I'm sure I'm probably not the first to notice this but, in order to revoke a title from a vassal...

If I just take my capital regiment and park it over the territory I want to revoke then demand to revoke it then they will usually cave in.

(So, any tricks for getting people to accept vassalization?)

Are two provinces connected by trade route considered to share a border in a vassalization context?

I've found that's not really needed. Anyone who'll accept to be your vassal will ask you to accept them by themselves sooner or later anyway.

Not really.

Neighboring Counts who aren't in your natural duchy will never offer to join your Empire. But if you spend a year or two sending them 20-30 vassalization offers they will eventually say yes.

Especially if you send a small gift before you ask.

It could be. I prefer to see it as a long negotiating process.

But who cares?

You're playing the game to have fun, and spamming to get vassals is fun.

Nick

That is a mater of opinion i guess ;) ...

I prefer to ask politely once ... if not accepted, I find it more fun to move my large army into his lands to "persuade" him to become a good little vassal ;)
