Gentlemen, this is not a question on the massive revolts the Emperor will suffer if his BB is 30% above the max limit when passing the reform.

This is a question regarding vassals. I am Spain, and have numerous vassal states in France after dismantling her in a war. The problem is that the HRE has expanded into these vassal states of mine.

The Emperor is passing his reforms slowly but steadily, and I fear for my vassals. If he passes the second last reform, do my vassals transfer their loyalty to the HRE and become his vassals, or will they refuse the Emperor's demands and remain loyal to the Spanish crown?

Should the former be true, I shall have to adjust my strategy to delay the Emperor passing his reforms until 1650 where my vassals will leave the Empire due to hating the Emperor after the many wars I'll have with him.

Anyone know?

It says there's an 85% chance that they chose to become vassal of the Emperor when his infamy is below 30%, it does not put any conditions whether they were already a vassal of another country or whether they were in a personal union with another country.

Very well, I shall have to ensure he never makes it to the second last reform. Atleast until 1650, when my vassals will leave the Empire en masse anyway.

Edit: I plan to destroy the Empire from within. I got my relations up to 200 with the HRE, royal marriage and allied him. Yet when I try to pass the province decision to join my border provinces to the Empire they are continually refused. You'd have thought the Emperor would be happy with an Iberian Peninsula full of authority points...

This was mentioned before. If you are larger than Emperor he will refuse you joining. It makes sense as he feels you could take away his "emperorship".

And I'm the largest in the world. Right, several of my vassals are electors. Yet they do not vote for me. 200 relations, allied and vassalised. What more do I need lol.

The issue here chaps is that I can't make any electors vote for me. Two of my vassals are elctors, at 200 relations and allied. I also have 2 other electors at 200 relations, royal marriaged and allied but they won't vote for me either. They don't hate the current HRE but my relations with them are higher than the HREs.

What's your government type? I thought vassals had to vote for their Lord if he has a proper government type.

It is possible that they made it in HT where only members of the HRE can become the HRE to avoid those odd situations we used to have.

Are you still a monarchy, though? You have to be a monarchy.

Also as HRE.

No, only as Germany.
