Revoke the privilegia is insanely fun.

I mean.. i just declare war and a big swarm of locusts come and devour my enemies.
I mean ... jeeez. This is my most awesome experience in my 400 hours of EU4.
All this micromanagement, sieging provinces.. all gone :) Just declare war and let them do everything for you! :)

Really.. I think one would go Renovatio Imperii just as a last minute change before the game end.

PS: I wanted to play the game the way developers intended to, so I went more traditional about revoking the privilegia, took me 150 years. But it was well worth it.
Those who do revoke the privillegia in 10 years however, well they auto-won the game. :)

Too bad you missed it in 1.3 or whatever it was when people (including myself) were diplovassalizing France, England, Spain, Portugal, etc. as Austria and adding all of Afroeurasia to the HRE. Good times. Nothing quite like declaring war on Ming and then seeing Navarra send 5000 troops there to help out.

Edit: In fact

This was not as Austria obviously, but imagine my surprise when I DOW Ming and a year or so later, here comes the vassal swarm! LOL

In that game I only revoked the privilegia to protect myself from France (because I wanted to stay small). I never thought they'd travel to the ends of the Earth to help me out.

I am glad you are having fun to be fair I also thought it was fun the 1st time I did it; having said that I don´t think I will be pushing that button many more times because it exposes me to a world of pain after removing the FOW of ~30 AI nations. It is simply too painful to watch how bloody retarded they all are. :(

This is so true lol, im doing a WC run atm with a vassal swarm and it is just so painful watching the AI, ive been feeding them provinces to save myself monarch points (hint: religious wars let you feed any provinces taken including from allies of allies free of cost) but because the AI is just way to stupid to deal with rebels I basically have to have 4 or 5 rebel hunting stacks for my vassal's rebels. The AI seems to never lower local authority and seems to be completely unable to predict and deal with any decent sized rebellion.

I am also doing a WC for my YouTube channel and at some point I do nothing but to hunt down their &%#"# rebels because they let their WE go through the roof and like you've said they can´t handle the LA at all. While I was hunting down wave after wave of their rebels (literally hundreds of regiments) they ofc needed 10 years to win a war against Poland, Lithuania, Denmark and Castile. I ended up having to intervene in the Iberian Peninsula doing most of the work because Castile (the war goal) was happily sieging its way to northern France. It is simply too frustrating.

If you are still playing I have one big tip, if they ever stop moving their troops around or get a 20 stack stuck in exile try restarting the game, they had 100k troops sitting at home doing fuck all in one of my russian wars till i restarted

If I want to put it on speed 5 and watch it instead of playing it, sure. Cool to do once. Of course, dismantling the HRE is a much more interesting goal to have in the game, so I probably won't be doing it much in the future.

Anyone who claims they don't want a Hivemind mode that let you control all countries is a filthy liar.

Sure I want a hivemind mode, but I want it as Ternate. :)
Hmm, Ternate into HRE, that might not be an awful idea.

In my Kathiawar game I loved shipping my vassal hordes off into the Timurids and Vijay, but I had to defeat them and it wasn't always easy. They also cost me in dip points (which I needed to incorporate them as well). With the HRE I can just follow a cookie cutter pattern and then the game says "here, have the world". Absolutely fun to do once, but it's too powerful to continue to enjoy unless I simply want to dominate the game without any thought (but I'm playing Prussia for that).

As a quick side note, I'm not trying to argue that anyone is "wrong" because they do enjoy it, I'm just saying it's not for me.
