While I started playing my first paradox game at 8 years old in 1998, and apart from not being allowed to register before my 13th birthday in 2003, I didn't have Internet before 2004.
I hereby declare that I have started a noble rebels faction with the aim of restoring the former privileges of the ancient Paradox aristocracy.
Scary, I know. (1992er here.) What I find most strange is that there's people who don't remember 9/11 at all who're now adults---and that people born after it are close to being adults.
Try and see whether the link to your old avatar still returns anything. Think that was how @Slargos established his avatar still existed on the servers (the reason he was allowed to get his back was that 1) he's member number 6 and 2) he could show that the avatar still existed on the servers. To be completely certain you could look at the avatar folder, though afaik only admins can look in those so you'd need to convince tinywiking to take a look for you.
After the Avatarpocalypse anyone who had a custom avatar retained it in their profile page so long as they didn't switch avatar. I like to think i was finally rewarded for my stubborn refusal to adapt to change. I am also an uncommonly likeable, kind and gentle soul which certainly helps. Amongst mt many great qualities is also a deep sense of humility. I am quite frankly the most humble and honest person I know.

Well, i only changed because, i one day (on Avatarpocalypse) logged in with no avatar and was said by the Powers That Be that i couldn't get it back...

And you mister are too old to remember those days, half the time you don't even remember where you are or how you got there. Like how you apparently forgot you told me yesterday I could kick ball on your lawn.

This seems like an unlikely story, and should be lent no credence. The only reason I'd let you kick ball on my lawn would be if I'd seeded it with mines first, and that's illegal.
