But I don't like this:

The game includes several tutorials to help players understand the very complex game play. Unfortunately, I could not complete the combat tutorials, the forces provided just couldn't complete the object layed out for them, but it really doesn't matter, as you will still learn the basic concepts involved. Another thing that I found a little disappointing was that HoI 2 suffers from the same thing all Paradox games do, the unexpected crash to desktop. When playing, I advise you set the auto save to monthly, unless you enjoy replaying large time periods of the same game.

It says he played the retail version. I also don't like this in tutorials, but it is quite common in the game industry that you cannot complete them because you screw up some order you had to give, unfortunately.

How many of us have been able to take a Paradox game and play through properly the first few times. I had a hard time with the ardennes the first time I played it, but the more i learned the better i got. I would imagine its the same thing here

Same with mine. I hardly remember the last CTD I had. Nice review though.

Well CTDs are random.. I never had them on my old machine but once I got my new one paradox games started crashing occasionally.

May it was a very early version. I have completed the combat tutorials and I can't understand how he could fail...

I think he gave that for all the b&w photos and stuff. It's really overwhelming when you see all this historical material in one place.

Well, a crash could mean a) just a simple HOI Program reload, b) needs a reboot of your computer c) you need a power cycle d) if on a laptop, you must remove the battery.

Anything besides "A" though is a Bill Gates problem, not Paradox. (or a Dell Laptop problem, like I have)
