REUNIFICATION OF SCANDINAVIA​


Chapter I: Road to Revolution​


Sweden 1936. The rolemodel of western democracy - Except it's not.

Radical ideologies gained huge amounts of support during the early 30's. National Socialists led by Adolf Hitler took over Germany, Finland's right-wing "Lapuan liike" gained huge amounts of support, and Italy saw a huge rise of fascism.

Sweden had for years wanted to unify Scandinavia under one throne. After Russian Empire took Finland, and Norwegians weren't too happy for the Swedish occupiers, the 19th century left them with just their relatively small territory. Even the Åland islands weren't given to them.

Radical political parties are now calling for a new reunification of Scandinavia; done by force. On January 1936, democratic elections brought Sweden a new face:

A fascist party took over Sweden, and brought national socialism to everyday life. Denmark and Norway cancelled their non-aggression pacts immediatly, but kept good relations with Sweden. Germany would be really happy with Sweden on her alliance, but that may be in the future.

The new government has immediatly started moving it's small amount of troops to the border of Norway. Norway must be taken before 1937, then Finland, and then Denmark. Baltic States are considered to be Swedish provinces too, and once upon a time they shall be ours too!

Cores? I am planning to invade the Baltic States sometime, pretty much before Soviet Union does it. Then they would have only Leningrad with a major naval base, and taking that out with combined air/land/naval attack would totally remove their control over Baltic Sea. Alliance with Germany would be a good idea, but I am not really into going war with the Allies. U.S.A would damn surely wipe me out.

I meant are the Baltic states going to be your national provinces or just occupied territory ...

Chapter II: Norska Annektering​


The leader of Sweden, "Der Ledare", Martin Ekström soon ordered his National Army to attack Norway. Unlike Hitler, who is attempting to annex Austria by simple diplomatic means, Ekström wants to take Norway just now, and by force. On July 1st 1936, the troops were prepared. Sweden has 5 divisions while Norway seems to have only 2 divisions, and that means it will be more than easy to take over that nation.

The small airforce of Sweden started to bomb the Norwegian forces at Narvik, and two infantry divisions began an assault. One infantry division, supported by small militia group, attacked Oslo, and one division was ordered to take over Hamar. Oslo was taken in just a week, and Narvik, in 2 weeks.

Reunification of Scandinavia is now one step closer. Norwegian Army was totally pathetic. Finland shall be the next nation to take, not just to take back the Åland islands but to annex the whole nation! Hopefully they will be as easy as Norway, but that won't be so likely. Finnish Army has high morale for defending their country, unlike Norway did. With the IC and manpower gained from the annexation of Norway, new divisions can be quickly constructed and the invasion of Finland, executed in a matter of months.

Finland won't be as easy as Norway. You will surely need more divisions, if they have 10-20 themselves. But with some more divisions and maybe a small airforce, you can't fail. ;)

Nah, the events have been added in. Otherwise it's the basic game.
 
To what extent are you going to add new cores? Finland and also the Baltic states? What is the potential base IC with those additional cores?

Finland and Denmark. Baltic States are planned to be taken sometime.

Maybe somewhere in 16th century, when the Kalmar Union existed. After that it's just Sweden, Sweden & Sweden. :D
