The Second Weltkrieg - Preparations
6 April 2010, 08:00 hrs
Palais Bourbon, Paris
As usual, President Gayssot's was the first to speak in the meeting: "You surely know the reason behind your convocations, ie the Russian attack to MittelEuropa of yesterday afternoon. You surely heard in the evening also of the Finnish entry in the German alliance, quite expectable since the old German King Heinrich of Hesse died only 11 years ago. You are probably wondering why I didn't call you earlier in such an important situation, but I wanted to be all present: let me introduce you the Italian General Magagnin." [1]

Everybody in the room had already noticed and squared that man sitting close to the Chairman, mainly due to the old-looking suit he was wearing, while Besancenot recognized him as the misterious man that was talking with the President almost three years ago, at the time of the Egyptian invasion of Libya. The man stood up when he was named, and the Chairman continued: "The General proposed me his plan some time ago, but I thought that the time was not yet ripe to act. But now the situation has changed and I am quite sure we will win this war. I will now let the General explain his plan."
"Thank you really much,
signor Presidente." -started the General- "Being a Venetian myself, I hate the
todeschi and
'striaci [2] as much as you, since my land stayed under their control for too long. Actually, my plan is quite simple, but will be fatal for the Germans: whilst they probably expect us to sit in our bunker and stare ourselves in the eyes like we did in the Weltkrieg, we will act immediately and strike against Flandern-Wallonien and Netherlands, on the line of a reverse Schlieffen Plan. If we strike fast enough, we will reach the northern German border before they will be able to understand what is happening. I've prepared a synthetic map of the operation."
Everybody was looking at the map: the plan was really simple, and it was likely that with all the faster units now available the entire plan could be carried out in a matter of days. Then the Chairman, seeing the expression of assent in Bentegeat's face, spoke: "We think the plan may work, but it will need continuos supervision from his creator. Would you mind, General, to take command of the new armored corp that is being formed in Calais and follow the operation directly on the field?" asked. The General accepted immediately and, after a few more question concerning the plan, he was allowed to leave the room and go to Calais to take command of the troops assigned to him. As soon as he left, General Kelche protested with the President:" Sir, you just let him control our best armored group, 900 of the newest and strongest tanks ever built! We can't allow the first passing to decide our fate!". "What you expect, he is the Author..." [3]
[1] Yep, I've put myself in the story.

If you want to become a commander of any country, please write it down in the comment sect... ehm, in your post, specifing in which branch of the army you want to be, your name, your rank, traits, skills and a picture, chosen from the default on MDS or from elsewhere (in this case please be so kind to already resize (36x50) and rename it with the commander's name, thank you

)
[2] Germans and Austrian in really strict dialect.
[3] And here it goes the fourth wall again... Interesting fact, people like Giulio Mazarino and Napoleon Bonaparte, key figures of French history, were Italians...
