolters that I've looked at have all been conservative farmers.

I'm taxing people at 49.22%

I haven't changed the party in power it's still the panslavic. The only reform i done was change voting rights to 'sufferage'

I started in 1881, when does the abolish serfdom event happen? i can't remember it, it was probably pre-1881?

Any idea how i can stop the revolts now?

This is what I do in some wars.

Crime fighting is kept to around 30% during the war, less if I can not afford it.

After a major long war I have Crime Fighting at 100% to keep revolts down .. if kinda helps. A whole bunch in fact.

If it is not WE it may be nationalism. shrug, dunno

Well I think that's your problem. You're a Monarchy with a Plurality of over 70. Look at a pop's militancy. It should be going through the roof because of that. you should probably allow for all parties as well.

The revolts are probably caused by having such a high plurality as a monarchy. Since you've granted suffrage, go ahead and grant whatever the other reform is that makes you a con-mon (brain fart - can't remember other reform). Then plurality won't matter so much; that should reduce the revolt risk somewhat, even if you haven't got parties that reflect the conservatism of the population.

Now he has suffrage if he grants free parties he will become democratic. If he wants to be a con mon he should switch voting rights to either landed or wealth.

Maybe Prussia is different, I do not know. However, when I give Landed I do not change Parties. After 1-3 months, and event occurs that changes gov't to Const. Monarchy and Parliamentarism. I get Multi-Party but do not pay for that since the event switches it. I keep Right to Ban as well through it all.

You don't need free parties to change to a con mon, just a democracy:

True, however I was thinking that to get con mon all you need is landed and not any party change - the event makes it for you.

I'm not sure why you think I'm saying you need to change party rights to get a con mon, I'm not. Just to be clear: Making voting rights Landed or wealth is all you need to change from a monarch to a con mon. :)

What's your crime spending? If it's 0%, you can reduce revolt risk throughout your empire to a third of what it is by increasing it to 100%. Very nice in the short term till you get MIL reduced by other means.

BTW, the significant presence of reactionaries is a good sign that you have high MIL, since POPs only go to the extreme of their ideologies (i.e. communists, reactionaries and anarcho-liberals) when their MIL gets high.

Another thing: it's soon 1895, so prepare yourself for the coming of the Socialist Revolution ;)

:) Rafiki
